I'm trying to copy the larger vga .exe into my windows folder, but it won't let me as they are read only. how can I do this
maybe I'm being a dumbass, but could someone tell me how to do this?
help me please
use a tool like Resco Explorer that can set/reset attributes, or can overwrite read-only files.
cheers bud
or just use shortcuts to the original exe file?
I had the same problem with some "Pocket MSN" files.....
Try to rename the old files. For example, rename them by adding filename"_old".exe
Copy the new files in place and try to delete the old ones. If this is not possible, just leave them.......
I just installed a font, than realized how much space it takes up on my onboard memory. How can i delete this font??
What did you use to change your FONT? thru Fontlink technique? if yes, try to delete those created entries on the registry then soft rest..after soft reset..delete the font on \windows\fonts or to where you have put the font..then soft reset again..that should revert your fonts back to Tahoma.

Click to collapse
1. move the font file to, say, the root directory
2. reset the PPC
3. delete the moved font file
This is the only way to get rid of semi-locked font files.
I installed the font by just copying the font file to the Font folder in the Windows dir.
BTW - How is Fontlink? Can you have the font file anywhere with that program?
I just deleted the font. I just changed the file extension to something other than .tff and than i was able to delete it.
Hello,
I am looking for the manila file that contains the dutch translation of the calendar text. Right now I see IDS_TOMORROW on the touchflow3d calendar while it should say "Morgen". I have found a thread about the german manila file, but not the dutch one. Does anyone know which file I need to edit to add this translation?
Edit: ok, found the file and fixed the translation. You need to add the following:
<trans-unit id="IDS_TOMORROW">
Morgen
</trans-unit>
to the file /windows/7a56f756_manila
David
I also have the IDS_TOMORROW problem but I cant file the "7a56f756_manila" file in the "file /windows/" folder.
Is it the wrong file?

Nope, it is the right one. Are you using Resco explorer? you might have Resco set to hide hidden or rom files. Change that in the settings of resco and you will see the file.
David
What is the right way to change the file?
I can't get it opened...
thanks
Why dont you just change the language of the TFLO3d.
I run a german rom and an English tflo3d
Dimond TF3D Config did that for me.

I will add it to wiki
Hi,
My TF3D is already Dutch, but for calendar appointments for tomorrow (in Dutch, tomorrow = "morgen"), it displays IDS_TOMORROW.

It took me a while to get it done as well. The best way to do it is to get the file on your desktop system, edit it, and then replace the original. You will probably have to do that through the SD. First copy the file to the SD card, then drag it to your desktop. Edit it. Save it back to SD card and then using resco file explorer replace the original file.
If you can't get it done, let me know, I can upload my manila file so you can replace the original one.
David
thanks a lot !
it worked
Do you know what is the file for Spanish?
Thanks
Here is my Delete Bing .wav files mortscript is there any faster way to delete them? It just takes longer on the startup. I'm not all that good with mortscript so if anyone knows a better or faster way let me know.
PS the reason for Deleting them as they are moved to Program files anyway and are not needed in Windows. Plus they show up as ring tones.

Instead of deleting them with mortscript, why not add them with a cab or mortscript rar install during customizations.
I dont know why you're wasting your time with that anyway... Not like you can delete files that are cooked in anyway !!
And to offer a better solution... either do what indagroove suggested, or put rename all your wav to wa_ when you cook them in, then with a mortscript or a simple app.dat move to them program files and rename them back *.wav
I think I will try indagroves method. Anything using app.dat will still leave the original files in windows just like the original External package does.
Thanks for the help guys.

Thanks, I ended up using a zip and mortscript to install them, problem solved.
Hi, is there any way how to edit XT9 words on PC? I know about the et9MyWords.exe app in WM, but I want something more comfortable...
Thx
EDIT: Ok, I've found that editing HTCMDB.txt from Windows directory does the job...
Nice. Thanks for this info.
How do you edit and save HTCMDB.txt file? It's a system file found under Windows folder. Won't allow modification of this file.
Any work around?
htc x9 edit
i used total commander (explorer dose not allow you to modify system files) to copy the file to sd card (otherwiswe wont let you edit it) edit+save and then copy to windows folder (overwritting) and that s it
I was able to do it using Total Commander. But it doesn't seem to work. The additional words i put in there were not recognized. And the edited file with more words is only half the size of the original file. What went wrong?
in fact i've translated part of the words allready existing in the file (takes some time to do them all manually) and it worked thow i did not take notice of the final file size
I can't add new words to the list? Only change existing words?
