[Herald] Phone crashes after startup - Wing, P4350 General

I have recently flashed my Herald (P4350) with one of the Open Touch kitchens.
Until today I never had a problem but after using one of the default "Today" options the HTC hangs immidiately after reset.
The problem started after I opened the page to change one of the options for "Today" screen from the settings menu. Because I wanted to have de audioplayer on my Today screen I checked the box "player" or "audioplayer" (not sure what it said) to have the player on the desktop.
Then I closed the page with "Today" options and when it tried to load the normal "today" screen immediately my phone crashed with only the player at the top of the screen visible.
None of the soft of hard-keys are working.
I have done multiple softresets and even have the battery removed for 10 minutes. Every time I am having the same results, it hangs after startup
I'm getting the Open Touch logo, then the green WM6.1 startuppage and then when tries to start the Today page it hangs immediately after loading the "player".
Waiting for some minutes doesn't work, no hard or softkeys are working.
There is an exclamation mark visible at he batteryindiator.
The Herald is not overclocked.
What has happened and what can I do to solve this problem ???

Have you tried a hard reset...should take you back to the default rom you downloaded

Yes after all I did a hard reset and that brought me back to the default settings.
I still want to have the audioplayer on the Today screen but I am a bit anxtious to check that box again.

Really Weird Crash...

Sometimes when I read a new message and hit the reply softkey, the busy animation appears in the center, the side scroll bar flashes between what it should be and like a scrollbar in the scrollbar and the 'x' button flashes between the x and ok. The only way I can get it to stop doing this is by softreseting the device. I have the T-Mobile MDA and I have tried to do a hard reset which proved to be useless. I then tried to reinstall the rom and that did not solve the problem either. Finally I got frustrated so I ripped off the screen protector and STILL it does it. Can anyone suggest anything?
Thank you.

Problem closing the Settings window

I have an mda running xelecin's 2.26 ROM. All of a sudden, when I close the settings window, it goes back to the today screen, but the title bar still says "settings" and I have to hit the "X" in the top right corner a second time to close out settings. has this happened to anyone else? have a suggestion on a fix?
Thanks,
Is it still the same after a soft reset?
Sometimes I have a silimar problem in another ROM - when "settings" window is open - there is no X close button. Maby it is a bug in my vBar.
a soft reset should clear this problem.
I have an I-Mate K-Jam running with the latest firmware from the i-Mate website itself. In addition to this I've got SPB Pocket Plus running and I have the same problem as well.
It clears off after a soft-reset for a while.... then starts up again.

Problem with HTC Home.

Hi, I installed HTC Home and HTC home customiser on my orbit2. Everything looks fine and it works okay until i come to update it or change options with htc customiser.
I run the customiser and it says disabling htc home but the program stays on the screen.
When i go tto today and untick it, it still stays on the screen. The only way i can do it is by unticking in today, then reset device, then change options, then reset device , then tick it back in today, then reset device. Very annoying u think?
Anyone got the same problem? Or anyone point me to the two programs that work please. (if they do).
Also problem with tomtom, that only shows on screen sometimes.
It seems when i tick/untick things to show/notshow on today screen, they dont refresh. So they stay on screen as they were without changes.
thanks so much.
Stu.

Htc hd2 keeps freezing help!

alright sooo I tried changing my wallpaper...did it about 3 times till I found one i liked. then i clicked the start button and went into the start menu but the wallpaper there was the one I had before...so i did a soft reset thinking that maybe thats all it needed. Then when i turn my htc hd2 back on it takes like a minute *longer than usual* saying "loading htc sense" with the old wallpaper in the background and once its finished the new wallpaper pops up and sense is loaded. The real problem is now that the device freezes alllllll the time. the start menu still has the old wallpaper. I tried setting the wallpaper back but every time I enter the screen to select a picture it freezes! I even deleted the file and it STILL is the background. PLEASEEEEE HELP!

The problem with the wallpaper is because sense is a seperate shell that runs on top of WinMo, so you have to set it in sense, and then if you want the start menu to have it you have to set it on the WinMo side. Are you using pictures from your sd card for the wallpaper? that might be causing a slowup. if so, move it to your devices main memory. I don't have the time to really look into it right now, but when I do I'll play around with my phone and see if I can help you figure this out.
By the way, welcome to the forums.
Thank you for the welcome! I have found a lot of interesting tweaks and mods for my htc hd2 here! :] About the wallpaper issue...how do you change the wallpaper in WinMo? I think i solved the problem. I went into settings -> all settings -> today and changed the background from there then a soft restart. I dont know if that changed the home screen wallpaper also but it did change the start menu background. THANK for you help!!
I still dont understand why my hd2 keep freezing though. I have been running wallpapers off my storage card since the beginning with no problems like this what so ever. Then all of a sudden I change the wallpaper again and it starts acting all funny! lol
