Help with Pandora Radio - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

I tried to find a way to play Pandora on my TYTN2, but have had no luck (Opera, PIE, TCPMP). Any advice on how to make this work would be really appriated. Also I never know where to post my graditute for this fantastic community so I will take the opportunity now. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!

Pandora doesn't work with WinMo, but you can use this app created by jaslo1 to listen to last.fm. It's pretty much the same thing as Pandora.

Any updates on Pandora coming to WM?

I know this isn't Mogul specific, but I just happen to have a Mogul phone As some of you may or may not know, Pandora (www.pandora.com) is an online radio that streams your type of music. I've search quite bit and haven't had any luck with people getting Pandora to work on WMobile phones. Thought I'd ask here incase someone knew of a way to natively run Pandora on their phone.
I know of a way to stream Pandora but it would require quite some work, but if people are interested enough, I could post a work-around tutorial.
Apparently pandora is developing an official app for Windows mobile, but i'm still interested in your workaround. care to explain?
Pandora may be closing its doors
Sorry to burst you bubble about Pandora, but I just read about it yesterday. So unless they get this fixed dont expect anymore updates.

Why not try this instead?

It's just like Pandora....
oh dang that sucks. i hope they pull through because i really like pandora... but lastfm thats very interesting i might just give that a try also.
my idea was to set up a server on a computer that would listen in on pandora and stream it through a webcast so that you could connect to it with a ppc. although all you can do is listen, but at least its streaming your favorite stations to your favorite app like tcpmp.

[REQ] Internet Radio Streamer

Hi anyone know of a good open source, free internet radio streamer? the microsoft one is so poor its unreal. I would like to have something a little better.
regards
Hi Aley,
I'm using MORT Player since Years. You only have to find out the steaming URL and edit the Mort Player Internet-Radio List. It's so easy and there are a lot more functions!
I never used WinAmp.
Chears,
Vitkor
Try KinomaFreeplay. Works very well.

I use the free GSPlayer, it handles all my MP3 and OGG streams.
Thanks guys for the great posts, is there a way to import these links/ favs to the players or must i manually go to the folder where i saved them to and copy them from the device to pc and visa versa
Here are some good websites for music:
1. http://www.thestreamcenter.com/pda/
This site is the best of the three and offers more streams than the other two combined so be sure to check this one out first. This site plays the streams in windows media player.
2. http://www.mobtuner.com/
3. http://www.htcradio.com/
These sites work well with GS Player and yes you can save the music streams locations right to your phone to load up quickly with GS Player.
the pandora client works nicely for me. I can post the cab here if you guys cant find it
I vote for GSPlayer. It faster, has less hangups and is easier to use to browse to my radio links folder.
all the above programs are good for streaming radio..... but i've just tried pocketlastfm which works like pandora but you can use it outside of the US. you put in a genre or artist and it continually plays tracks from similar artists/genres...... it's really good!

I´m trying to find the cab for Pandora.
I´ve found one but it seems that it´s not working fine on the Diamond. Some errors on the start screen visual basic lines... I hit ignore and it appears it connected just fine. I managed to get the keyboard out to log me into pandora, and I could see my radio stations, but when tryied to hear to one of them, it hang out on "connecting"...
Can you post your cab here? or can you pm me with the cab?
Thanks.
kick in the $30 and get Kinoma. Totally worth it!

Internet Streaming Radio App [for outside of the USA]

Hey guys,
as the title say, I am searching for an App for streaming internet radio. I found Slacker and Pandora by searching the forum, but both programs only work in the USA.
Since I'm in Germany, I'm searching for an App which can stream internet radio over here.
ACTUALLY:
It is just about this radio station I want to listen to on my TP2: http://radiometro.com.au/player/listenonline.html
I copied this link into the "Streaming Media App" on my TP2, but it only said 'invalid link'. So if anyone could tell me how I could get it done to stream this radio station on my device, I would really appreciate.
Thanks,
Don
Try this one;

I am using for a long time, and its awesome. many different style-oriented radios as well as regular ones. you can see track list on the screen.
I love it.
Enjoy

open that page in your browser. In the View menu select Page Source
About a quarter of the way down you will find a line containing this
http://67.220.196.164:7777/listen.pls
Copy that and paste it into your browser (or alternatively copy the one above). When prompted save the file to your hard disk then copy it to your storage card.
Coreplayer will open it and play your radio station
HTH
Thanks a lot for the replies, but unfortunately none of them solved my problem.
@ royhapper: Installed it, started it, selected a channel, can't hear anything. Tried lots of channels, did 3 softresets,... reinstalled it,... no chance. Doesnt work
@ stunno: downloaded the listen.pls, but I dont feel like spending $30 on the CorePlayer. I know that I could use it for more than just streaming Radio, it definitely looks like a good player, but still.... $30 seems a little overpriced in my opinion.
Any other solution?

Give miasto muzyki one more try, I suggest. I am also having same problems since 2-3 days, its a system update or something I suppose. But now its working. I am listening at least.
This is a radio from Poland, you are closer than me, it must be easier for you )
@ royhapper: Still doesnt work.
I found an App called "Wunder Radio" which lets you listen to just about any radio station on this planet. There is a 15 day Trial Version,... and you can get a licence fpr $14.95
http://www.jeyo.com/radio.asp
Still dont want to pay though,... so if anyone figures a cost-free way, let us know
Try GSPlayer. It's a freeware media player that can play Shoutcast and other internet streams. I just tried it with the site you are trying to stream and it works just fine.
1. Download GSPlayer from http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA032810/
2. In GSPlayer select Menu > File > Open URL
3. Put in 67.220.196.164:7777 (don't add the /listen.pls part or it won't work)
4. It should start buffering and streaming...
It worked for me, and it shouldn't be limited to the US, since the GSplayer is from a Japanese site.

Official Spotify for WM 6.x

Guys, the official Spotify app for WM 6.x is OUT!!!
http://www.spotify.com/int/blog/archives/2010/10/04/windows-phone/
This put a smile on my face. Glad to see that some of these developers still care about WM 6.x users.
ahh, requires premium, shame.
looking at all the different mobile apps they all need the premium service
Why is Spotify not available in my country?
Click here to find out why…
Germany gotta wait...
This was all I was waiting for... Spotify now have one more Premium subscriber.
One problem with the app for me though... every time a new track starts, the volume gets reset to the lowest setting. Is anybody else getting this? I'm on a fairly new EnergyROM... can't remember exactly which.

I have the same problem. I suggest you report it at: http://getsatisfaction.com/spotify/problems/recent

FREE streaming internet music. You can listen to preset stations or create your own by simply entering a band or song you like.
if I am not mistaken, slacker and pandora work only in the States though.

Another Premium member here now however my main issues is that I cant get it to play over ad2p to my head unit. Windows media player is the only mp3 player that will from what I can tell. Very annoying.
I get Spotify to play perfectly fine with A2DP. However, the AVRCP part doesn't seem to work. I'm using an HTC HD2 with at Nokia BH-503 headset.
