iBaby lets you monitor the sound level in a room and to make a call to a preset phone number when the program hears noise above that level. You pick up the phone, listen and then hang up. At the end of the call, iBaby recommences listening.
It can be used, for example, in a room where Baby is sleeping, while you work on your tan in the backyard or chat with your neighbours.
The user (or users) must set the number to call, the noise leve, the percent rise in noise level that will prompt a call to the number, and the number of 'analyses' that will be used to calibrate the ambiant noise level.
At startup, iBaby calibrates the ambient noise level, then enters 'recording' mode (checking the noise level every 5 seconds). The default settings are quite sensitive and I had to fiddle for a while to find a level that didn't trigger a call every time a car drove by on the street.
The battery is drained fairly quickly and iBaby calls you when it drops below 15%.
Don't forget to deactivate the ringer and vibration on the PDAPhone, because if someone calls, Baby will be woken up!
This program, which is an innovative use of your Pocket PC Phone Edition device, exists in both French and English. Try it if you have an very young child.

Hi,
Sound is bad because of the awfull design. The (mono)speaker is at the back of the device, hence low quality.

That's innovative bro.. Sure that'll work.. coz it's not the speaker that is soft but the design, so if you place the handset face up, the speaker was covered by the surface.
Alternatively you would want to consider to place your phone on the opposite direction, face-down.. that won't obstruct the speaker..
It's just the design, not the speaker...

Hi,
I don't actually understand this picture or how its done but I know one thing, I wana learn whatever it takes if possible to enhance the sound of this pda. Its driving me crazy. there is usually a lot of noise around me and if I place the pda on its back as usual its impossible to hear it ring and that should be one of the most basic features of any phone. I just bought it and I'd like to solve this issue if I could before I purchase another one for this reason.
could someone please explain how to do a modification using this thing called velcro and how is this modification increasing the sound volume?
thanks
analyzer.x, the reason the 614 sound is so low is beacuse when the ipaq is on its back, the speaker is covered.
But if you raise the ipaq by a little bit the soud can come out.
So you stick some velcro (or a piece of rubber, anything really) to the back of the ipaq so when you put the phone on its back it is slightly raised up.
This allows the sound to escape.
btw velcro is the stuff that you find on kids shoes instead of shoe laces. Or in camera bags to hold the dividers
Thank you for clarifying that.

Here's the zip file with the voice saying the Hours from 10am to 12 am in english.
But the program still doesnt work I don't know if I'm doing something wrong.
Hi has anyone managed to fix this app yet?
Hi,
I just used a text to speech engine to create these files it's a British female voice.
Regards,
AJ
We still need someone to fix the app so it could actually work lol
This app works only when phone power on, and all settings always back to default after exit.
installation?
This extracts as an app and not as a cab or a an exe. Do I just copy this across and it will run? Is it operations on 6.1?
Gents,
Here is a little thing bothering me.
I use a BT headset most of the time, keeping the phone in a pocket/backpack while playing music.
The thing is that when receiving a call and answering it using the BT Headset buttons, the phone still wakes up and unlocks itself. Meaning that the device is now accessible by the touch panel but in my pocket/backpack thus messing with it.
Is there way to prevent that ?
So when answering to a call from a BT headset the device remains locked.
Thanks for any help on that.
David.
Anybody with that same problem ?
David on HD2
Hi there David,
I have had the same issue with my HTC HD2 for the past 6 months since I bought the phone and have not seen anyone come up with a resolution for this!
Even the Iphone handles this simple problem better.
I cannot understand how they can release a fantastic phone like the HTC HD2 that can just about replace a computer but can not do the simple job of not unlocking the handset when controlled with a bluetooth device.
I can only hope that there is a programmer out there that could tweek the registry to solve out problem.
Thanks Ace
Exactly. I feel the same way too. But just have to live with it I guess, just leave it and wait for the auto lock to kick in again
So I guess it is a wellknow problem with no solution or work around... at least we know.
Not pleasant to live with... having to stop on the side of the road because a call kick in while riding in the hot tropical summer.
David BT HD2 ironhorsing in Taiwan.
there is a solution, it's called s2u2. It has settings to set it to lock on call when using BT.
http://www.ac-s2.com/
you want the wvga version.
Finaly hope arise... I am trying it right away.
Thank you very much for that.
Confirmed! It works!
Thank you very much nrfitchett4 .
And it gives some more life to the standby/locked screen.
Although one might want to change the default wallpapers...
The only little inconvenience of this app is that you have to re-start it after a soft reset. But it is worth it.

what do you mean?
You shouldn't have to restart it after reset, just lock your phone. You can set it to lock on screen off, or screen on, or manually.
nrfitchett4 you are right... my bad... Sorry for the misunderstanding.
The app is still working after a reset.

very good. Seems to be the only lockscreen that doesn't cause occ. lockups on energy roms.
Cant confirm that.
I use the original ROM from HTC that came with the device.
I only got about 5hrs barely using my device while at the rockets game last night. I noticed my screen was on 100% at times before and not sleeping. According to the reports.
So when I got home I opened my Battery History app [free from market] and found the root of the evil. Even tho I had Weatherbug not updating or any alerts, it still caused my fone never to sleep.
Uninstalled weather bug and my problems are over

That's actually very helpful.
if the screen is off, does that necessarily mean it's sleeping ?
(asking seriously, not snarky)
AND.. thanks for pointing out the additional functionality, functionality (anyone see short circuit ?? LOL)
I'm gonna wait a few hours and peek at mine and see what the culprit is
EDIT: this can also be found in Spare Parts for those that don't have that app yet.
Thanks a lot, that you found it useful. My mission is complete lol.
Correct, under normal conditons having the screen off puts the fone onto sleep mode. Kind of like a soft suspend.
But having a bugger of a program can keep your phone awake, with the screen off.
And you are right, those settings arein spare parts, which most of us have. As this function was ripped out

OK so biking to work today noticed a few different bugs I had not noticed so far, coming from iPhone I had never experienced these problems with Apple.
My bluetooth simply will not auto connect to my garmin 510, I have to go into both devices and "forget" paired devices and reconnect a fresh, every time I turn either device off/on.
Headphones crackling at high volume (which isn't really that high to be fair) can't be the headphones as there very high spec. Atomic Floyd HiDefDrum
Just tried to compose an email (original email client) and as I write the email the cursor moves by itself back into the middle of the line im writing making it impossible to write a full line??? WTF?
TBF, at the beginning of this note I seem to compare to Apple, but thinking about it these are basics that should work on any device, I have been perfectly happy with the S4 up until now.... But the 3 jobs I wanted it to do properly today, it's failed at....... miserably!!
OK, So I've managed to write my email. Had to switch to original samsung keyboard (from swiftkey)
Can anybody replicate this error using original email app/swiftkey

I think I've read one or two complaints about the cursor issue. You can just install another keyboard from the Play Store. Thats the joy of android..
About the crackling, there's a whole thread on that topic. It seems that the S4, majorly the qualcomm LTE version I think, has crackling issues when you use headphones with a resistance lower than 14-16 ohms, so you're out of luck as of now until that issue is sorted by Samsung. You can find more info here, just search for it next time:

Is very comfortable, you can carry in a pocket. When you see bugs just spray all over it with this magnificent product.
(But remember, this is not for internal use)
