Mogul 2.17 rom won't stop rebooting... cant use phone.. help!! - Mogul, XV6800 General

I have a Sprint Mogul that is less then 3 months old that I update about two months ago to the newest rom out to get my BT headset to work (still didn't). Now in the last 4 days the phone either won't start or keeps shutting off an rebooting itself. I get no errors and every once in a while the phone will act normal for about 20 minutes then go back to doing it. I'm about to flash it again with the same rom but is there any other solution... Help!!

I would recommend reflashing the ROM. if you're using the stock rom, and you haven't done the hard-spl hack, that will probably take care of the problem.
Alternately, you could try doing the latest mods and install a good custom firmware, which could take care of the problems and give you Rev A and GPS, which I find to be fun, if nothing else.

do you have any links to these suggestions... I tried the rom update and the phone was fine for 12 hours then went back to its old ways.... thanks for your reply.

Every RSUpgrade version I tried fails on 1%!!!! Help!

I'm wrestling for the last 3 days with my qtek after the phone died. I tried different versions and combinations of ROM and RSU, 3.16.13, 3.17.03, XDA Develpers ROM 1.1 and RSU's 4.20.1 and other 2 that were inthe reapir.zip fail I received from Ricardo Gomes.
Everytime the Upgrade utility stops at 1% and asks for reset. Only yesterday night, with Special edition 1.1 the sync with the pc works again, but the phone problmem remains. I'm lost.
Can you think with me what can be done? I need your expertiese.
Thank you

Can you explain died in more detail? Was it during an upgrade etc..?
No, it was during making a regular call. The only "irregular" thing was that the unit was popping dialogues saying that I need to recharge the battery. I reseted the unit during the calling attempt and next thing the light didn't work, and when put it on the craddle the charge indicator didn't work neither (both things, the light and the charching indicator still don't work).
When I saw that it's not coming back, I started to work on flashing the ROM, etc.
The unit was working stable with ROM 3.17.03 from O2 UK and RSU 4.20.1
untill this happenned.
should I try CE2003?
I feel stupid. After all what I worked for 3 days to recover the unit, all ineeded to do was a hard reset. Everything is ok now. Thank you.

Will WM 6.1 fix my locking up issue?

My phone has to be restarted about every other day. Stuff just starts disappearing off the home screen and taking forever to do anything. Would an upgrade to 6.1 help this?
Are you on a stock Rom?
Since an upgrade will install a brand new Radio and Rom... Yes, it should help this. (so might a hard reset) However if your issue is Hardware( doesn't sound like it) or some poorly written app you have installed (could be) then the upgrade wont help unless you replace the hardware, or dont install the bad app.
So.. Yeah go for it.. It should help. If you havent flashed before.. READ the instructions so you can avoid major headaches or a bricked phone.
My Stock Verizon Phone locked up often... (once or twice a day)
Upgraded with DCDs most excellent Rom, Now my phone is solid.

No radio after vibrant recovery rom update

Hi
I don´t really know what happened, but I was playing around with recovery roms and now the radio does not work (it does not register on network).
After whatever I did (cant really remember any more), my phone when it starts says Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 and it didn´t do that before when it worked.
The phone is a Vibrant, T-mobile branded SGS.
When I go into recovery mode, it says it is ClocworkMod recovery v2.5.1.2.
Also it´s really wierd, since it shows two bars for a couple of seconds when waking it up - and then it shows the icon for no connection.
Any tips on how to fix this?

Well since you do not indicate what rom you are running I would suggest Odin back to stock and start over. Sounds like you might have flashed the wrong rom for your phone since you see the GT-I900. You could try to flash a rom like Nero V3 over your current rom first and see if that helps. If you do and still have issues I would still suggest Odin to stock and start fresh.
so wierd
changing to Nero worked.
And I tried like 4 ROM-s and they didn't work (and I have been flashing roms for about 2 years now).
thanks! But I feel like a total noob now ha ha

[Q] hd2 hangs when gets warm - might it be caused by rom update and how to fix it?

Hello All,
I have an HTC HD2 (TMOUS) that hangs once it gets warm. I got it a couple of days ago. The first thing I tried to do was to update the rom (there was an old stock rom) to the latest version from t-mobile. But when I tried to do that the update process failed at 8% with "error[262] update error". I tried to flash it again, but got the same result.
I tried both the approaches: to flash via usb and via SD card, but the results were the same. Flashing via SD card gave me "RSA fail" error. I have found some related info, but that is not the case since I could flash the radio later. Also I've noticed that after a couple of iterations the phone were vibrating 7 times during the rom update process. Some guys are telling that it could be a motherboard issue (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=797179 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=826119).
Today I tried to update rom again and got it successfull. But the phone has hanged on botting. Taking into account that the phone has been turned off for the whole night I decided to try to put it into a cool place. I put it to the balcony for 5 minutes and the turned it on again. It has loaded successfully and I was able to test wifi and to make a couple of calls. But after some time when it has got warm it hanged.
I have found that some guys had the same problem but couldn't fix it (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=701349).
It seems to me now that this is a hardware issue (maybe with the internal flash memory module).
Was anybody able to fix the isssue?
Could this problem be caused by my attempts to flash?
Thanks in advance.
Guys,
I'm kindly asking to share your thoughs on any of the questions. It is very important for me since I don't know whether it is my fault or the phone was already damaged.
The rom I tried to flash was a stock rom and the flashing process hasn't been interrupted.
Thank you!
had this issue and indeed it was the motherboard so i had to send it back to htc.
good luck.

Before you go trying to replace the mother board or any hardware such as that. I suggest you run a task 29 on your HD2 and reflash the stock ROM. A task 29 totally wipes the current ROM on the HD2 so if it is a problem from you trying so many timez to flash the ROM this will clear that up. Here is a link to the task 29 thread so you can learn more and decide if you want to do it or not.
Thank you for your replies!

Yes, that's a useful tool, but I'm afraid that I might damage the existing rom and will not be able to flash it agian. Also it requires to flash HSPL before which also potentially might brick the device ( I mean the flashing process).

So it was a factory defect, wasn't it?
If I did something wrong during the stock rom flashing process, could be the reason of the problem?
Thank you.
After reading forums it seems to me that the issue appears mostly for T-Mobile US version..
If it is a hardware problem, does anybody know what part of hardware is damaged?
Thanks!

[Q] No sound and occasional wifi

I wanted to upgrade my firmware for my i9505. It was rooted so I went back to a stock firmware I had used a month or so ago. Xxuamdm. It went perfectly fine and after rebooting I set about upgrading the software. The first upgrade was nearly 400mb. This downloaded and then installed OK. The next one was about 50mb and the same happened again. Then there was a third one - about 50mb again - except when my phone rebooted it got stuck on the loading screen. I tried to reboot several times but I couldn't get past the Samsung loading screen. Eventually I decided to reflash the stock I had before using Odin again but this time when I went to update the firmware I couldn't turn my WiFi on and also I noticed my sound had stopped working. This is for calls notifications music YouTube everything. I have then tried to update via kies and still I get the same problem. I went to Sammobile and downloaded the most up to date firmware for my device and still no sound or wifi. I then tried a Google ROM I had flashed previously and the WiFi was able to turn on again but still I have no sound. All I want is the latest stock firmware and if I can then root it afterwards that would be a bonus.
I have searched for answers but I can only find two threads - both of which have not offered a solution to my particular issue.
Thanks
Sorry if I have posted in the wrong area but does anyone have any ideas on this? I have managed to flash several different custom roms today - Foxhound, Google Edition, Echoe - each of these has working wifi however none of them have fixed the no sound issue. When I call my phone it I hear ringing from one end but my phone does not even show someone is calling for a good 30 seconds - and I cannot hear anything when I pick up. Once I hang up my phone still thinks I am on a call and wont disconnect for a good 30 seconds.
When I get home later I am going to try and flash the following stock firmwares using Odin:
I9505XXUDMH8_I9505OXXDMHA_BTU
I9505XXUBMGA_I9505OXXBMG3_BTU
Is this a good idea or am I wasting my time and need to do something else?
I desperately need someones help on this - my only other option is to get a new phone and I really cannot afford to do that.
