Hey folks...I installed the Palm threaded messaging and removed the program via the Remove Programs option under Settings. I also removed the Palm Messaging folder under Program Files. I know it replaced the standard messaging in the Windows directory. Is there any possible way other than a hard reset to restore to original text messaging capabilities? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Running Alltel HTC PPC-6800 with WM6. Let me know if further information is needed. Thanks in advance!

Do you know if a hack is available to add "unthreaded? text messaging back to the Mogul? Our IT folks have Moguls and just upgraded to 6.1 and they receive text message alerts from their LAN/WAN monitoring program on issues with their customer networks. The threaded messaging is really a pain because it lists all the messages under the same heading?
Anyone have any ideas?
Download Schap's Advance Config Utility and disable the threaded sms.

Hi all! This is my first post here and I have a predicament. I use the HTC Home today plugin with the HTC Home Customizer. I also use SMS-Chat as my preferred SMS program. However if I want to use SMS chat, instead of the default messaging program, I have to go to start > SMS Chat, or Launcher > SMS chat. This isn't a major deal, however I would like to be able to just push the middle SMS link on HTC Home and have it pull up SMS chat. Is there a way I can edit the path it uses? I would like to keep the leftmost messaging link the same, so that I can still check my email and mms easily, but I would like the sms link just for SMS-Chat. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I have just installed a new rom, Schap's WM6 Pro 4.31, and my sms messages are not displaying in the chat/conversation view. I have tried the registry tweak and sms mode 3.1 and the palm app, the tweaks do not work and the palm app is not what I had before. I had this view on 2 previous roms and it is on my work phone - htc touch pro. I looks like its something that comes with Windows Mobile, can anyone shed any light on this please?
There is application SMS Tweaker that provides threaded SMS or you can set it up in Schap's Advanced Configuration
I have found out that the rom I have is WM6 which doesn't have sms threading so am changing my rom! Thanks for the reply!
so, threaded messaging is disabled by default on my PHAR100 (the htc p3470).
how do i enable this? is there a registry hack, or a little prog that'll integrate with WM's messaging system?

I have changed the storage settings to Clear the deleted messages "Immediate", but the messages still in the Deleted Items. I still love to use HTC messaging and don't want to disable it.
Can anyone help me with the permanent deletion of messages from HTC messaging?
