For german ROM, I think you can get 4.00.33 from Stefan kitchen

Good luck ...
Hello,
i am also interested in upgrading my 64Mb XDA I to 2003 Version.
Nalye: How does the Upgrade worked? Do you have any problem in using or installing? Do you have any problems using the upgraded device with german O2? How about the Home-Zone Display and whole stability?
Thanks in advance!
Miwu
a cellphone company depend on the radiostack they dont know if you connect from a nokia phone or a xda with what ever rom
as long as you set it up right
@rudegar
Thanks for answering. German o2 uses a special application with the XDA, called "Home Zone Status", whats implemented in the original ROM provided by O2. With this application you get a special sign at the top of the screen if your device is in an defined area called HomeZone. The data used by this application must be provided by the gsm-part of the device, but i think, that the T-Mobile-Rom does not support the transfer of this informations because german T-Mobile does not provide this feature.
Does anyone experienced any solution for this problem?
homezone
i dn´t know ´bout a special program for displaying the hz-status, but i´m about to call o2 for an application to fix it.
the rom i cooked works well, but as you know every data got lost (about 350 sms or so) :x
try to cook it at www.yorch.net - coz stefan´s kitchen seems to be a lil´bit slow

About a week ago we were all getting excited about the XDA II & SE and all the new product anouncements........ and..... its all gone very quiet....
Does anyone have any updates, a confirmed release date, or screenshots to confirm its going to happen ?
The latest news has O2 not releasing the SE update for XDA II devices. (File under "ways to lose repeat business and word of mouth.")

Yes, but they *are* releasing SE for the XDA IIs and IIi. I doubt it'll be too hard to port the ROM accross, as they're basically the same hardware with a little added WiFi and keyboard.
WM2003SE
No any news!!!!
if manufacturer release rom for WM2003SE, it will kill the market of XDA2s & XDA2i models which will roms on WM2003SE.
let's hope WM2003SE for our device!!!.
and now !! FORGET IT about SE !!!!
thanks

Can we cook a ROM for the MDA 2 based on SE?
Hi folks:
I don't need the little keyboard and I don't need Wi-Fi. But I do need the landscape rotation on the fly (Nyditot does not quite do it). Of course, the solution is a ROM cooked with SE as its base.
Can this be done?
Thanks,
Fernando
there is no such thing as people being able to cook with a basic windows ce version
all roms ever installed on our devices have been modified versions of roms released from htc
pocketpc is not like windows where you can install it on different pc's with different hardware
all drivers are hardcoded and all devices must be present and the same
thats the reason you cant install a xda2 rom on a xda1 or a ipaq rom on any of them
and people cant install xda3 on the rest of them
so unless they as in htc (o2 tmobile ...) release 2003SE to xda2 and xda1 then i dont see it happening
I have an XDAII ROM running perfectly on my XDAI
And have every intention of trying to upgrade it to SE when somone takes the ROM off the XDAIII and it shows up in a ROM kitchen.
Yes it may invalidate my warranty and some inbuilt utils are useless(WLAN / photo / bluetooth) on the XDA I - but overall it will be an upgrade to have landscape capability and other inclusions.
Just because it's not an official upgrade does not mean that the smart folks here won't find a way to make it work ( but at your own risk)!!
which version is that ?
1.60? 1.66? 1.72 ?
i've never heard anybody doing that before
are you sure you just dont have a 2003 xda1 rom on your device ?
Good point -
I should have been clearer.
It is ROM version 4.00.05 which I had cooked from a kitchen.
I have recently cooked another ROM with base version 4.01.12!
Will this not work on the XDA1 then?
Please advise as I have not yet installed it.
Do you feel that the WM2003 SE will not be able to be ported to an XDA2 as an upgrade unofficially??
Jayman
yes it will as will all roms made in kitchens
there are no kitchens for xda2 roms because they use the extented rom to store special programs and cant have them cooked the way
xda1 roms can so you can install that rom just like the one you already have
Thanks for clearing that up.
So do you think this community will be able to find a work around to port WM2003SE to the XDA2?
As it will effect my hardware upgrade path decision.
Thanks
Jayman

hey there.im new here.plz can anyone tell me if we (magician/jam users) can upgrade our 2003 SE to WM6?
and if anyone did it.is it good?is it creating any problems?
wm6
Hi. There's no wm 6 for magician as the wm 5... So if you find it and it will work? tell it us!!1 =)
Just wanted to thank mun and lsvw for their cooked roms they are amazing but has anyone been able to get bbconnect to work on either.... ?
BlackBerry / BBConnect working on WM6?
Hello
I Tried already all WM6 Trinity ROM's but get always disconnected.
The following BB versions works on WM5 TyTN but not on the Trinity ones 2.1.2.64 is very good but the 4.0.0.67 more complete! The two have the same failure... disconnect...!
Does experience?
Many thanks for your help!
Roman
I think that roms must be modified specifically to make it work.
Have a look at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=294218&highlight=bbconnect
I've seen it, but there we need to know the hex code to search for each rom / cooket rom!
Roman
Hello I have now a Tytn but i changue with a trinity because the trinity is more small and have a GPS.
I work now with BBC 4.0, I see in this forum what the trinity don´t work with BBC 4.0...
It´s posible in future modify the LSW or another ROM for work with BBC 4.0 or similar in WM6 or WM5 it´s the same in trinity.
Thanks and sorry for my bad english, I'am spanish.
I have X-tel ONE PDA
which is 64/128 RAM/ROM
520MHz WM5
and I need to upgrade it to WM6
How I can do that ????
From where I can download a stable version of WM6 that's Support my device ??????????
Thanks in advance
You probably cannot just download WM6 for that device. If you want WM6 you will need to cook a rom (create a rom for your device) or get someone else to do.

HI!
sorry to reply to an old thread..
i also have an xtel one phone, and am also looking for wm6 update, or atleast an aku3 for wm5.
Seems like support for this phone is waaaaaaay low, but i read somewhere that it is very similar to a Hyundai pda.
