I'm trying to find a today plugin that will allow me to have a panel on my UL that just has photo dial pictures.
So it really just needs to be a nice today plugin that is a photo dialer..Anyone?
what you can do is create your own link and make your own photo icon
I created the photo icons myself so that the frame matches my theme...
I also use this program called "go2contact" that allows you to open up the contact screen via command line...
thanks got go2contact to work and it brings me to the contact page so i can pick what number to dial or sms whatever...thanks

i also was looking for a photo dialer plugin and i found a plugin that was from the Treo 700w that works great on my Kaiser. It allows you to have a row of photo contacts and then also add more contacts without photos underneath if you prefer. for more information and to download the plugin go to

Put it will be 3 tab to 5 contacts.
why dont you al make a fotodialer tab just with ul ? you just need the makecall.exe from daniel who created UL:
www.ultimatelaunch.de. you find it on the left side. its a a part of "smartutilities". put it on your phone make under command a link to that. under "params" you just write the phonenumber. thats it, and so easy.

I still haven't found one that does exactly what I want... i'm going to attempt to make my own using UL author's Smartapps dialer app... Course with that, I have to make my own ICO files... time to take some photos of people.

This is a bit of a digress... any such utility to create short cut for SMS? Now I'm using Mort Button. But I like how UL works. Would prefer not to 'launch' another application.

Just download the program like he said. You create your own icons, and bam, done! it works very well. I'm using it...

Well I decided to create my own icons.. so i used photos (photoshop elements) in .jpg format and saved them in irfanview as .ico format, but UL won't open them. Can someone tell me which icon/graphics program I can use that will convert other formats to *.ico format?

I have been using this for a couple of weeks (Dont remember exactly when), Suddenly I get "trial period over"

Have you tried google? I actually typed "convert tga to png" and found millions of them on google.. most are paid software. If you dont want to pay for them, some give you free trial and I bet you can use it.... if you search more, i am sure you will find some free ones too..
maybe you could put up the pics here, and i am sure, some of u would help

Hello
to convert the icons from one format to another is one thing, the easiest. But the most important is, which icon name matches the correct one in the home plugin.
For exsample name pocket weather is 1.tga, does it match with HH_WEATHER_01.png at the home plug in? Not that the forecast says rain and it shows son because I used the wrong icon name.

im trying to come out with an iphone/cube with the new ultimate launcher that is similar to the release I was going to make on WAD... you can see a preview a few pages back on this thread if you want to see it... the only problem that im having is how to convert torx png icons to ico files... i converted them myself, but i cant get the background on them to stay transparent... if someone can help me out with this... itd be much appreciated... because i will be able to release this design to the public

Which programs have you used?
I remember I once used Microangelo and it worked fine. It's not free, though, and I don't think you can do any batch converting if you have lots of files that needs to be converted.

yea, thats my problem... i dont think ill need a program like this after this project, so i dont want to have to buy a program... the one i used was "abc" i think it was "advanced batch converter"
but, yes that is crucial... id like to be able to do these all at once... instead of one at a time... i have several different icon packs... akumas icons and the torx icons... if anyone is willing to convert them for me... your efforts will be acknowledged when i release the ul skin...

Try "ICOFX" (Freeware) , i made my UL-Cube Icons with it. Converts everything to ico, also "all at once".

Only know of SK Today Commander which allows you to configure multiple Today profiles, meaning you could have the same plugin on each of your Today profiles but you can only use one profile at a time. Same plugin on the same Today profile shown twice?? Nope, I don't think that's possible, but I may be wrong...

Let's say one profile for portrait and another one for landscape, and it would switch auto. on rotation ? That would be very cool for themes

Have you tried Ultimatelaunch - I know you can put multiple plugins on one page; however, have not tried to put the same plugin twice.

OK, I was successful in having the window's live search today plugin twice on the same page using UltimateLaunch. To do so you must create a new page with combination tabs - Just to add two today plugins. It worked for me.

Use Samsung Time. You can press and hold the clock to access the settings. You can choose your choice of 2 time zones. I have attached it for you.
You can display a plugin only once on a screen. Some launchers, like WAD, have a portrait and landscape view. Either way, even if you had the same plugin twice, it can only be configure once, so you would just have a duplicate.

As I mentioned earlier, I did have the exact same plugin working twice on the same page using Ultimatelaunch. I agree though, that they would both be configured exactly the same. I did not test using a different plugin on the same page twice, how it would react. I have one page in my ultimatelaunch setup displaying 2 different plugins and it works great; however, personally have no need to display the same plugin twice on the same page.

Hey, that would be sweet. Might be worth a try. (Perhaps a new thread is warranted for this though?) Better do some reading first to see if this has already been done.
I've actually thought about this. I think it would be cool to have 2 rotating cubes of ultimate launch on the today screen. That would make ultimate launch the ultimate app for me!

I'm sure there is a lot more than changing the name. Plugins use .dll's for configuration.

What format are notes saved in?
This looks interesting, but I'm confused about something. What format are the notes saved in? You say it doesn't save or read .pwi, which is the default notes application for WM, but what about .txt? Or is this just internal to your application?

Same problem here. I edited the mortscript files so that they would work on a german ROM but the notes' content (the texts written to the TEXT2 reg keys) isn't displayed in Titanium.

I got the same problem - often I got empty pages in Notes plugin - the saved notes in TEXT2 reg key did not show up. (in portrait mode, in ladscape it seemed to be ok)
Problem solution: There is a bug in default.plg file for the CQuickNotes at least for 480x800 resolution. At line 251 there should be a </Text> tag, to close the text definition, but it somehow got under the next <Text></Text> block. This causes the TEXT2 not to show up, because it is not properly defined (it's in another Text block).
I fixed it by editing Titanium_480x800.cpr file in \Windows\ directory. Now it works flawlessly!

there is a plugin called CMYPhotos in that pulls images from the devices "my pictures" folder, i just installed a 6.5 rom two days ago and i couldn't find a way to make it pull them from another location.

i tried it with pix only, and it was awfully slow. any ideas on what is causing it or how to fix it?
The default already haves them all preloaded as you choose next/previous.
Mine doesnt, it loads them on the spot every 1 second.
The bigger the picture, the longer it takes to load.
If its not loaded on that second, it will only show on the next, so it takes 1-3 seconds to load each picture.
If anyone does use mine to build a new version, would need to use the color codes "cheat", so that each time it changes page, the system loads the next and previous imeditatly. Thats would make it much faster.
I wont do that for mine, because its a page-only version.
