hi all
i want to extend the ram i have, so is it can be purchased..
i'm planning to go a phones stores and do it..
but for saving time i'm asking
thank you in advance
No, this is not possible.
Unless of course you are going to extensively modify the firmware and drivers and everything. It's not just like adding ram to a computer.
The phone has mt6582 chipset.. 1gb ram, 4gb internal.. quad core 1.3 processor..
I want to port a rom for the device, but i can not do that, since it has a locked bootloader!! However i managed to install CWM on it and i did a tut too: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56741481&postcount=167
So I need someone to help me with this one, please!
Cheers
Hi i know all problem because we have a 32 bit os in a 64 bit processor( 32 bit data bus) but can we choose or change the kernel in the lineageos setup with 64 bit version?
For test and bench is really hard setup a 64 bit kernel?
THX for support

Certainly Not as Moto G4 Plus is having only 32bit source code (you might end up writing whole code yourself if you are a C/C++ pro who knows ) Available and Certainly i support motorola with their decision Running a 64bit OS Means UI Lags and Stutters on a budget SOC (that too sd 617) So In short No you can't run 64bit Kernel
Hi all,
I have a moto g5 plus which is not rooted but has an unlocked bootloader and twrp. If I get a security patch or Oreo update in the future do I have to do anything special to apply the update and if I download and reboot from the update screen what happens?
Thanks
You need to be on stock recovery for getting any type of update wether it is security update or major rom update.
If you download and update from update screen custom recovery (twrp) open and nothing happens or you get error in custom recovery (twrp).
Will the Oreo update be 64 bit instead of 32 bit which the stock rom comes with and does the moto z2 force come with a 32 bit rom because that's a weird decision especially since the snapdragon 835 is a very capable SOC.

Most likely not. It's unfortunate that Motorola doesn't make their OS 64 bit.

I doubt it. It's definitely easier to build a 32 bit OS but not much more work.
I don't think it is possible to update from 32 bits to 64 without erasing all data.
Don't forget that there are people using the device thst knows almost nothing about technology, so it could be a problem for data loss.
