What phone and dialer you use?
You use kitchen? You use pre-built ROM?
Explain what you use, and maybe someone will help.
I don't think so...
I am afraid the answer to your question is no. Unfortunately the dialpad programs out there do not render transparent buttons to support changing the background behind them.
There are a few options though. I, for one, have generated custom dialpad screens for the dialer I use. (HTC Dialer) This is done by simply regenerating the images the dialer uses. I know others have done similar things.
You can see mine in this thread. If this dailer looks like something you could use I would be glad to generate a theme for you. At least one that looks the those in the link but with your backgrounds.
I found this at ppcgeeks it works for my 8525 as long as you have htc dialpad

just like the title says, i'm looking for a skin for just the phone application, specifically something dark grey/black and with bigger buttons (for dialing with my finger). Anyone know of anything?
First you might check out Anyone knows this dialer skin/program . My favorite is SmartDial + Eten dialskin
I realize that these probably aren't exactly what you requested but they're all I'm aware of. The Dr.Shultz work on the last pages is my personal favorite.
Hope I was of some help. (I SO enjoy the Dr.Shultz blue buttons!)

I'm wondering if there is any way for my Today background to change depending on the screen layout. I have 2 pictures I'd like to use one suited best for a portrait and the other a landscape. Any help would be appreciated, I've searched the forums and could not find an answer.
Any ideas?

You would have to create a custom Home Screen Theme.
Attach the images and I'll see what I can do with them.
ThemeGenCE is a decent theme creator. You can use it to create a theme with different backgrounds for portrait and landscape. I saw a walkthrough of that particular program on PPCGeeks awhile ago. Written by (V)eGa:

I didn't know exactly how you wanted it made, but this is just my interpretation of how it would look.
The TSK file you need to copy to your phone in order for the theme to work is inside the zip file.
Hey!
I have a small problem.
My touch dual is locked to TMN, a portuguese cell network.
They modify the pda's rom.
So, the today screen, even if i change the backgroud wallpaper our the theme, always stay green. But only that part that I highlighted in red (image attached).
Is there a way to make this "square" transparent?
Registry... images... whatever!
Thanks!

Hey try to install the Touch-it Blue Home.cab file in this link:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=387052
it replaces only the graphics files, and you can easely uninstall it again. it's 100% transparent
Hey, thanks!!
I'll give it a try!
cumps
It worked just like I wanted to! Thanks!
Just another question: is there some kind of image files or cab that replaces only the color of the pre-installed cube? Because it´s also in that anoying green...
thanks!
Anyone?
Hello,
I am trying to make my first theme, and need some help
I am trying to base it off these two screenshots:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I have got the main page done pretty well, but not the top bar. Can anyone help me with the icons? Also, is there a font that would look more like the one in the screenshot?
On the second page, I am just stuck... I was thinking about making each little icon in a dock, and selecting it would make it open the dock_selected, with the selected icon in it, and then making all the rest smaller (that is sort of what I did for the main page).
Thanks!
Font looks like Arial, but I suggest Segoe. Icons should be easy to do.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=421944 , u may find that helpful
Is there a way to use Segoe font in WAD2? That isn't an option.
(I'm using WAD2 because it seems to be the easiest to make a complete "shell" in, and to customize)
And I'm AWFUL at making icons. I have no idea what I am doing with them
I want to change ROM,but I want to keep my current phone dialer (which came with BsB 6.5E ROM).Does anybody knows how to keep a backup of my phone dialer?(I mean which files should I copy?)
Thanks in advance
How does it look like? It can be the plain wm dialpad or the diamond-skin
it looks like that

The top picture is the standard win mob dialer with a black theme, just find the theme every rom has that dialer, the lock screen dialer will change depending on the wallpaper u use on ur todayscreen
i don't care of the wallpaper.I just want to keep a back up of that style
just search for windows dialer theme..and if it has been created by BSB...request him for it..
