I have an 8525 running WM 6 and I finally got Warcraft 2 working after having to download different files and everything in my /Storage Card/Program Files getting erased.
The game works okay, but I was wondering how to enable the Multiplayer part of it.
Also the shortcut keys on the 8525 won't work with the game, and when I open the screen it disables me from being able to touch the screen. Thanks!

as stated you cant use wargus to connect to battleneck
you cant use wargus to connect to games with real warcraft2

Hi MG, an old thread, but mayb you'll remember. I've been trying to install warcraft 2 based on the stratagus port on my hermes, and this happens: it starts up, goes to menu screen, and does not respond to screen or buttons. its not hung, i can do a normal shutdown or sometimes even minimize w gesture (the assigned hard button wont minimize). I also let it wait for like half an hour, no change. Do you have any advice, is that something you had to fix with yours? Thanks

I dont normally play games on me mobile but things have changed since I got my SPV3100 and now my Ameo!

Ive managed to find a classic, wolfenstein 3d, its a complete port and it runs really well!

Managed to get doom working fine.
Heres where you need to go to download the program, it runs in Portrait at the moment but works smoothly nonetheless.

Joystick - Directional Control
Tap at the bottom half of the screen / Comm Manager Button - Fire
If you want to exit, click the X in the top right, then Press the camera button. Once in the main menu, move down to exit game and then press the camera button again.
You need to have the DOOM1.wad file (read the readme file that comes with the program from explainations)

SPB Air Islands (the game sucks, but it has some cool minigames and it's VGA!)

Favourites of mine, Sam 7 Max, Simon the Sourcerer, Day of the Tentacle
It works, but you have problems starting it up. Start with the pda in portrait mode, and fumble your way around to the options menu to get to graphics settings and turn on the 2x doubling. Once thats done it works fine from then on.
Megadrive Emulator
Managed to get PicoDrive working altho all the keys are messed up because of the screen orientation, it seems to get the joystick confused, and makes UP left and DOWN right for some reason, still looks good on the Ameo tho!

Gotta agree with you on Spb Brain Evo ..simply the nuts. I also like the 'Real Dice' ensemble of games like;

Real Dice Sudoku Master II......all are in high quality genuine VGA. They look and play really well.
Open Transport Tycoon Deluxe (2.0 beta) works perfectly (just remember to set the phone to portrait view before starting). Now with the "original" music sounds!

SIM Coupe (SAM Coupe emulator) works okay if you start in Portrait mode with only the "keyboard" menu being present as a glitch. (I thought I'd posted about Pocket Commodore Plus/4, too, which works but is PAINFULLY slow sometimes).
For bought games, Broken Sword (Astraware) demo looks very very promising indeed; it rotated the screen correctly and looks very pretty, and appears to be playing at the correct speed.

I am thinking of getting one of there phones as a friend has one.
I currently have a hermes and all is ok, the problem is that the athena is lacking in buttons on the front that are needed to play games, like "fire" in worms for example.
none of the keyboard buttons seem to work.
Is there a way round this?

I have the same trouble, Worms in X7500 only admit two buttons and the game requires three buttons to work correctly.
Can someboy modify the wwpsave.dat as somebody did for the HTC Touch to make the x7500 buttons workable for this game???

Hey I downloaded 2 different emulators and I have no idea how to install them. I tried with Active Sync, I tried straight from the card. Nothing's working for me. Anybody got a sticky on what to do with the emulators and roms?

do any of you have trouble playing either of the nes emulators youve gotten i got them to play just can never touch the screen or it becomes almost unresponsive pocket nester you install from pc and pocket nester plus launch straight from file explorer those are by far the best emulators I have came across just have problems with this phone

i uninstalled it for the same reasons. i think it has a problem with the samsung cpu that is in the hermes. from what i hear, it works great on the wizards. if anyone figures out the problems please post it.

me too.. i want to find out if its possible to play on landscape mode.
I've tried several different ways and landscape does not work. The video quality goes up significantly if you turn the volume off (in the app, not on the device). Some of the buttons cannot work for the controller (like the phone button). Otherwise it works perfectly and if you're playing, hit 'save state' under 'file' and you can restart from that second.

i'm currently playing broken sword1 via diamond... really nice to play.
another good thing,the savegames on my diamond work on the winxp-version of scummvm too...
first time i started scummvm the screen was very small, but after i changed to fullscreen and configured the settings for bs1, this problem was gone...
maybe you could try another rom if that's the problem?!

Doesnt change for me, whatever ROM I use. Never uses full screen.
What version of ScummVM are you using?
You have to set x2 screensize somewhere in options.

I am using 0.11.1 and it works flawlessly. Make sure you select AdvMAME2x as graphics mode and tick fullscreen mode.

What kind of error? ScummVM simply exit without error messager? If it´s the case, your problem is the path of the games. Configure it again (maybe you have copied ScummVM from another PDA to Diamond; remember that Diamond hasn´t "Storage Card" path)

I ran Monkey Island 2 and was asked for the copy protection wheel, I thought I was going to have to go digging around under the stairs for my actual copy. Ah, 5.25 inch disks, those were the days.
Worst case install vic's mToday.cab (attached) and switch on the fly today screens.
I can't get scummvm to work fine on blackstone, the pointer doesn't match the point you pressed on the screen

Hey, I found a link here on xda to a youtube video showing a game(Art of Fighting), and I wanna know if it really just a ROM emulator is, or is it game you install on your phone?
The user is 520darky on youtube, and he's got a few other games aswell.
If someone can reply to my question, can they please tell me where to get the games, either emulated ROM or Cab files.

actually, for running art of fighting the emulator you need is Final Burn, it runs neo-geo games, CPS1 and CPS2, you can find roms in here http://romhustler.net. All games I've tried run pretty smooth ( super street fighter 2 turbo, marvel Vs. Capcom, art of fighting, street fighter alpha 2, etc )

i can assign 3 of the dpad keys but one always goes to home
also the on screen buttons, do not work as the game automatically pauses and goes into portrait mode
is there any easy was of disabling this so i can use finalburn, as graphics are quality

Yeah it works great for me, go into options and make sure enable screen keypad is ticked and use mode 1 (fire buttons) - then when you start a game pause it and go to Options-Keys- and re=map the buttons....i've got my back button (0x5C) mapped to coin and the centre button as start (0x8E) and everything works fine.
im using finalburn and havent managed to get either of super street fighter 2 turbo, marvel Vs. Capcom, art of fighting, street fighter alpha 2 to work - managed to get cps1 roms to work but not neogeo. iv got the neogeo.zip (bios) in the roms directory but still no luck. maybe im using an incompatible rom.
can anyone email me or pm me a link to a working rom?

I've got a copy of v1.20 of quake mobile. (mobilequakebg.ppc2003_ARM.cab)
It installs just fine but I get an error trying to run it that says i'm missing a file. So it's either a cracked copy or I don't have the right driver, and I'm either to new or just not typing the right thing into any search.
Any help would be appreciated. I'm coming from blackberry and android, my last winmo phone was an excalibur when I swore it off but I'm back now that I've got a TP2.

fraid i cannot help aside from giving my own experances. Their is a file you need to download in addition, the maps i think, but no clue where to pull them from. I will say this tho, Quake doesnt work on the TP2. For one, its not made for the resolution, which might be the cause of the game not displaying.. All i get are the arrow keys on the screen and the sounds..but nothing else visually. I dont think it works.
