if'd kindly help me ... i'll be gratful , thank you ..
hajali
is there any program ... similar to old pocket word or similar to onenote ... in other words it has the stylus writing or drawing function and taking pictures ???
thanks
Evernote is a good replacement for writing and such.
I use that sometimes along with pocket informant which allows mixed typing and writing notes.
The built-in Notes app allows ink and text. I don't know how it handles images tho.
I like Pocket Informant too for writing notes.

i came to the XDA Exec as a long-term Palm OS user... it's been more of a learning curve than i was expecting, but the one application that i still miss the most (and that sometimes makes me wish i hadn't sold my Clie UX50!) is NoteStudio (http://dogmelon.com.au/NoteStudio.shtml)
without wanting this to sound like an advertisement (i dont work for them - honest!) i never realised how much i relied on it until i made the switch to windows.
for those who don't know of it - it is a note-taking app that works like a personal wiki. you get all the benefits of a wikipedia-type approach (simple syntax, links between pages, HTML pages that can be viewed/printed/etc. in other apps etc.) in a personal note-taking app that can be viewed and edited on both your Palm and Windows PC.
for those who have seen it - can anyone suggest a WM equivalent?
i've relying on just using NoteStudio as a stand-alone PC app, and miss having my notes with me at all times - it's almost enough to make me wanna buy a Palm for note-taking only and carrying it around with my Exec!
sorry.... blatant attempt to get this higher up the list a bit
does anyone use anything other than the Notes bit of stuff like Pocket Outlook or Pocket Informant to take Notes?
Hello,
Last night I had an idea .. and maybe it's interesting to share it but ... maybe software like that already exist ?!
I had the idea of an interface on a ppc to command a Powerpoint presentation. It's must be touch friendly (I've the HTC touch ).
What does that mean ?
1) The PPC will control over BT some emulation like Left arrow or Right arrow and other "shortcuts"
2) The PPC will have an interface with huge buttons to change slides
3) The PPC will have a clock timer or a timeup counter
4) The PPC will vibrate after times that users can define (like each 5 minutes)
The only thing missing for me is a laser
Maybe it already exists ... I Don't know but I think it could be good now that PPC like Touch are small !
(My ideas comes from a telecommande from Logitech and from the ability for SE phone to pilot a computer).
What do you think about it ?
Take a look at Salling Clicker 3.5. It can do most of what your are dreaming of
The vibrate after after some timeout doesn't exist yet in Salling Clicker, but you can request it on their forum. The scripting used in Salling Clicker is very easy, so you can change things and create new things as you like.
Besides controlling PowerPoint, it can also be used for MediaPlayer and iTunes etc + some special functions for incoming calls or locking/unlocking when you are away/near your computer.
It can be used over Bluetooth or over Wifi.
Thank you VOODOOS!L's ! The program that you suggest is ... how can I say it ... perfect !
It was what i was looking for ... it's awesome
I'll use it for my next presentation ... I'm pretty sure that my teacher will say that I'm cheating héhé !
I note that the office supplied on my old hp hx4700 running WM2003SE has features which have been lost in newer releases.
Word 2003 SE made a very good quick notes tool; I could handwright, draw and draw in different colours. Files saved as word mobile files could be opened on ANY pc in word. This is a huge advantage over windows mobile notes which are confined to the PPC environment.
I realise many other notes programs are available to purchase, but I liked the old word features and can't understand why microsoft dropped them.
How difficult (if at all possible) would it be to package this old word program from my hx4700 in WM2003SE and create a CAB for my 'newer' HTC ATHENA WM6.0?
Any help would be apprechiated. Thankyou.
I'd like this as well
Hi,
I searched the forum for an answer but couldnt find it, so Im sorry if this is a double post.
Right, Im pretty dissapointed with powerpoint mobile as it is not able to edit or create powerpoints. Even my old N95 could do that, so I defenatly expected the xperia as its a windows phone to be able to do that. So is there any other 3rd party program that is able to edit powerpoints?
Cheers
Yes. Look at www.softmaker.com. They make an office suite that runs on WM devices (as well as Linux and Windows) that imports and exports Microsoft Office files, including Powerpoint, very well. I've only played around briefly with their Powerpoint replacement (and only on Windows, not WM), but I've used their word processor on my PDAs and phones for years and been very satisfied. Highly recommended.
wow looks great. Will try it and report how well it works on the xperia.
Cheers
Works great. Thx
you would think that the standard office mobile would have features like this. looks like a nice program though.

The default Calendar doesn't work for me because input is too complex and don't need the notes too appear in the homescreen..

Try Office One Note
One Note Mobile will hot sync with One Note Desktop software. So you can quickly capture thoughts on the go.
The desktop software is very good for organizing and searching your notes.
The mobile version is free on your phone. Microsoft has great deals for Student Editions, you may be able to get the desktop software for next to nothing.
Highly recommend it. I use it every day.
Try notes. You can hand write information in that.
