I am totally new to all these ROM modifications.
I have just bought a SE HBH 970 and I have the O2 Exec.
I just realised that I am not able to stream music to my BT set on the current O2 ROM.
Went through the website and found that there is actually a way to enable A2DP on exec. Can someone very kindly explain to me how this can be done step by step?
I am quite lost. ... after searching thru web. ....
What do I need to download...
how do i do that etc etc.........

Weird, I thought these ROMs were indeed A2DP-compliant...
Have you tried, once you've paired the HBH, to manually set the stereo profile for your hbh in the Bluetooth management applet ?
By long-tapping on the Sony Ericsson HBH 970 item in the Bluetooth device list, a menu pops up and there should be something that looks like "Stereo headset" or something like that.
do a search for a 'zoki a2dp' cab file, install it and youll have a2dp on your exec
The latest O2 ROM does not contain A2DP, shame to you, O2. What you can try is, flash your ROM with other provider like Qtek, i-mate and etc that are already enable A2DP on their ROM.
Alternative solution is to download Zoki A2DP, may help but I don't know about the result ( as I never try it before )
One experience though, I flashed my O2 exec with Qtek latest ROM, it does pick up the stereo Bluetooth Headset but I've got huge lag when playing music. Sometimes I managed to get it through but most of the time, it does not happily play my music. even I already applied A2DP patch, tried with several ROMs , disable all wireless signals, still got the same result.
Maybe it is just my case, Give it a try, good experience anyways

someone know if the new Tytn rom (RUU_Hermes_2.05.263.1_6275_1.34.00.10_108_SVE_HTCEUR) resolve per SAP (sim access profile) problems in tytn ?
The problem was that sap profile does not work in many car bluetooth systems as mercedes, bmw, audi etc.
please if anyone has tried rhis could thay please post their results.

I've flashed my TyTN with the new ROM (only OS and Ext. not Radio) but I still can't pair my TyTN with my Mercedes-Car-Kit... perhaps it will work if you flash the full rom incl. radio, but I wont try that, because I want to flash the GPS-Enabled rom in future...

thankyou -looks like is up to Mercedes to fix this problem
I know someone has a Blue Angle working with the Mercedes Car Kit... so I belive there is a way... perhpas flashing the full AKU3.3.-ROM will help, but I can't test it at the moement.
Perhaps Hemli_C can help... he has build the fix for the blue angel

Morning all,
after being a member of the site for a while and eventually writing my first post for a little assistance!
I recently got another M3100 to replace my damaged M3100 (which I had at a perfect state!!), and I have am having some problems with getting the Bluetooth to work (using Comm Manager).
As soon as I got it I upgraded to Black Pro v3.01, and noticed the BT did not turn on, I thought it was probably down to the fact that my radio firmware was rather old!
So I have tried upgrading the Radio to v1.41 and putting LMSW WM6 Rom on the device, again still no luck in turning on BT.
Now I have stepped back down to the official Orange ROM (04/07 from their website). The Device info follows:
Operator Ver: 14.211.1.611
ROM Ver: 2.11.61.1
Radio: 1.38.00.01
I am still unable to turn on bluetooth with this ROM!!
Is there anything I could try to resurrect the Bluetooth? Everything else works fine (Phone / Wifi). I am unable to use my car kit without this!

Which WM5 roms are useful? -> Recently I found a ROM with the name: HTC_1.12.405.01_026790_WWE_SHIP.rar
Is this a WM Rom I can use for downgrading my device [P3300]?
And which procedure do I follow when trying to downgrade to WM5 ?

dear fred sorry was off for while i rolled back to wm5 but soon after this i decided i will recall wm6 back gain
i suggest u try wm6 for a while & soon you will see a big difference don't rush and get back to 5 yet a brother advice
i wasted my time to look for different roms bu the wm6 touch 3.01 in the forum is the best u will absolutely love it - just give it time mate
wm5 is no better than wm6 - in fact now i see lots of benefits of having 6 in my phone

Hi, THX for your concerns , but I defenitely want to rollback to WM5, because I have a problem with bluetooth connection in he car[kit]. With WM5 it did work properly and since upgrading to WM6 it won't work!!
I've tried to 'downgrade' but the Artemis doen't want to go back to WM5. I've used USPL and then I tried to rollback, but everytime I try it won't go on.
Can anyone help me -> or what do I do wrong ??

its a bit weird that u r having bluetooth problems with wm6!! anyway the bluetooth and other wireless connections are something to do with the Radio ROM as i understand so you may benefit from changing ur radio rom!! it should be a quicker solution to implement i dont know if this will work but it worth a try
second when you try to rollback to wm5 are u using official rom - cuz it should be an official rom u rollback to - u can find official wm5 on the wiki xda developers

one more thought before you do anything else did u reset ur carkit bluetooth before using it back again with ur wm6 cuz ur phone has a new BT address now
try resetting bluetooth in both and re-pair them

Tried you're advices, but don't work on my carkit. Earlier I tried to rollbak but that didn't work with the rom I have downloaded [HTC_P3300_1.12.405.101_WWE_ExtROM]. I've a Dutch P3300, which was upgraded to WM6.
I used USPL to prepare it for any ROM, but it won't go on.
Do you have any other advices or ideas? THX

Three more suggestion to be tried:
1- change ur RADIO rom only to the latest

2-change ur rom to another WM6 i think the problem with your rom not with the OS - try an official rom or artemis touch 3.01 i recommend the second

Trial and [t]Error
Hi Jahrami, THX again. I'd already installed Radio 03.07.90, before I tried again in the car. But this doesn't work either. The carkit sees my P3300 and I can answer calls [as long as I answer via the knobs on my P3300!]. The speaking is then working via my carkit [at least].
But it doesn't work via the carkit-knobs ánd I can't phone out -> not via the
P3300 as well as the carkit !!!
Last thing I 'll try now is the Artemis Touch software and if this doesn't work I won't know what to do then?
Anyway I'll keep searching and trying!

THX for your help this far. But,...although I very much like the new looks of my Artemis now [with the Touch interface] -> My carkit won't respond well to it. Still got the same problem with Bluetooth, but much sleekier looks on my PDA now!!!
I'll keep on looking -> I'm now trying to find a way via the carkit radio [upgrading the kit probably?].

Would it be possible to downgrade just the radio rom? not upgrade. I believe the issue is that wm5 used bluetooth 1.2 and on wm6 it uses 2.0. Would a downgraded radio rom help?
On Wm5 what kind of profile did your car kit have? was it headset or or handsfree? I have noticed that WM6 only has handfree. This may have something to do with it.;l

I am having a lot of problems with the new wm 6, the previous software tomtom and igo8 are not working any more, both say that the GPS device is missing. Did you find a valid WM5 ?

Hi every body,
I have a problem. When I use my phone I must put Speakerphone on to have sound otherwise I hear nothing.
I had a SFR ROM installed. I unlocked with
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Trinity/Tools_and_Programs/HTC_Trinity_SIM_CID_Unlock_v1.zip
and the sound was still working.
I tried a WM5 ROM and the problem began !!
Now I have installed the radio 1.50 and WM6 4.03 ROMs from http://colrou.free.fr/ and I still have the same problem.
