I have Pocketgnuboy and PocketNester on my 8125 and I'm having problems using the Green and Red phone buttons for gaming. While the programs can map the keys in the program, it won't work for the games. Is there a block imposed on these keys to prevent mapping these keys for games?
Well, I have noticed personally that some games will run with full functions over all the keys and ect; while some do not... I had bought Sky Force to test and see if I could play it with mapping the fire keys to my call keys. Sure enough it worked. On the other hand, trying to play games on PocketNester doesn't seem to work with the mapped keys or even the on-screen controller.
If anyone has an answer, please keep us posted.
Sorry to bump this back up. I have been playing with games on my 8125 and the itch to be able to use all the buttons on the phone for gaming had come up again. I was wondering if anyone had been able to figure out how to get the green and red call buttons to function in an emulator like PocketGnuBoy or PocketNester even though the mapping portion of the program recognizes the key. Thanks again.
Hiya, I'm trying to get n0p dos working on my Hermes but I'm having some difficulty. I want to use the cursor keys of the built in Hermes keyboard. Firstly, does anyone know what the Hermes key mapping is? I.e. what number is assigned to all of the buttons on the Hermes?
Secondly, does anyone use n0p dos, and what are your dosbox.conf settings?
so does no one here want to play old dos games then, or at least has the key mapping for the hermes?
Hi everybody,
Does anybody know how to play Mame ROMS on a WM touch only PDA, like my HD2???
I've installed Pocket Cult Mame 0.5wip and it works very good but... you cannot configure any button to control, so the only method to stop it after runnning a ROM is to take off the battery or a soft reset.
Does anybody know how to solve the problem?
Other question: is it impossible to build a mame module to use under Morphgear?
İ'm having exactly the same issue on my omniaII I8000. There are plenty of emulators out there avaible for wm and i succeed to make some of them work on my i8000 but with the lack of Dpad it is impossible to play ! Any help about virtual onscreen control would be appreciated
Hello,
this might sound strange, but I need plain escape and alt keys on my hardware keyboard. The reason for that is the QEMU emulator. After testing it's android port with my DOS image (with a nice collection of games included inside) I found out that arrow keys work perfectly and games are stable, but I need to map hardware keys as alt and escape or create on-screen keyboard for QEMU (the way Windows Mobile port has). I would appreciate any help as I do not have any experience in this sphere. I couldn't donate much, but I could share my DOS image with any shareware games required other members
Hey try looking online for a android softkeyboard that has those keys or try the market and search keyboard and see what you can find but other than that i dont know what else to tell ya but i was wondering if you could post the images and eluminater here so i could try?
Thanks

Hi all,
This thread probably won't get much traction, but I'm pretty sure the developer for DosTurbo isn't very active anymore.
There are really two separate issues here:
1) The analog triggers are not mappable. The in-app mapper does not register them at all. I dug around quite a bit on this, and if I'm not mistaken, DosBox Turbo is really just an android port of Dosbox with some added features. Dosbox itself has it OWN mapper. Has anyone had success getting the triggers to work?
2) The thumbsticks. Now I don't know why the developer restricted the mapping here, but here are the options:
a) map a thumbstick to keyboard keys (like up, down, left, right)
b) map one thumbstick to mouse control, the other to "joystick"
You can only pick either a or b. No combination of both allowed. The problem with this is that I want one thumbstick to map to up, down, left, right and the other to map to the mouse control. You'd think (b) would work, but games without joystick support do not recognize the "joystick" so I'm stuck using the d-pad if I want mouse control on the thumbstick.
FYI, I'm trying to setup the controls of a modern shooter with Duke Nukem 3D. I am very close. The dpad control movements, the right thumbstick controls mouselook, triggers do nothing. I just want the left thumbstick to work like the dpad, and the triggers to work.
If anyone has any advice, please let me know. Like so much in the Android emulation world, things get so very close to perfect without ever reaching it.
Did you tried magic dosbox?

That was actually the first emulator I tried for Dos (free version). I found it confusing because at the time I knew nothing about Dosbox. Anyway, last night I bought the full version and yes, the controller mapping is 100% compatible with the Shield Controller. Thanks!
Also it seems the developer for Magic DosBox is active, unlike all the other Dosbox ports. The UI is kind of weird... perhaps that's why I was so confused. Runecrafting and all these other references to fantasy RPGs is an unnecessary layer to the learning curve. That said, the help documentation inside the app itself is quite good.
Actually im interested as well.. can you make make a small guide, link or something for this?
I only found things in russian..
