Google Map problem - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

Hi all, I am using HTCP3600i and got a problem:
Using PPC IE to browsing "http://maps.google.com/", it can't display the map
anyone can help ? is the IE can't support it ? thanks !!!

PIE can't, as far as I know, render Google Maps. Just do a search here or look around Google and download the .cab for Google Maps. Or do yourself one better and get Live Search for your map needs. I find it to be much better than Google Maps, especially with the voice recognition.

You have to install Live messenger, it contains the Live search too. It is not officialy released by Microsoft for all WM5 phones, so you have to search for Live Messenger for mobile. I cannot give you a link.
Good luck
hi everyone, i have got windows live search on my to day screen and i was wondering if was possible to change the light blue boarder around the search bar to transparent or another colour.
Thanx in advance.
Thanks
I've managed to find the Live Messenger cab file but the program wasn't really what i was expecting. I was hoping just to get the Live Search on the today screen. All the Live Messenger does is search the web Thanks anyaway.

Have you downloaded latest satellite information using QuickGPS app. Should already be installed on your device. If not, a quick search should find it.

New googlemap 4.1- does it support D.compass?

Does the new 4.1 of googlemap support the compass? I just found out that googlemaps supports the HD2 digital compass(I have the usa t-mobile HD2) but I updated to 4.1 (version with voice lookup) already and I tried rotating the HD2, but the arrow still points in one direction no matter which way I turn the HD2. I tried disabling GPS in googlemaps and still didn't work. I tried manually setting gps to com4,57600, and still it won't give true facing.
*bump* nobody yet?
where did u get the google map 4.1 from ?

I downloaded it with Opera.
I can't get compass input yet.
It gives an error when I try to show the position of GPS photos.
It does install its cache to SD if it's installed there.
you can download the GPSMod Driver, it lets you use the compass with any application

3D Maps Navigation

Hi All
Was wondering, is there any GPS application, apart from Google Navigation, that uses 3D maps without a live connection to the internet? At the moment I am using Co-Pilot live, however I would love to have a 3D map navigator on my HTC.
Anyone knows of anything? I know Aura will maybe launch in the future for Android, but until then?
Cheers
IGO, Motonav.
thanks, is it a free application?

Do you have a website since I only found direct links to downloads
http://www.igomyway.com/android/en/overview.html
Thanks for the link. However it says that the HTC desire is not compatable. Do you have to download anything extra?

[Q] GPS (which GPS apk do you recomend ?)

Which GPS apk do you recomend to use ? With precise european maps & good graphics resolution for i5800 screen.
Sygic has not good resolution for i5800 and Navigon looks OK - but no experiences.
At Windows mobile I was very satisfied with Igo 8
As OpenStreetMap Contributor I would recommend MapDroyd or OsmAnd. For those who don't know openstreetmap, take a look at wikipedia (can't post links as new user...)
I am using copilot live, and love it really. great screen resolution, no crashing.

thanks, and what about maps ? does it cover middle europe ?
Take a look here: hxxp://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Android
And in Germany you can't get better maps than OpenStreetMap. And best thing is, even if there is something missing, just add it yourself. Maps are and will be free.

Hi,
iGo is not available for 240x400 resolution. I use NDrive for navigation and i am totally satisfied with it. Has the same detail level in maps as iGo i think.
