Hallo. I write this post because all guide faqs and post search on internet don't work.
I want to add city on my htc dual touch, but i try a lot of settings, and all setting don't work. I have ROM (niki project v.2.1.3).
1: i have change the xml file with my location city; (OK)
2: when try to download information......don't work;
3: i try to replace htchome.dll with che same what search information on another server...don't work (now all cities don't work)
4: i have found a little guide, but when ask me to install cerfiticates i can't install.
Now, it's a lot of days that search on internet but don't found the really metod to add cities on my htc home, and now, afther change htchome.dll any cities don't are found...
There are a person can help me...please...

You can add only a few cities, there is a list (i am not sure where, if at accuweather or at htc), with the cities included. It's because an agreement between HTC and Accuweather.

can u tell me where your city is? let me try on my nike, if i could find it there, it means u should also can find it on your device
To find yout your city code just go to: http://www.accuweather.com/includes/ajax-functions/favoriteCities.asp?region=EUR&country=UK
Change the end of the link to your country (US users only need a 5-digit area code), PT=Portugal, UK=london, etc...
...OR, just click in http://www.accuweather.com , then in the international tab search for 'city, country', and it shows the code in the address link...
With resco exploer or whatever search for a file named H*.xml inside your windows folder.
Open it with notes and add your own city code.
Reset, choose the city on the HTC home plugin and your done.
Ok....but there are the same pass, that i try from one week.
for exsample.my city is:
Montecatini terme - Pistoia - ITALIA
Now on http://www.accuweather.com/ is:

Hence:

And edit, with notepad with file

in some post on internet i have found a guides. On these guides there are wrote that's necessary change HTCHome.dll beause the original search weather information in a wrong server ( for the new cities add ). it's all.
i you search on google "add cities on htc home" there are many post but are all wrong :-( :-(, and i cant understand what it's my problems.

As I said, if I'm wrong, please, let me know, cause I want to put another cities in my Niki, you can only see the weather of a certain cities, not all in accuweather, only the ones that are in a dedicated server htc.accuweather.com, i'm gonna search the list and if I find it i will post it.

Installation :
Download the zip file on your computer. unzip. put the .teme file on your Diamond into the folder "/Internal Storage/Themes. (if it doesn't exist yet, create it)
Intall the "wallpapers" folder anywhere as you want on your Diamond. Those themes must be installed with TF3D config . Follow the developer's instructions.
To install on of the wallpapers, go to "Settings" tab on the tf3d and choose "wallpaper". The wallpaper only appear one the "Home" main screen of the TF3D.
Can a version be made for the Diamond for HD manila?

Great post! Beautiful theme. Can you post just the tray icon files or even a .cab? your instructions are very simple I just don't use/need TF3D config. (I've encountered problems with it in the past). I'm running the stock rom with the old animated manila files over the top (could possibly be the cause of my problems but in a give and take between the two, i take animations). Thanks in advance
y on my touch diamond the weather page it display the temp as ...6 instead of 26?
i love this work, i hade the white 0.1 and thought that was fantastic. dont kno y but i quite like the white one to black but ill deffo check these new ones out straight away

There's one cab within the archive file you downloaded, which will restore the font back to original. All the info are in the readme file .
Just remove the "\windows\welcomehead.192.png"

Just remove the file "\windows\welcomehead.192.png". Or, create your own Welcome file. Do a google for keyword "welcomehead.192.png" and you should be able to find link to readme on how to create this file.
From my vague knowledge on the ROM image, the original "welcomehead.192.png" shall get reinstate once you remove the money box one follow by a soft reset.

Please wait - it's still in work to be english. Meanwhile you can have a look for the German Cab - and switch the jmlaction.ini to english

The 5.1 has already some multilang Add-Ons, so a switching is not very difficult.
It will be published with the new major release in MultiLang - with further functions.
OK - I made it meanwhile - you need only the german cab and the zip, I attached, to have the weather-forecast in English.

The German Cab installs on all resolutions - but the current themes are for vga and wvga - but you can edit the .plg-Files to make new Skins for qvga (so it's not limitted to Diamond). All Themes you can still find, works in 5.1.
Would be nice, if you would post it here - so it can integrated in the MultiLang major Release.

there is already a file called JMLAction.ini.english,i think that if you overwrite JMLAction.ini with this file,some things might change to english
EDIT: i tried to change the language and i want someone to tell me if something has changed to english
also copy the file i have attached for changing skins
no-thats the french names for weekdays and Dates-are you sure the installation is based on the german .cab of 5.1 ?
Is the weather forecast in english with the new jmlmeteo? (i was on way to disco and had only 10 min to look at the en-us-Feed and change the program)
but if the changes from xxmarkosxx works,then I can have a look to make a cab until the multilang release will come.
the changes won't work then anymore,but to make skins in the different resolutions-it would be very good.

Fine i'll try it with 5.0beta.
If u want the weather code for your city then go to weather.msn.com (as mentioned by Michel).
Then search for your city.
And then in the URL you'll get the code.
For eg:
h t t p ://meteo.msn.com/local.aspx?&wealocations=wc%3aINXX0164&q=Pune%2c+IND&setunit=C
This is for Pune,India...
And the weather code is "INXX0164" .
i don't know why but for some reason i can't update the weather.

yes you can update through active sync and wi-fi.
when you are on the weather tab, just click on it.... it will update.

Hey can you please put a screen shot of your JML??
Now we're running in a confusion - so much different files - I'm now at home and could take a look at the files above. The trick only with copy&paste doesn't work in JMLMeteo - the multilang is in preparation, like I said.
I better took a look at the original Framework (which I only had at home) - and switched it to english. Hope "Fahrenheit" is also better than "Celcius", too. Not all functions can be easily transfered in other languages - please be for this patient for the official release from JML.
I tried it - and on my German ROM it was in english then Also the weather forecast.
Please save your origin meteo icons - because I had the high resolutions in the framework. So you can change 'em like you want.
Please try it - then I can have a look for other resolutions - but at first it should run in English.
But - if it works - we would need the translations of the Texts in the jmlaction.ini in any other languages (it, sp, ...) for later updates.
Ok - let's try (uninstall/rename old JMLToday before - cab is multilang and installates in correct path - and of course please in Main Storage like every Titanium Plugin). Hope it works for you

1) how can i set the date long (dddd dd mm yy) in the today page? My Diamond 2 runs the original French rom, wm 6.5.
2) I ve found a lot of solutions on the Internet to add a town, but no one works, and most of the time i must hard reset the device. HTC Sense doesnt start again. Softs like Weather Database Editor for example make HTC Sense not working and doesnt even add the town i entered...
If someone knows the right way to do so, i would be grateful

I found this thread (particularly post 2) most helpful and got it working on WinMo 6.5 but it never worked on WinMo 6.1 for me

I confirm it works perfectly with both WM6.1 and WM6.5, just follow the instructions carefully..if you have any problem you can PM me, tell me the city you want to add and I'll make the manila file for you.
Thanks to both of you. I've already tried this method but it didnt work. As i said in my first post, each time i install "Weather Database Editor", it makes my HTC Sense unable to launch. I'll try one more time... but i almost sure i'll must hard-reset...

Advanced Config - Menu - More settings - TouchFLO 3D - Push "ok" for the error - Home page date format - ok - reset...

I made a .cab file so that you don't need to install Weather Database Editor anymore,by the way this may interest everyone..
ATTENTION:Since I have an italian ROM, the modified manila file I'm posting contains country names in italian, if that causes any problem or simply you don't like it, please post your manila file and I'll work on it. You can try the one I posted just for the fun of it but BACKUP your manila file first!

The easy way is to install the .cab I posted above and then manually add your cities using SQLLiteAdmin. If you have an italian ROM you can modify the manila file in previous post, you could edit the "Valence" line (if not interested in..) and any another city you're sure you're never go to .
I am being very brief because I assume you read the "official" instructions, if you have any problems,PM me
EDIT: Well, Since It's almost Xmas and I feel Santa Sualc, i modified the manila file for you, but remeber to install AddCityWeather.cab aswell!!(AGAIN: this file is certified to work in an italian ROM, if something goes wrong I will need you ORIGINAL manila file)
P.S: It's really stupid not to put those cities by default, ok they're not enormous cities like Tokio but they are regional Capitals in their respective countries..

Hi koen-ronse and thanks... but i dont find "TouchFLO 3D" in the settings. Are you talking about HTC Diamond 2?
He's not online at the moment, I think I can answer for him:
Advanced config is an application that you have to download and install (google for it), then follow his instructions

Hi everyone
I tried to download Samsung Widget through the Widget app that is located on the default widget bar of i8000, but when i click install it said something like "errors occur when applying/installing the widget".
Actually, I have flashed my rom once and it is now a non-English version WM6.5.
I8000HZUJC1(it's not a lite rom, it's an official rom but released by the service provider, they only added some apps related to their service)
I've searched for similar issues on the internet and seems that not many ppl are having this problem, so was wondering, does anyone here have any idea or solution for this?

Did you use File manager or File Explorer when installing widgets?
For me, I'm using i8000 too but I cant install widgets through File Manager, instead i used File Explorer and it works....
You can try it out and let me know whether it works.
