They don't go in your rings folder they just go straight into the windows folder and then that way you can access them
sms notification
I have an xda2i, does anybody else's give off an sms sound but there is nothing in your inbox, no notification on screen but an sms has been sent to you?
I don´t know how you can choose wma ringtones for sms because when I put them in windows folder they simply aren´t displayed in the list. And I have another problem, when I receive an sms my Qtek 2020 doesn´t ring whatever is the ringtone I choose. It just makes one sound just like a single note. Anyone knows a fix or something else? My ROM version is 2.06.00WWE, Radio version is 1.14.00 and ExtROM is 2.06.100a.
Thanx

Ringtone notification (mail or ect..) on Tmo-Wing

I've searched all over this forum (sorry if I missed it or something) but is there a way to get my own custom ringtone for whenever I receive mail or a voicemail. I already have custom ringtones for my phone itself... but I can't seem to be able to get anything no matter how I try to show up in my "notification sounds" section on my wing. Any help would be appreciated.
I happen to hate the selection of tones for my Voicemail and SMS and would like to make my own.
I need answer of this question
Just put the ringtone you want in the Windows directory and it'll show up in the notification sounds list.

I tried to put them to \windows\ directory (not sd card, i mean main memory) then its ok. Sms, mms, e-mail notification sounds should be in \windows\ directory? Or have any idea for SD card?

Adding in new tones for Messaging: new text message

Dear All,
How can we add in new tones (mp3,wmv files etc) into the X1 such that i can select it for sms tone i.e. "Messaging:new text message?"
I understand for Ringtones, to add in new ones, you can add into the folder "Ring" under \Windows\Rings.
How to do that for messaging tones?
Just drop the file you want into the windows folder and then it will be able to be selected. but be aware if you use a full song it will play to the end as i found out in a board meeting lol.
Haha.. lol.
Thanks for your advice!

costumising the txt massege alert

Hey ya all..this is my first time i am posting a thread i just want to know how can i chan ge the text massege alert with any tune, not with those one's which are already in there,i have downloaded some tunes and i am having problem or i dont have any idea how can i make it new txt msg tone.
you can just put the sound file you want in the windows folder and you can then select it from the drop down menu in notifications for new text message, if you have mp3 you can use the mp3 trimmer program and then in the options save as text message or incoming call sound there are a few ways to do you can try searching for more choices

I know we can't attend calls yet but if u want to change the ringtone, sms or other notifications sounds in Android Just connect u'r phone as mass storage device and create two new folders as ringtones and notification and put all the .mp3 files in them that u want to choose from.
then go to sound settings in settings and u can find them under 'phone ringtone' and 'notification sound' now...
