The Best Rom

I have just go my xda back from o2 as the screen failed and dont know what rom to use.
its a o2 uk xda
i have had dev rom 1.1 and 1.2
and ppc 2003 4.0.5
but dont know what to use for the best.
i play music movies lots of games and the most important thing is that my TOMTOM is 100% and all working
anyone offer any ideas?

Hi. i've been through many versions too, went back to original rom, found it to be too limited, especially once you are familiar with wm2003.
I then upgraded to 40005 a month ago. I also play many videos/music/recording stuff, esp when I am stuch in trafic . Found 400005 to be real stable . You c that download from jeffs rom kitcken.

thanks for that so you are saying ppc 2003 .05? does that work okay with tomtom ( i used this rom but then screen broke so some how managed to get origianl rom back on for warrenty repair)

Windows Mobile 2003 SE on XDA/MDA?

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has any news if Windows Mobile 2003 SE will released on the XDA/MDA?
I know that many people did not expect Windows Mobile 2003 to be released on the XDA/MDA but that happened!

why would anybody vote no ?
if they dident want the upgrade they could just not install it...

I had to go back to my old PALM TUNGSTEN W since my XDA phone sucks as a phone.

I don't remember how to pass a phone call with the PALM though, can you enlight us please :lol:

Should read, "place a call" or just "call"

WM6 Arabizer

If Anybody could help us Dumping or running the Arabizer that comes with all i-mate devices on Wm6 , that would be great. Anybody interested please ?

I don't think it is possible. I know that a lot of people have been trying to crack the Hebrew support for WM6 and no one has been able to yet. I assume that the problem is the same with Arabizer as with the Hebrew support.

Yep , and the sad news , HTC is no longer manufacturing for i-mate devices . they are 2 different companies as i understand. The arabizer suite is found on the net but it's a 59.99$ package. unfair !

I know exactly what you mean. The 2 companies (for hebrew) are PDAC and Eyron. The best that I have been able to do so far is to get hebrew fonts installed but all the text is backwards so I can read it but with much difficulty, and of course there is no way to write.

I use the Imagent arabizer and it is working fine

same here, imaginet arabizer is great, the fact that it's cracked somewhere on the net, and i think it's not possible to share it here on these forums.

Hi,
I've upgraded my PDA2k to WM6 and installed Imagenet Arabizer. Finally I can read Arabic SMS but my problem that whenever I try to send or reply to SMS the number of characters lefts shown out 70 even though I'm witting in English not Arabic. Any body experienced same issue ? what might be the solution ?

The method i had used ( copy and paste skin files to windows folder ) don't work this time. It's seem like the skin files were placed in rom portion and can't be modified. Anybody has solution?

this is a good one
your today screen is just like wm6.5 if i think of it your all wm is like the wm6.5
(but with no touch screen)
users are tring all day long 2 get there devive 2 work like yours
anyway as for nav app i know tomtom have a Version 4 sp - smart phone (no touch screen )
windows mobile standard
as 4 your today screen googe 4 SBSH apps (apps 4 SP)

Yes, the home screen is like 6.5....but there's no buttun to change the panels
In the center there's something like a touchpad button, as the lateral Joggr in the Excalibur. I found a small HP Cab to choose the settings for that pad yesterday and now is better EVVAI!
I'd like to custumize the home screen, maybe it's possible to chage the icons or stuff like that.
Is really a good device, but now there's just 79 mb free storage on 256 mb.....that's a problem!! Why?!?
For the gps: I'm using Garmin XT, on COM 7 but no fix....what I have to do?
The camera program....it's pretty much difficul to use the digital zoom but I guess that it's possible to use the custum HTC program....I have to try it-!
Finally: no other people is interested here?!? There's only me?

if i had such device first thing i was looking 4 was an app that will get me a pointer like a mouse (like the sumsung i780)
this way u can use the sensor u have 2 work with ppc apps(wm pro)
the sensor u have is like the ipaq 800 (data messenger) on hp rom (not vodaphone) they have such mouse meybe somone with ipaq ipaq data messenger can extract it from the rom (i had the vodaphone ver)

So what we have to do? Please GABBY help us

first,530=voicemessenger
second,what i made the rom,wm6.1andwm6.5 are also multilanguage,include 0409(US English)and 0804(chinese)
there's two way you can use it in english
first way is flash the rom,and forrow the steps:
when the rom bootup,you can go to start-setting-regional settings to change it to english
second way is to do quite easy cook by the rom:
extra the rom and edit the default.hv&user.hv
change the system language to english(SysLan=0409)
i was busy on cooking DataMessenger rom and Treo pro rom,so haven't so many times to help you do it.
if next month onbody did a wwe 6.5rom for yous.i will do it for you.
p.s.sorry erveryone,my english is very poor.......

the wm6.5 rom which i made was not really a 6.5 core
voicemessenger's xip part is so strange,if i cook it and flash,it will can't boot.
so the wm6.5 rom is only contain sys part update.
