I've searched and searched and if it's posted somewhere on how to do this my bad. I want to get the battery meter out of the top title bar. There must be a hack out there for it. I can change it from Clock to Battery but I just want it gone. Don't rip into me too bad....
EDIT: Found it after Googling for a while...
i think you have to keep one or the other, try the advanced config tool
Why don't you post the link ?!?!
click on search and type advanced config tool

I found a reg tweak to get a simple battery icon in my tray. Worked just fine. I did a hard reset and can't find the tweak now. I've searched for the past 30 minutes and found a bunch of crap related to 3rd party apps and the time and date in the tray. I found:
HKLM\Services\Power\ShowIcon
and set that to 1 and did a soft reset and it didn't work. So, how the hell do I get the icon to show up? Right now, I have 2 icons for connection (E for EDGE and signal strength), volume, and the time, and I want all those, plus the battery icon. Thanks
I think you're confusing the tray (on the BOTTOM of the Today screen) with the Task Bar.
Edit: Changed "Title Bar" to "Task Bar" to be consistent with what the OS calls it.
Yeah, title bar's what I meant. Still can't get that damn icon to show
Hi,
I can't help you, but I'm interested in the tweak you made first. Could you tell me how you got your battery icon to the title bar?
Thanks.

I don't think he will be able to tell you that because its not working for him. The whole reason he posted was that the battery icon was not displaying in the title bar.

I think it worked...
Use the WM VI Batti program. One of it's functions gives you a simple battery icon in the title bar. You can view the thread HERE.
Or to make your life a little easier, you can download the .cab file HERE.
Great program, I absolutely love it.
In the Task Bar
Ok, so how do you remove the battery icon from the task bar? Somehow something I installed or changed put it there but I have no idea how to undo it since it's never shown up or done that before.

Haven't figured that one out yet. I never liked the system tray on the bottom, so I removed it altogether with a simple reg tweak. Navigate to...
HKLM\init\
There you will find several keys, but the one you want is Launch92. This contains the location of where Windows will look for the tray app. I just modified the registry from "TrayAp.Exe" to "oldTrayAp.exe" Prevents the app from starting up altogether. You can then use BatteryStatus to create its own system tray and from there, you can add all your own icons (including a battery icon). I believe the battery program is powerexe.exe in the Windows directory.
battery icon
Try this:
Find the following:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell
Search for the key ShowTitleBarClock and change the value to 0.
If the ShowTitleBarClock does not exist, create a new DWORD and put value (in decimal) as 0.
Hope it works for you as it did for me.
small bat meter
Try this small battery meter:

Is there a simple way to add a "wifi" icon to the middle of the title bar on the default Now screen? I want to try and get one that is greyed out when wifi is not on, and the normal black and white when it is on.
I use wifi a lot and try to keep it off on my tilt when not using it since its a HUGE battery drain.
I can create the icons and do the work, just need a little pointing in the right direction.
Thanks in advance.

Side bar: Yes, I searched, and I posted in the SPB thread, but it got overlooked and is pages old now. This could help several people that need a single icon added.. FWIW
any ideas?

Apparently you didnt even read my whole thread.. You might read before you start lecturing oh "senior member"..
It is not possible to add one that shows status. However if you look at mtkates new mobile 7 theme or the HELU theme they offer an alternative and show how to do it in those threads.

THanks for the help.. Let this thread die.
i gave you the correct answer and explained you why not open such threads. so whats your problem ? this has nothing to do with senior or not, its a question of sense and overview.
the helu skin has icon possibility to go directly to a commanager.
Check out, Gagaza's modification zip in
GB's thread V2, and my start button setup for an idea.. Enjoy!
As the pic shows, my background(lovely car huh) gets shifted in the start menu with theese "last used programs"-icons. I have no idea how I put them there, and no idea how to remove them
I've looked through the settings but must have missed, or do you need to modify the registry? This might be a topic for the subforum general discussion.
It's a htc diamond with advanced cfg tool 3.2 installed
thanks
you remove them in settings/today/Items
No I meant the Icons on top of the start menu, for search, notes, contacts etc. just above "Idag".
A side question, how did you manage to put the picture in the start menu? Mine is always black.....

I think this will remedy your situation.
Go to Settings -> System -> TouchFlo and untick the middle box that activates large text/Startmenu.
Thanks CadCruizer it did the trick!

Sorry, but I dont know that one either
hi all, when i first got my diamond im sure i seen an option to disable the battery status icon in the taskbar? it may have just been my imagination or i was dreaming as i cant find the option, am i not looking hard enough or am i going mad? thanx loads
it's okay you are indeed going mad.
cannae help ye if ye don't give a few details.
If it's a basic ROM without any additional proggies then it's best to look for a cab tweak file thal'll do ze jobbi.
But if you have added a few tweak proggies, like DiamondTweak of Schapp's Advanced Config, then you'll be able to find a few tweaks that deal with the battery icon. QuickMenu also has a battery icon tweak. Get's a bit feckree if you have more than one config tool installed (like me, I have all 3 listed) but have no fear that wee b'stard will be removed !

thanx for the info, im using the latest stock rom, i'll try Schapp's config.
Schaps Advanced Config did it for me, first option under Today (well only option under today) lets you choose between battery or clock. Not sure how to remove both but I'm happy with clock so I don't have to go to home tab to check the time when I'm flicking through messages etc. Thanks
Ok, I have a few questions that should have easy solutions that I just can't find... probably because what I'm looking for is pretty specific. Hopefully I can get answers to at least a few of them. I will start out by saying that I am currently running the Energy Reference ROM on a Touch Pro 2 (with plenty of RAM I might add). As I find solutions, I will post them below under the "Resolved" section, just in case someone else needs help as well.
Questions:
----- How do you change the color/skin of the stock dialer? The only one that I found searching was the "dusk" dialer... I'm looking for something that I can change the color of some of the buttons (to blue or something)... someone has to have a CAB with a bunch of different colors???
Resolved:
----- First... how do you change the panel backgrounds in SPB Mobile Shell 3.5.5? I'm not looking to add widgets... not looking to change the background of the Today screen (already have done that)... I'm looking to change the background of the panels ONLY. Without changing the layout of anything. Just the panels. I have tried a few programs/skins (Vostradamus, etc.)... and I just can't figure out how to do this simple thing with them. So I'm hoping there's an easier way (registry edit, setting that I'm just not seeing, etc.).
Fix: ----- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4766529&postcount=730 (make SURE to use WinZip, NOT WinRar or anything else)
----- Second, for some reason, I can't see the settings of "Smartlock" in the SPB settings view (as in, if I go through SPB Mobile to get to "Settings", Smartlock isn't there). However, Smartlock is visible when I switch over to the "stock" Start Menu. So is there any way for Smartlock to appear in the SPB Mobile "Settings" tab? It's pretty weird that it isn't there (ALL of the other programs/settings functions show up, but not Smartlock).
Fix: ----- This fixed itself after a clean reinstall of SPB Mobile Shell 3.5.5.
----- Is it possible to keep all the "stock" icons up on top of the screen and add the clock display?
(I currently have the "data" icon, "signal strength" icon, "phone volume" icon, and "battery" icon... with room for the "X"/"OK" icon when a program is running)
I am looking to keep all of those icons while adding the clock display. Don't know if it's possible, but I thought I would ask.
IF it is possible to put the clock up there, would this be compatible with "Brian's Taskbar" to make the icons colorful? I don't have it on there yet, but I'm just wondering for future reference.
Fix: ----- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=612083 (Battclock program... I'm still trying to figure out how to perfect it though). Doesn't appear to be very compatible if you have multiple backgrounds/different screens... but it'll work on at least one of the screens.
----- In the "stock" contacts, there are a few different "filters" (viewed via the menu button). To avoid duplication, I would like to have it always set to "Device Conacts", rather than "All Contacts" ("All Contacts contains SIM and device... which results in duplication). You can change it temporarily but selecting "Device Contacts", but when you re-enter it, it automatically switches back. If anyone knows of a way to permanently/by default choose "Device Contacts", that would be what I'm looking for.
Fix: ----- Registry edit... HKCU/Control Panel/Phone/ShowSim (change from 1 to 0, and they will be gone).
I can help with "third"... look at battclock. It is completely customizable and completely great. Alternatively, there is an option in the settings to display just a clock instead of battery meter in the task bar.
For the "first", try this post from the tips and tricks thread (may need to back out and read some surrounding posts to get a better idea)

Thanks for the suggestions.
I'm looking into the Battclock program, so I will update when I figure that out.
Thanks for showing me that thread for the "first" issue... that led me to the link that I posted in my first post, which is for 3.5.5 (I'm sure they're both the same... but the link I posted makes it pretty easy to understand I think).
Still looking for a solution for the color of the dialer/dialpad. I think I'm just going to have to either delete all of the SIM contacts and same them on my computer (to upload later when I switch phones or whatever).
