I have the Home plug-in and Home Customizer installed on my 8125. When I press the button for the messages or e-mails, it goes to the last place I checked. As I use MMS, Text, Work e-mail and Home e-mail, I would rather it went to the account selector page. How do I switch this?
Thanks

So i changed from the 8125 to the wing and I have discovered it is much more difficult to send a new text message. You have to go through like 5 different commands...(open the message bar, select text message account, tap menu, scroll to new, scroll to sms) it just seems so tedious so i was wondering if anyone knows of a way to make it so i can have new message be one of my soft key choices (preferably where the delete soft key is). Its really annoying.
Thanks BP
How about when you install the HTC Home plugin, I HAD one until i bricked my phone yesterday :'( it came with the PDAVIET rom which was released some time ago.
What it does is, it shows on the Today screen a link to Email and one to SMS.
That's probably the fastest way.
Cheers
how 'bout putting the command "new sms" under a softkey ?
Or simply install the program "name" (sorry forgot the name) that puts a "New" menu at your left soft-key in the today screen, from there you can choose sms, e-mail, mms etc.. Just search for New menu
Press Contacts softkey. Scroll to the intended recipient. Tap, hold, pick "Send Text Message". Type text message. Press Send softkey.
What's the problem?
How About VIJay?
Hello,
I use VijaySMS All the time... It allows you to make a shortcut (I use SPB Today so I create the shortcuts in there) that either starts a blank SMS or start one to a specific contact. You can find the program at Vijay's webpage here: http://www.vijay555.com/
Enjoy!
You could set up the Message button to automatically go to your SMS Inbox when you press it.
Messaging Inbox > Menu > Tools > Options...
Select Text/SMS and uncheck "Display account picker when opening Messaging." This will automatically open your SMS Inbox, thus eliminating the first two steps of your problem.
I have htc home installed. I love the way palm threaded sms works, but it gets really annoying at times. is there any way to set it up so that when i hit the text button on htc home it opens JUST my sms inbox, and when i hit the email button, it opens JUST my email? right now, it opens the main messaging window, as well as the text or email window whenever i hit either of those buttons.
also, when palm threaded sms is installed, my text message inbox opens itself about every 10 minutes on its own, does anyone know how to stop this?
if not, does anyone know of another sms program? the one that comes on the mogul is really slow and ugly, i dont even care if its threaded, i just want something faster and possibly better looking than the built in one

Click to collapse
Load up your emai/sms ap, menu -> tools -> settings untick "display account picker"
well that solved the problem of it opening the picker, but it created another problem. now the email icon on the htc home plugin just opens text message inbox as well. is there a way to set what those buttons open? Also, is there a way to delete this "Outlook E-mail" account?
thanks for your reply isix
I've got a TyTn on O2 (Xda Trion), and a TyTn 2 on T-Mobile, and they both have the same OS and Office Mobile versions, but I keep hitting the wrong buttons on Outlook, because on the TyTn 2 there is an extra item on the Menu in Outlook, The bottom option saying MMS Options... which is not present on my TyTn.
Is there a way to add this to my TyTn, via registry etc? Or even, remove it from the TyTn 2!
Also I have the Schen HTC today on the TyTn and wondered if there is a way for the email menu button to always open email, as mine opens whatever was last looked at, like sms. This does not happen on my TyTn 2, the email menu button always opens email, and the sms button always opens sms.
Thanks for any help.
Hi,
Since a few weeks I have a HD2.
I syncronize to an exchange server.
That works.
I can read all email, but after a while I can not write new email or reply on a email. When I select new email I get a blank email.
I have a black bar on top of the screen with the start button etc.
And I have at the bottom a black bar with send and menu.
Between those bars there is nothing. Even the send button does not work.
I hard reset a few days a go the HD2 and everything worked fine. Today I have the same problem with the blank email.
Please help
I upload a screendump as I see when I want to write a new email.
I noticed also, when I receive a sms message I do not hear any sound.
Does anyone has a sollution for my problems.
Thanks in advanced.
Blank Email (Solved)
okay. I solved the problem.
I found out that after I installed a cab with hebrew fonts, that this cab killed the email functionality.
After stripping the cab with WMCE Cab manager everything works.
Any way to get the messages "line" on the non sense home screen to go to sms
Hi all, I decided to not use the sense home page thing and now my phone is much more like the x1 main screen which is ok as I have a few plugins (some still to install) on there and it makes for easy nav... but the message line only links me to the outlook emails rather than all the messaging services... any way I can get it to show text messaging when I "click" on it... cheers
Ok I found out that when you disable sense its called titanium... so is there any way to get the message section on the home screen to go straight to sms messaging instead of emails... actually come to think of it where is the text message option in the list of accounts in the email setting, are they not linked now as they were in the X1...?
