My "old" P800 was able to announce who was calling in my Bluetooth headset. After pushing a button on my Bluetooth headset I was able to do voice dialling. It could even pick up the call without pushing a button on Bluetooth headset.
Can wm 2005 on the Prophet do all this?
I have this working on my Jamin without any hacks
Care to share how? I just got a JAMin. No mention of voice dial except by launching program and certainly no mention of BT button. Pairs with my Plantronics M3000 fine but BT button doeas nothing. Any ideas?

Query to Wardy about Bluetooth Headset & Voice command
Hi Wardy does your Jamin let you control MS Voice command using the button on the BT headset? Or do you have to press the voice command button on the PDA and then talk through the headset?
Voice Command, once it is installed on the Prophet, works just like it did on the Magician. However, the Prophet (at least in Jamin flavor) has an app that lets you create voice tags to control most of it's functions, and this app can be started by using the button on your bluetooth headset (and accepts audio from your bluetooth headset). There are a few limitations, though: you have to create a voice tag for every single item that you want it to launch... and you can't create a voice tag for Voice Command :?. In other words, it is (as far as I'm concerned) completely worthless

Hi no sorry I am using the supplied voice command software. Its not a problem for me putting voise dial numbers in and I believe it gives better recognition than text to speach. But that's my view
i have an HTC wizard with WM5 and i am using a plantronic bluetooth headset that works great except that when i press the button on the headset i cannot make the phone activate the windows built in voice dialing. The button works fine to comnad the phone to hang up ans answer a call. does anyone know ho to have the bluetooth headset button activate the builting voice dialing ?
Hold that same button in that you use to answer/hang up until you hear a beep. Then you will see your phone switch to the voice dialing screen and you will hear one more beep. After that just speak the command you want to execute and the system will re-play the command back to you if it recognizes it. Works great on my 640!
I installed and uninstalled the JETware Hands-free Extension and since doing so voice dialling via Bluetooth has stopped working.
If I press the voice dial button on my BT carkit (Parrot CK3200) it now launches the phone app, and not the voice dial up.
[HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceDialer\Path] is set to \WINDOWS\sddialer.exe
Pressing the Voice Dial button on the handset launches voice dialer.
So it is just the bluetooth command which is wrong. Any ideas how to fix it?
Don't know if it will help but the attached cab file sorted out my voice dialling over btooth - couldn't find the thread I got it from so you may want to search it out before trying it.
I need help w/ configuring my phone to play the set ringtone through my BT headset (Motorola H700). I updated my phone (Cingular 8125) to the 217 ROM w/CF2, ringers, themes, A2DP on FTP, and I have Microsoft Voice Command installed.
The registry value for "IsEnabled" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Obex" is already set to "1" but the ringtone through the headset is a no go. I can get it to work only if I press the call button on my headset to enable the gateway and leave it on but I don't want to do that since it will kill the battery.
What setting or registry value do I need to modify in order to get the ringtone to play through the headset or will I need another app?
Also is it normal for everyone when using the Microsoft Voice Command that you have to press the call button on your headset 3 times for initiating a call & opening the gateway, ending a call, and closing the gateway before you can initiate another voice command/call? Again, this is on a H700 headset.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

It's a free program that's designed for this. You can still answer calls and do voice dials but sometimes it knocks it off at the end of a call but it's easy to restart if you put a shortcut on your today screen.
VJVolubilis can do this and a bit more.
