(14/08/2008) Scroll Launcher 0.05 - BugFix!

Scroll Launcher is a Diamond styled Launcher for WM Devices.
Scroll Launcher looks inside the windows start menu folder for all files, and then adds them to a modified KListControl from here
Requirements:
.NET CF 2.0
WM2003 and above Pocket PC device. (I haven't worked out where the Smartphone version stores its startmenu. As soon as I do, I'll release a new version).
QVGA or VGA device
2MB of RAM (may use more on VGA)

Usage:
Install the cab to your device. Execute the link called "Scroll Launcher" in Programs, and then scroll till you find the program you want!
Notes:
No icons are added yet.
A settings program is included!
EOA (ExitOnAction) sets whether the application should close when you hit a link.
The "Path" option allows changing of the path. If you have a non WWE ROM, please set this prior to use!
You must restart Scroll Launcher to apply changes.

Currently it's a single colour layer... I might try and implement some form of bitmap backround, but that'll eat memory...

well at least a black background color. white is too bright and makes my head hurt.

Have a present! I've just swapped around the black and white... Now the background is black, and the text is white!
I'm gonna release a version with the ability to configure that tomorrow!

this is great.
now im going to add a program icon to it

i have edited the black scroll launcher and added a program icon
just replace the .exe with the one in the program files/scroll launcher folder

the idea look similar to Schaps interface for hes upcoming rom nice work

looks interesting! when i installed it and run the launcher, it does not find any of my programs. the only one that shows up is the launcher in the list.
i installed on my device and i tried it on my storage card same effect. only the launcher shows up in the program list. do i need to install anything else? i only installed the black launcher attached in post number 5.

Does your ROM have any localisation? It may not work with differently named start menus. Also, are the files in "\\Windows\\Start Menu\\Programs" *.lnk files?

I'm adding some customization to it (via the registry!) so I can add that as an option.
The icons are coming, I just need to work out how best to implement it.

l3v5y, I just tried your launcher (actually referred from the finger friendly thread) and I like it a lot, it can easily compensate what pointui is missing, which is only 7 items allowed.
I don't know if you could add these:
1) Groups of the shortcuts. I have way too many shortcuts currently grouped into folders right now (for pointui access). However if your launcher supports layers, such as if I double tap office then I would be able to select word mobile, excel mobile etc that would make it a little cleaner look.
2) Index scroll, a vertical scroll bar on either the left side or right side when scrolling the corresponding first letter comes up, like what pcm contacts, icontact and random access has. It maybe too pointui-ly but certainly increases the usability of your launcher.
Just my 2 cents. Keep up the good work!

Good ideas, but they may take some time...
Currently the items are sorted by creation date, so I need to change that before 2 will work.
Groups may also take some time as I'll have to redo the click handling...

great work brother do we only install the cab file? or what to do with the other files?

Hi, I love the change to the Holy.cab, it is heaps more like glass, but a question, can anyone make a vivid rich red clock that matched the red theme, just the numbers red.

Here is a glass style clock I started to make for a theme I am creating. It does however work with HTC Black and Vodafone Red for sure. Although since the Icons in this cab are white they may need to be changed for use with Vodafone Red. I will be changing various things on the glass clock like adding color tints and refining the glass look a little more. Here is this one for the now.... Enjoy

Anyone can give me a pointer how to change the color of the numbers in the clock? All these clocks are really neat but the color of the numbers doesn't match the color of my background....

This is exactly what I want! I have installed a darkred theme and it would be lovely to have the numbers in red (or darkred). Holyfox, would you mind doing this for us??

If you use the manila editor you can open and export the manila images as .png graphic files.
Export using save as, then open the .png in an image editor (eg photoshop) and make your changes. (or edit the red .png number files I posted above)
Adjusting hue/saturation is a quick way for novices to swap colours.
Save as .png, then replace the image in the manila editor.
Copy the _manila files that you changed to /windows

Wow - That Gold Tab theme rocks.
But how have they managed to get the gold sliding tab???
On the download it says it's not included but in the screen shots you can see when sliding there is a gold square around the icons.
I still have the default black
I did a search on the forums but didn't come across anything!

Well it's the ENTIRE Gold Bling Theme in manila files.
Theres alot but once I copied them over to my X1 I have the FULL theme.
You could probably find the gold slider in there some where with manila editor but I'm happy with the full theme

The file name for the gold slider is 1e29e8e7_manila just copy it from the theme...but I will upload it for you =) just unzip and put the file in the windows directory in your phone.

New font for tf3d, works and looks great!
One problem is that in the Weather tab the font is to big to show the deegre, it will be a little bug, but you can still figure out the deegre

the bars top (where operator details) and bottom(Icons) are the curtains, so the background is clearly seen now.
If you have the default diamond style background it's black so you wont notice, but with some colour it looks ace.

I installed TF3D config in my Xperia in order to change the default theme installeb by the TF3D-HD cab... I cannot make it work. I always get an excpetion error message. is this something known or is there a different application i have to install?. the version i'm using is the .6.7.

Its known. You have to edit the registry or delete an xml file. Can't give you the exact data but with the info you should find the solution in the advancedconfig-thread.

In my eyes Tf3d is running even faster, and the phone is faster when Tf3d is a panel, I even maneged to use costume Images as you can see in the screenshot, Tf3D panel is the panel with my picture, you can use what ever picture you want
Just make sure they are the right size and name and saved as .bmp
1. landscape.bmp (200x120)
2. large_landscape.bmp (400x180)
3. large_portrait.bmp (240x350)
4. portrait.bmp (120x175)
Then put those files in Program/panels/tf3d

Its already in Swedish, just install and it will use the phone language

Is it possible to add smaller cities to the weather application?
I know it does work for the Diamond. I tried a database-editor but the programm didn't start correctly and TF3D wasn't working anymore...

Any way to set TF3D NOT to reset the right softkey to <Today>? Everytime I run it, it resets the right softkey to <Today> and I have to manually remap it back to <Right Softkey>. It's a bit inconvenient.

M2D Comm Manager Skins (19th Nov)

People have been making alot of excellent themes for M2D, but one thing that gets missed out on is the Comm Manager, so i thought id create this.

If youd like one made, just say so below, but make sure to include a link to the theme, i dont want to have to go searching through 400 pages (if its not listed on the front page), a link makes the process easier for me .
These have all been tested with Syrius R4 on my Polaris, i cannot vouch for other devices.
They arent full overhauls, im using a standard button that i customized myself, and then ill add some touches from the theme here and there. I mean who has the time to completly redo everything...everytime? Not that it makes it easier, they still take a fair amount of time to do. The goal is simply to match everything in as best as possible to you dont go gah! when you open the Comm manager
UPDATE: You now have the choice of 2 buttons, glossy or matte, and obviously i will change the inner colour to match the theme.

Is there anyway to install the HTC Comm Manager on the Samsung Omnia?
I just tried obe of your cabs, it installs fine, but when I try to open it the screen turns buggy and I cannot see anything...
Any idea?

I believe The Omnia has its own custom Comm Manager, this is based off the HTC Opal Comm Manager, therefore i dont think they are compatible, sorry.
I will have to find the Omnia Manager and see what i can do...

The pb I have with the Omnia Comm Manager is that it has only 3 options: wifi, blueooth & phone. There is no way to turn down data and push mail selectively when you go abroad

dont know how much work it'd take to do so, but if possible, could u make the icons and sliders the same color as the ones from ur BlueBlack City comm. manager? i used M2DC to change a lot of my fonts and such blue with the Metal theme, so the blue icons would make it match perfectly for me...

One theme for each of JCKOTZE's Diamond basic themes (all colors as I change as my mood changes) from here please!

Ok im almost done Jckotoze's "grass" theme that was requested above, and im going to change the metal theme later to include the blue sliders and icons as requested.

Grass Green Comm up on first page. I now have 2 sets of buttons i have made for these, one set is glossy, the other are grey and white matte.
You can see the new buttons in the Grass Green theme.

JCKOTZE blue and orange up. They also have the matte buttons.

Any more requests?

Lime Comm Manager cannot be install.It stated Installation was unsuccessful.The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions Does anyone know how to install??

try soft resetting and then installing immedietly, it may have been open in the background.
It works perfectly on my Polaris with Syrious R4 rom...

I'm having issues with the HTC_ themes where the highligter bleeds the background through and then remains highlighted even when you scroll to another option. Anyone else have this issue?

The Comm Manager i have installed looks a bit different, and has only 5 buttons (no flight mode), version is 2.7.2.8. I guess then i cannot use this skins?

i´m running touch-it 3.5 by Itje, skins are working. they look very beautiful!!!
also got issues with installing, but after softreset try to install again, and it worked.
sadly same problem with texts in comm manager, for example when switching on WLAN, the text changes from "Turn on Wi-Fi" to "Turn off Wi-Fi" and both texts are visible, so you can´t read it anymore. even worse with the "Phone" and "Airplane Mode" button/text...

[HOWTO] 'unflat' (we want 3d gradient!) top and bottom bars in HTC Black

thing is, i want to have those vista like 3d gradient menu bars in my htc black theme. i searched this forum, the registry in my phone (found things like basehueexpress, color_titleflat/color_captionflat reg keys...), but nothing worked.
can you please help me 'unflat' those bars? i'm tired of this solid black...

yeah, a literally "black gradient" will be solid black anyways - i meant i want everything from the htc black theme, BUT with grey-to-black-gradient no-flat bars.
themegen ce is a thing i've already come across, besides it couldn't load the orig HTC Black.tsk file - i might re-create a black theme with non-flat bars, but (i suppose) this is something someone else around here has already done before. dl link anyone? :-D

Settings -> Today, choose Guava Bubbles theme
regedit, now:
hklm\software\microsoft\color\basehue -> to 160.

Ok, i got task manager program with a regeditor and i changed that value to 160 but now it is a turquise/green colour! im not sure what is goin on now!
It was decimal that i needed to select. Sometimes im just dumb!!!!! no more pot for me before i decide to play with my phone

PS. I haven't tried this myself on the Diamond, but I had it on my older devices.

BaseHueExpress would do the trick _after_ selecting guava bubbles theme, to avoid reg editing.. it has no effect on the original htc black.tsk theme, cause the 'flatness' and 'blackness' is kinda hardcoded into this theme. Though its a good app for quickchanging the magical basehue value without manually touching the registry

the skin looks very nice, very aesthetic. i dont have wisbar, so it is as beautiful as useless for me ^^ but nice work anyways!

sure i can. here it is - it actually looks much better in realworld, than on the screenshot. fits really well to the tiny little pixels on our precious vga screen.

Download and install Wisbar, found here

Download Zifi VGA, found here:
http://www.ziao.nl/2009/02/release-zifi-vga/
Copy one (or all) of the three folders to your device, Storage recommended.
Go to Wisbar settings, install a new theme and browse for it.
Tweak wisbar to your likings and Enjoy =]
