Hello,
Suddenly, I have lost all sound on my qtek 2020.
The system volume slider is on the lowest position and when I put it back on top, it goes back down.
Also when I try to play a ringtone a message appears saying: "The ringtone is not working properly".
I cannot hear the ring for incoming calls, or any other system sounds.
Can anyone help on this issue?
Thanks a lot
is the radiobutton in the slider dialog set to off ?
is it set to vibrate ?
how are the settings in sounds and notifications
did you try a softreset ?

I reinstalled the widcom stack and sound is ok.
Did anyone know, how to erase the widcom-stack correctly - without the soundbug?
Does the delete-routine delete something wrong or thomething in the registry?

If you have the Widcom stack go to the WIDCOM BT-manager Audio gateway tab and Disable this before uninstalling. Sound should then remain actve. Had the same problem
Very easy and simple fix!!, i had the same problem about a month ago and it took 3 weeks for me to find the solution,
click on start, then ultra profiler and untick the silent box and tick the normal one, select bluetooth as you want it, but make sure all the others are blank, tap the select button and its fixed !!
It seems that ultra profiler gets confused and forces the volume down from time to time for some unknown reason without you ever using it

I have not installed Ultra Profiler...
I yesterday made a hard reset of my device and installed it from scratch... Now it's working...
It seems BluetoothGPS is the faulty one, since after uninstalling all sounds are gone...
I followed instructions in this post to remove it but BluetoothGPS still shows in Remove programs section.
i havent installed ultraprofiler either, and i didnt want it because of this problem, but i comes preinstalled with the XDA2,
Maybe it isnt preinstalled on the Qtec version ??, not sure as i havent got one
just install bluetoothgps.cab again and all will be ok, i dont know the reson and appreciate if some one give a real solution.
I have a MDA Vario which seemed to crash last night, I did a sort reset but since then the text message alert isn’t working, If I go into the system settings and sounds it will play the alert fine, I have the boxes ticked for play sound and vibrate but neither is working I do get a message displayed on the screen. Any ideas what might be the problem???
This is prolly a noobish question but...
My hermes makes a short vibration when a phone call is successfully connected. Is there a way to turn this off?
Have you by any chance installed PhoneAlarm. If you have then there is an option to "Vibrate on Connect". Just uncheck the box against this option.
Regards
Go into Settings > Sounds and Notifications. Go to notifications tab and disable vibrate on call (connection) connect.
V
good call on the phonealarm setting. That fixed it
Suddenly my message sound is gone, so is the vibrate function. The phone will play and vibrate when i get a call, but not when reciving an sms.
Under Settings -> Sounds i have turned "New message" on, and chosen a sound.
Running Artemis Rom, but this happend out of nowhere, long time after the phone was flashed. No new aps installed when the problem occurred.
same done in Advanced settings, but still no sound. Some help?
Do you know that messages use 'System volume' and not 'Ringer volume' ? So maybe only your 'system volume' is lowered to zero.
Nope system volume is 100%, tried the sound with several other programs so that's not it.
I have the same probleme on my HD2. Yesterday i still had sound, vibration and led nitification. And now only the led notification works.
All the other sounds work, infact i also have some new "blip" sound on message notifiction that i can't put off.
i had the same problem this today
after a soft reset, the sounds worked again.
My sound probleme was due to a change of language in the register (from french to english, 1036 to 409).
I put back the french language, soft reset, and it works again.
RRibeiro found a way to fix it
