Ringtone Vol in Sprint Mogul - Mogul, XV6800 General

I cant seem to increase the vol as much i would like...my friend has the Verizon XV6800 loaded with the same ringtones...his riingtones sound louder than they would in mine.....is there a Vol tweak i could use...my phone is loaded with nextvisions' latest rom

Stupid question, but did you click on the speaker in the title bar and raise the sliders to their max?

yeah of course I did that...am not new in this...its just that the vol is still low compared to XV6800

There is a file called audiopara.csv that you can change. There is an edited one out there. Too lazy to look right now.

try just increasing the volume of the mp3 files them selves using mp3gain, thats what i do..
http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/download.php

Use the dpad left and right to change the Sprint TV volume.

also under HKLM/SOFTWARE/SPRINT TV there is a registry entry for volume
up it to 100 (any higher doesnt make a difference) and you will notice it gets louder, (that may not be the exact location above, i dont have my device on me ATM so im going from memory)
Thanks. I've tried both sugestions (d-pad while in player and the reg key) and neither seemed to increase the volume at all. It just seems very soft. I guess I was expective the volume to be close to that of windows media or the phone speaker.
Reg: I found 2 keys...
HKLM\\Software\SpintTV\Volume=20. Changed to 100 with no change.
HKCU\\Software\SprintTV\Volume=60. Changed to 100, no change.
Make sure both the sliders on the volume control are max and you'll get more volume whether it be ringer, music player, etc.
One seems to do front speaker the other back speaker.
Since it changes ringer volume too, you got to turn it back down when you're done with tv etc.
Seems to me they should be independent but that's how it works.
THAT DID IT! Thank You! Man I love these forums. WM is so 'obvious' sometimes. ??
Also note...
1. I changed the Reg Keys back to their defaults (HKLM\S.W.\SprintTV\V=20, HKCU\S.W.\SprintTV\V=60).
2. Made sure both Device and Phone Vol @ max
3. Went into Sprint TV and Tested the volume. On enter it was low. I increased it with the D-Pad. MAX Volume was achieved. Nice.
4. Went back into the reg key and the HKLM path had moved from 20 to 100on it own. So it looks like the d-pad is directly moving the "HKLM\S.W.\SprintTV\Volume=X. Haven't seen the HKCU path update. So I'm going to leave that one at default of 60.
Thanks again. You guys rock.
When I installed 6.1 Rev A on my phone and downloaded the sprinttv.cab the issue with the low volume went away.

Volume

Ok I am pretty new to the site but I have done alot of modding to my mogul and I now I need some help. I was wondering if there is an app that will let me increase the volume when my mogul rings. Cause right now it is loud but I went to the mogul from the Q (total POS Don't get) and it was alot louder any ideas?

in need of a volume boost for ppc/win mobile 6

I'm loving my touch dual, however i am very dissapointed with the speaker phone volume, when using it during a phone call and when playing mp3's. Now i know that I can increase the volume on each mp3 from my computer, but i honestly cant do that with all my music heh. Is anyone out there aware of a ppc program that would allow me to boost the volume? I know on my old treo there was a great volume program that boosted the main system volume so anything you did was boosted volume.
yeah i second this.the volume when using the speakerphone is so weak you hardly can hear the person youre talking to.
I'm having the same problem.
I found this little cab file. Don't know exactly what it does but it worked for me. HTC TMO Wing. I think it does a registry edit. Don't know if it works on other phones, but it definatley boosted the volume on mine.
Its only 1kb. Installs on the phone not the Storage Card.
ok, if nobody else tries this in the next day or so, then i will give it a run...im sure it cant hurt too much.
This works on my touch :

to go back:

i tried the last cab file posted by flash mp3 and i didnt notice any change at all. I will try the first one tomorrow and see if theres any change with it

If you tested the 2nd cab it's normal that you didn't notice any change cause it permits to go back to your old setting. It is the first cab which permit to really boost the volume of the sound on the touch.
when i said second cab file, i was referring to YOUR volume boost file as oppsed to the first guy who posted it. I didnt bother using the rever back to normal filel you gave because the volume boost didnt seem to do anything at all on my touch dual
Volume boost
I tried the files of Zcink and Flashmp3. None is operative on my Niki.
But it's a French ROM. I think there is a specific limitation, and i dn't know one issue fot that except change the ROM.
Have you one another?
Just be sure to check...
I have been trying to find a volume booster for my brand new Treo Pro for 2 days now. I tried several different methods with no promising results. Then I realized that my SCREEN PROTECTOR was over my earpiece on my phone. I removed the screen protector and BAM my phone was monster loud! Something that i did previously DID work, but, I wasn't aware of it because the plastic protector sheet was hampering the sound before it got to my ears.
So just as a heads up, if you're using a screen protector, ensure it's not covering the phone where the sound comes out of.

this **** kills your sound

Cant adjust in call Volume

guys ive seen som eposts about problems with volume but i cant find a solution for my problem
when in a call i cant adjust the volume???????
when i push up or down the volume screen appears and it moves up and down but it doesnt actually decrease or increase the volume??? any ideas please?
ive tried the system tab and also the ring tab
its really loud and quite annoying
Do you have S2U2 installed? Encountered a similar problem with this S/W installed....had to remove it unfortunately, after using it on several previous devices.....
hmm no i dont have s2u2 installed, il have to see if i installed something that caused this
anyone?????????
got the same pronblem... not sure since when. I have installed s2u2, but set it like recommended by other users who definitely CAN control the in-call-volume... got no idea... looks like a hard-reset may be necessaray... but I just don't want ang got no time... ****...
regards jan
I CAN control the volume, but it doesn't go to zero. I mean the minimum value is still high.
earpiece volume too low
i thought i'd post this here: i have found the earpiece volume during a call to be rather too low, even though i set the volume to the highest level. other aspects of the sound function seem to work nicely, loud speaker and headphones are pretty loud, but the earpiece is too damn low. any thoughts..
any idea if HD tweak can increase the earpiece volume
i found that option 3.3 acoustic setting when set to maximal increased my earpiece volume dramatically during calls. and that option 3.4 increase sound increases the ringer volume. can anyone confirm
i just got my HTC HD...my happiness knew no bounds...
but when i made calls...the world fell on me ...the ear piece volume is too low compared to other mobiles; its hardly hearable
i might be missing something...plz help me as soon as possible

could it be the simple issue that, by default, HD changes the ring volume and not the speaker volume when you press volume rocker?
you can check this and if this is your problem, do a search through the forum and you will find the registry tweak, or the volume cab to change this.
good luck!
Hi folks,
found another possible reason (but unfortunaly no solution yet) for in-call volume control not working... as this thread mainly focuses on s2u2, i've opened a new one here

[Q] Volume Increase

So I take it that no one has had success with the increasing caller volume hack in the registry? I tried editing maxincalluivolume and it will change the max number, but not the volume in general. Any one have success with this?
wrong thread, should be in the q&a section but in answer to your question there isnt any fix that im aware of. I know in europe many MP3 players had to have their volume reduced to fit in with EU laws, this is potentially the case on this ROM too...dunno, just a thought.
Yah I'm using the DFT roms release, and if I'm not in a quiet room I can't hear anything. Are the other roms the same? I'm on tmobile usa. Any info would be great.
Thanks
all the roms are the same, a few tweaks here an there but they are still pretty much identical, in answer to your question, they will all have the same issue, there is currently no way of controling all the seperate volumes. in a phone call if you press the volume buttons you can change in call volumes, at any other point its the sytem volume thats controled, there is an app for controlling the media volume however, search market place for media volume
