What is the question?
Looks like the good old problem, that the 4.01.19 ROM sets the GSM band to 900/1900
You have to enter the bootloader and set your band manually back to 900/1800.
Since O2 uses only 1800 MHz this should be your problem....
Pay Attention Entering bootloader does the same like a hard reset. All data will be gone...

The S100 supports GSM networks at 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz. Since Cingular operates a dualband network at 1900 MHz and 850 MHz (which is not supported by the S100), you are probably in an area, that is served by 850 MHz basestations only, that you cannot access with the S100.
Have you tried your S100 in urban areas, that should rather be covered with GSM 1900?
PM10A vs PM10B
Unfortunately you need a, I belief, PM10B version to be able to use the 850MHz networks. These are sold in the US & not in Europe :-(. Thsi doesn't mean your magician is useless, but it comes close for you. The hardware between the PM10A & PM10B differs, it's not a matter of the rom version.

Unlock Qtek S100
Pour debloquer le s100 viste la page web: www.aggtyvilani.com et tu trouveras un peu de tout. ca veut le coup. :wink: Alcapon

which frequencies?

Hi all,
I was wondering if any body knows how to find out which version is my Jam is it 850mHz version or the 900mhz version?
Is it possible to switch between these two versions?
I am cingular usa network...
Thanks
I can't believe nobody knows the answer...
Welll I figured it out... But now I want to download the 1.10 radio rom but for some reason the explorer gives an error when I try to download it (I am logged in)
Can somebody send the radio to me so I can try to switch from 900Mhz to 850Mhz
FYI.. I am told there were three hardware models of JAMs.
PM10A = 900 and 1800MHz
PM10B = 900 and 1900MHz
PM10C = 850 and 1900MHz (North American version, aka JAM 850)

[Q] Change from UMTS 900 --> 850

HI Guys,
did a bit of a search, but couldn't come up with too much. I;'m in australia, and have a mate who imported a UMTS 900 DVP. He now wants to change operators to Telstra.
Their "Next G" network is 850. Is there any way to hack it, or even flash with an 850 UMTS version of the ROM?
Cheers
Mike
Nope.
