Hi I've done a couple searches and come up emtpy. I'm looking for the Windows Live Search today plugin. Also does anyone know if there is a way to edit it to search google instead of Windows Live Search. I've got it on a ROM on my Wizard and would like to put it on my Kaiser. Thanks.

Gotcha, thanks. That's horrible. I don't want full blown Messenger I just like that today searcher the best. Well, better then "SearchToday". I might have to give in though. Do you know if it's possible to edit the reg or something to have it search google instead. Or would you happen to know of any good replacement Today searchers off hand? There was one that wasn't free I think that let you search from different places like, images, google, wiki dynamically.
i'm pretty sure that either kaisertweak or advancedconfi can edit the livesearch on the today screen to search google. i dont remember off hand, but i think its in the lasted advanced config.

1) There's a cab to change the default search engine in LiveSearch posted around and about. Search for google in this forum and work from there, it'll turn up as it's been posted a lot.
2) There will be a today plugin for that somewhere, though probably not on xda-dev. I've never seen one for that specifically but there are literally thousands, maybe even millions of today plugins about by now, and most old ones from PPC 2002 onward are still ok but there are squillions just for WM5/6. Searching on ppc freeware sites should find you that.
3) Most 6.1 roms have threaded sms enabled anyway so you could do that. I notice from your thread in the 6.1 forum you've got an older rom installed so you might not need to look anywhere else if you just update the rom. Otherwise, there are a few apps out there to do it: there's 'palm threaded sms' and VITO Software make one, but there are others as well. Again, a freeware site (VITO's isn't free) should help.

Two problems/questions:
Due to VGA, the default zoom level and/or font are too small. Is there any way to change this? I looked through the registry but could not find anything.
I seem to have lost the audible beeps on upcoming turns. Anyone else and is there a fix?

Since the google answer is usually just a waste of thread space (google results in many things like "Live Search, Windows Live" etc which aren't the right result), here's the link for anyone else looking for it.

I'm looking for the same thing. The font size for street names on the high-resolution Fuze is too small, laughably small, in both Google Maps and Live Search Mobile. There's a preferences.xml file for Live Search, but I don't know what tags in it (if any) apply to font size. Need a fix! I loved my Live Search, but now it's basically useless. Certainly useless to navigate with.

Only know of SK Today Commander which allows you to configure multiple Today profiles, meaning you could have the same plugin on each of your Today profiles but you can only use one profile at a time. Same plugin on the same Today profile shown twice?? Nope, I don't think that's possible, but I may be wrong...

Have you tried Ultimatelaunch - I know you can put multiple plugins on one page; however, have not tried to put the same plugin twice.

OK, I was successful in having the window's live search today plugin twice on the same page using UltimateLaunch. To do so you must create a new page with combination tabs - Just to add two today plugins. It worked for me.

Use Samsung Time. You can press and hold the clock to access the settings. You can choose your choice of 2 time zones. I have attached it for you.
You can display a plugin only once on a screen. Some launchers, like WAD, have a portrait and landscape view. Either way, even if you had the same plugin twice, it can only be configure once, so you would just have a duplicate.

As I mentioned earlier, I did have the exact same plugin working twice on the same page using Ultimatelaunch. I agree though, that they would both be configured exactly the same. I did not test using a different plugin on the same page twice, how it would react. I have one page in my ultimatelaunch setup displaying 2 different plugins and it works great; however, personally have no need to display the same plugin twice on the same page.

Hey, that would be sweet. Might be worth a try. (Perhaps a new thread is warranted for this though?) Better do some reading first to see if this has already been done.
I've actually thought about this. I think it would be cool to have 2 rotating cubes of ultimate launch on the today screen. That would make ultimate launch the ultimate app for me!

I'm sure there is a lot more than changing the name. Plugins use .dll's for configuration.

Get hold of a WYSIWYG website editor and use one of those..
I think dreamweaver is still available as a trial, try that to build what you want to see, then save the page as html.
otherwise there's huge amounts of websites that give tutorials on html, it's not difficult at all.
SE Panel SDK supports native panel (i.e. panel developed using windows programming technique) and html-based panel. the latter will be more designer-friendly, but probably won't be sophiscated as the native since API will be limited. That said, with all the panel request on running certain app as the background, I got to say html-based panel might just well do the job.

what about some sort of task manager panel, maybe if possible with more info than the standard task manager. it could include info for battery, ram, cpu use, heat etc. a sort of all in one info panel/task manager

Sounds like a good idea.
At the minute im just making a simple development panel.
Just so people can see how it works when they look at the HTML of the panel etc.
Ive managed to open .exe's etc, just wondering how to open sections of the .exe.
For example: clock.exe opens up the alarm bit where you can set alarms. However im wondering if the tabs on that part are also part of clock.exe
Does anyone know how I can access \\Windows of my X1 on my PC? I can only seem to access it using Total Commander on my X1 and to be honest. Its hard to scroll through thousands of files on such a small screen lol

Thats dependant on the games you have installed. I could do it with the games already on the phone but other than that, each person would have to customise it for their own phone

As long as you've got activesync or the vista version installed you should be able to go through my computer.. But I'm on my linux machine at the mo so can't say what exactly the path is.
I don't think you can overwrite files in x1 windows btw direct from the pc.

All of sudden, I start getting error while adding new channel in stocked RSS Hub application in my HD2. It used to work before very well.
When i search online for channels, I am getting Error "No matches were found" using Live search.
I get results when i use syndic8 but results are of no use.
Please help me to sort out how can i make live search work again for online channels.

i have exactly the same problem. In short words, yesterday it works, today not.
The program under START > "Windows Live" works without any problem. But i don`t no, if its the same program to search for (because the search machine inside the rss hub is also called "Live Search".
If i use the search machine syndic8 it doesn`t finished the search, it runs infinity.
Any hint are welcome.

What phone (version) and ROM are you using? What options are available under search? If you go into windows life do you have it set not to sync with RSS? I think when I "windowsed" my phone I saw options to sync RSS information but didnt check it since the RSS thing takes care of that.
When I search online for things through the RSS I have that syndicate option but the default is bing and it works just fine. (T-Mo US)
Do you have any other data issues?
Where is the RSS Hub? Where do I find that application?

i have the original 1.66 ROM released from HTC. Again, it works fine till some days. In my phone i have the search machines Live Search and Syndic8 only and no chance to add a different one (it would be nice to do so, but no chance.)
Live Search says after some seconds “Error:No match found”, Syndic8 find my searched keyword and I can select the feeds. But when I update these feeds > nothing works, error during update.
I have installed a different Reader, it works (please, no comments like than work with this one > I like to work with the original).

Did you ever get an answer to this problem - I now have the same problem after a hard reset of my HD2. Worked yesterday, did a hard reset and now doesn't. I get the same error as you.

I did know this, and have done that - I have imported my channel list fine, but now can't add any new ones cos I get an error when I search!
I can search by www.Syndic8.com but get the Error: No matches were found.
