PLEASE NOTE I AM ALSO THROWING IN MY 4GIG SD CARD THAT I BOUGHT FOR THIS PHONE
This is by far one of the best phones I have owned, I have had it for approx a year and a half and always treated it as if it was one of my kids !!
It does have a few scratched and one or two cracks on the casing but nothing major at all.
This phone works fantastically, BUT WILL NOT WORK ON A PAY AS YOU GO SIM
It will only work on a PAY MONTHLY CHIP.
It has everything on it including : office, email, skype, WiFi, internet explorer.
This is the ultimate work tool.
Ask me any question and hopefully I can answer it.
Thanks
Steve
£250 or a sensible cash offer

Sorry, but I bought my (third *) one on eBay, 3 months old, perfect condition, for £180 including a ton of accessories. They are easy to unlock... software available on buzzdev.... I am using an Orange SPV M5000 on a Vodafone Netherlands PAYG SIM, the other a JasJar on a Virgin UK PAYG SIM, sometimes put my Vodafone contract SIM into either one and it works fine... looks a tad overpriced if you want a quick sale...
(* I have had one stolen, I have two others as I simply need backup while working abroad).
OK
Ok no probs but that is why it says :
£250 or a sensible cash offer
Thanks
Steve

Sim Locked or Sim Unlocked?
Hi, i have one, its unlocked. very nice, very quick, google market ist good, many aps and tools and games.
obdat

its a great thing, i played with this all around the day
vodafone uk UNLOCKED
well i just stuck an o2 sim card into my vodafone magic AND....

I want one....
Hello
hot one on monday from vf germany and I am dissapointed.
The reaction of the touchscreen is not very good calibrated. Many touches are not recognized.
Especially at the borders of the screen.
AND
the whole Android 1.5 system feels very very slowl.
The G1 is much more respnsive.
And when I want to load PacMan from Marcet Store it is not working.
I am disapointed. The Magic feels much cheaper than the G1 - and this one was also not feeling very expensive.
I send it back and order a G1 again.
The new 2009 HTC devices are not as good as the 2008 ones.
Just got my Airtel Carrier - HTC Hero (unlocked) 2.73.720.5
Im surprised that everyone besides India have a 2.73.4xx firmware. Is it just me or did India get a smaller updated edition (revision) compared to the rest of the world, or is this just Airtel's doing of a little extra in the firmware/rom.
After running from WM to the iPhone, Ive finally made peace (hopefully) with the HTC Hero (Android). Being an avid Star Trek Fan...all I can say is I've got "Data" - what about you all
I did my little share of forum searching, but I couldnt find a single post regarding the Airtel HTC Hero (the last HTC Magic was locked with that stupid and insanely painful SPL), so my question begins with
1) Is the Airtel HTC Hero using another crazy SPL?
2) If so, what guide should I follow for unlocking (ability to ROM upgrade/change)
3) I can confirm that we are NOT locked to SIMCARDS - I can use my Idea Cellular Simcard just fine.
Added questions include - are there "Kitchens" like we used to have for Windows Mobile ?
Hope someone can help me out here - I'd love to be part of the ol' Cooking & Chef team
Nice to know that Airtel has brought in the latest version of the ROM.
Did you buy it with the Airtel dealer OR from a conventional distributor. At Bangalore, it is priced at 32K. How much did it cost you?? I am more of a palm guy...the palm pre just does not seem to come out.
I paid 33,600 actually Couldnt get a better deal and didn't want to wait a few more days since I'm off to USA tomorrow (rdosti = shivam)
Performance
Guys,
I am planning to buy Hero through Airtel and have a few questions,
1. Is the airtel version unlocked ?
2. Should I buy from Airtel or open market ?
3. Any reasons not to buy it ? Performance ? sluggishness ?
and lastly, is it simple to update the firmware, I am very keen on the new Android 2.0 update for the new google GPS app.
thanks in advance,
Jaspreet
Only the first part of 2.73.xxx.x bit matter. The "xxx.x" refer to carrier and regional customization, the ROM is basically the same.
have same phone, in China.
Hi,
Did you root the phone? I have the same phone, but i bought it in China for 3100 rmb. I'm trying, and im stuck on downloading 'boot.img'... FAILED (remote: not allow)
im going through this guide. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=548218
Hope it works. ill post results later.

So, anyone got an dual sim adapter working in gingerbread?
I´m trying to put my magicsim working with miui but its not working, in the stk app i can´t change sim, anyone managed to put it working?
thanks in advance
I would like to know this too. There is a company called EuroDual SIM - they claim they have 29th generation that works with Gingerbread. However I am still not sure if it will work. It costs 20 euro. I would maybe buy it but only if I would be sure it works.

i read somewhere that this company is not very advisable..
the 29th gen of magicsim is the fake. The only magicsim works for HD2 gingerbread is the real 28th gen PLUS, CUT version (UNCUT version won't work). Search ebay for it.
Yep he's right. 29th gen version doesn't exist. You need the 28th gen PLUS for gingerbread. The seller directdevices on eBay sell it. I've had a few off them and they're always helpful.
Alternatively i've got them from here before too www.magic-sim.com and its always been a great service.
Hope this helps
I know this topic is quite old already, but does this work with all roms? (and maybe ICS roms in the future?)
Thanks!
my dualsim adapter working with gingerbread ( cm 7.1),but its not working with gingerbread(wajkiui),change the ROM to cm7 (but I prefer wajkiui, like this)and working very good.
