Change Dialer Screen

Please can someone tell me how to change the background screen on the dialpad to a more legible offering. I thought of replacing BKGND_PORT.BMP in the Windows directory but this file is read only and cannot be changed. Any (simple) suggestions please?

These skins would be exactlywhat I am search for, except that they disable smardialing! With over 1000 contacts in the phone database i really do need smartdialing.
So, is there any way of getting very large dial pad numbers, but with smartdialing enabled?

Try the smart dialer with Eten large button. I love it.

Just tried it on a Prophet, did not install. Says it can't be installed? too Bad.

I have an Orange M600 and had the same problem. Remove all the bits that it tried to install, then install the basic ETEN product (without the smart dialler) and then the modified one above installed perfectly.

Great skin! I like it! Isn't there one for Universal? Or look-alike?

he said post one you like...I suggest you do what he said if you want to get this resolved

The problem is the way Palm programed the Treo Dialpad...it overrides any changes you make to the WM dial pad. There was a way to get the standard WM dialpad to show up...however, it would disable voicemail notifications...

To me that is a Theme and not a plugin. Just do a search for PC Theme as there are many out there and free.

If you do mean the calender plug-in, that is TodayAgenda, have it cooked into my custom Kaiser ROM, just google for it, there are cabs available, in fact, I think dutty's cab collection has it.

i tried dutty's site..and theres nothing to download in his .cab section

ok, i just installed a cab...but its not as nice as the one on my wizard...it has a different icon, and the no upcoming/tasks is not in the same place

Maybe ask Alex for a cab, the TodayAgenda I have looks exactly like your screenshot.

ASerg Touch Dual Dialer - small problem...

i love this dialer - especialy the contact-list...
on the screenshots u can see the problem i think...
the colour is green instead of white or light grey and the left soft-button is missing as well - and funniely the "redial"-button works FINE!!
a friend of mine has an O2 branded P4350 with the same promlem...
any reg-keys i need to change?
its a german P4350 on the original german HTC Rom...

I installed the touch dual dialer, and i don't seem to have this problem.
Could you post the dialer cab you have here so we can determine if its a cab problem or a phone problem?

attached the cab file... i had five 4350 because of other hardwareproblems - always same thing... a friend of mine who owns a O2 (german) branded 4350 has the same problem...
perhaps its a problem with the german original htc rom? than i can only hope that there is a registry key to change...

i dont have my phone with me at the moment, but try this fix. It was originally used to fix a bug where the text would be black and thus unreadable, but it works by turning the text white.

no effect on the dialer...

eh, makes sense. or at least, not unexpected. lemme try the cab.

i found this in the artemis section. it worked on my diamond
unfortunately i lost the cab file sorry. but search and try it, should work ok

tried on a raphael and it's not working

i think it is one the best thing we have on the diamond. but anyways your opinion is also correct coz of the compatibility of the apps
