Help how can i change my MDN and MSID

I recently ported my number to sprint but before then I changed the rom on my vogue and now the code the customer rep gave me to change the MDN and MSID don't work. How can I change my MDN and MSID now?

I would flash it with the standard Sprint ROM, set up the phone settings, then flash the ROM back to whatever one you want.

No wait don't do that yet. Try this. Put this program and .dll file on your phone, in my documents perhaps. Now run GetSPC, enter the ESN hex # with any letters in CAPS and hit "go" and it should give you the spc. Now hit "talk" and put in ##******# (****** being the 6 digit # u get from GetSPC) and then go to edit. U should be able to change them from there

have you tried ##402535# and then edit?

I am having the same trouble only I did not flash this phone I bought it this way and can't get in to set the msid. I cant even get the link with my computer to work but I did got the get spc files on my memory card and put it in and used astro an tryed to use it but it says it dont know what to do with am exe file. I have a htc touch 6900 and am stuck. I am such a newbie to phones so I am lost. I tried the ## number that the last guy posted . Any one have any other ideas.

The easiest way (at least for me) is to change all this stuff via WM. Just flash NFSFan's rom and change this via PST programming. Once you are done, flash back to Android.

I am running NFSFan's WM6.5 rom and am having the same issue. I cannot activate my phone because it will not take the "##*****#" code from sprint.
egzthunder1 recommended using PST programming but I am not sure what that means.

If you are using NFS, you will find a folder under the Start Menu that is called Phone Codes. The dialer in NFS is skinned if memory serves me well, which means that the ##.. codes will not work.

When trying this, I get an error message that says that GetSPC.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

help Plz!!

im trying to flash my vogue to metropcs. i need help getting my spc/msl. i have searched everywhere in the forum and none of the methods seem to work. i have a sprint vogue with the official sprint rom installed. i bought the phone with a bad esn, but i used getspc to get the spc and i changed it to 000000.I then copied the esn of my old metro phone to the new vogue. right after i changed the esn i flashed a custom rom and tried to acess qpst to change the prl but the spc code 000000 wouldnt work. plz help!!!
P.S. i did not save the old spc or the old esn so i do not kno them

Go into your windows directory and locate a file called ppst.exe - run it. It won't appear to do anything but it actually generates a file in the root of your device called ppst58.log (at least that's what it is called on mine). If you look in that you will find your ESN MDM and SPC

i ran it and i only see ppst_keygen i dont see ppst58.log at all.

Check the root of the device above the windows directory the file you saw is in my windows directory, so I think you may be looking in the wrong place for it.

[Q] Newbie In need of HELP!! with htc touch

I bought a HTC touch with Android on it off ebay for sprint. I did not even know that this phone did not come with android to show how little I know about phones... So I tried to activate it and that worked fine till I got to the part where you enter the ##nnnnnn# number to put in the msid. So ops it dont work. I dont even know how to get files on my phone, when I plu it in it does come up under ky computer. I can put stuff on the memory card but don't know how to use it under android. Some one told some else on this forum that you have to flash it back to windows change it and flash it back. there was another person that said to use a plrgram on the phone called get spc or something like that which I tried but I don't know how to get it from the memory card to the phone or how to run the program off the memroy card with android. I used Astro (don't enen know if that is what astro is for) and tried to launch the program in the phone and it said it didn't know what to do with and exe file. I am so stuck. Sorry to be such a pain.. Can any one help. All I really want to do is change the msid and that msn number or what ever that second number is called.

Sprint are CDMA no? That means you have an Vogue, not an elf. Whilst your lucky you can have froyo, you have also ended up in the wrong section. Hopefully a mod will move this

As for your problem, I personally don't know how to mess with programming settings on Android (I know it can be done via CDMA Workshop, but you need to get the program to do this and even still it isn't easy). Flash back to WM (look for NFSFan's rom, you should be able to flash with no issues as your phone is unlocked). Once you have flashed, you can easily do the PST programming from the Phone Codes folder. You can flash back to Android afterwards.

I have successfully installed everything for the wp7 on my HD2..I have used the sideload apps with not many problems.. iheartradio is working, etc.. the problem I'm having is I don't fully understand how to hack the registry so that my phone will read as a HD7..so far its reading as LEO70.. i have some apps that are working but my netflix wont work and I cant find a YouTube that works... any suggestions? Thanks in advance...you guys are doing an awesome job with this.. I've gotten this far and I'm a total noob...(before a few weeks ago I didn't even know you could do this stuff)

Did you copy the custclear.prvxml file from Ringtones to Windows using XBModDeployer and TouchXplorer, and activate with MS key?
I think this changes the registry for you without regedit and lets you use HTC Hub apps and download them from Marketplace.

yes. i've installed both touchxplorer and an xbmod deployer and then copied and pasted the custclear.prvxml from the my documents/my ringtones folder to the windows folder but it still reads as leo70 and its activated already

then i would probably have to flash wp7 again huh?? i read somewhere that you can only use your activation code 3 times and ive already used it twice so i want to make sure i know what the fix is for sure before activating it again! but thanks for trying!!

No I reflashed my phone 5 times yesterday, no jokes. Activation is good for your phone forever(ish).
You shouldn't need to reflash, just follow the guide from there on, apply all the .xaps, including the "Extras", I'm Pretty sure this is ID change, worked for me at least.

and just to be sure...cuz im really knew at this.. i open the download and then what?? do i have to extract from a folder first or just deploy straight from the dowload??

What I did was to create a new Folder and unzip with WinZip to that folde, then more subfolders for each element, just to keep track of them.
When you are synced with Zune, run Chevron unlock and keep it open in the back ground. You wont need to re-install the cert.
Run Tom .xap Installer
Then install all the .xaps and copy / paste the file, run connection setup to install the pasted file.
Then check your ID, if its not HTC HD7 T9292, as mine is, then run the Extras bit, for phone reg tweaks.

Well I don't know what was different about your zip.pack but it worked!! I started with the Chevron, then did the TouchXplorer and XBMod Deployer, copied and pasted the custclear from my documents/my ringtones to windows on my phone and then did Connection Settings and sure enough my phone had changed to HTC HD2 T9292...netflix is working, apps are downloading from the marketplace!!! THANK YOU!!!!

hey once you move the custclear to windows then run the connection setup app and your phone will read hd7. the connection setup acts as a installer for custclear. as far as i understand. correct me if i am wrong.

i have used my code more then twice you can use the code your self as many times as you want as long as you are using the code on just one phone.

I didnt have to use my code again...just reinstalled everything from the zippack he put on the thread!! thanks tho

Can you confirm if you ran the Extras or not, or was it ID'd before that?

NBHUtility Windows7

Ive searched, believe me I have!
I use NBHUtility to change the device/model id from diam10000 to diam*****
NBHUtility seems to work fine until I click build. It simply doesn't make me an .nbh file.
I tried xp compatibility mode and all that!
Is there an alternative way of changing the devie/model id so I can flash my phone.
