Now that we have chat messenging in WM 6.1, is there anyway to extract our SMSes from the Palm Messenging application?
I've asked this a couple of times as well. I think it's a lost cause. I'm not even sure anyone's been able to parse the Palm SMS database format.

Is it possible to back up my text messages? I''ve been trying to get activesync to work for over 4 hours, and finally managed to get it to sync my outlook data, except the texts.

Hi,
no you can't. You have to search for thirth party software like Jeyo Mobile or write your own app, like I did.
Hi,
I ve just installed the Palm messaging app and the application is really good.. nice gui and nice performance.. however, Palm messaging app seems to have its own inbox/outbox database of messages; thus it doesnt use the same inbox/outbox database as the standard text message app.. this then causes the text messages that are received after installing palm messaging app not to sync with my Jeyo Mobile extender for Outlook.. please can anyone help?
Cheers

Same issue here..JEYO not working with the palm threaded app.
Am using 2.26 ROM on a G3 Dopod 838 device.
They have not opened up the API fully...
I really like having threaded sms built into WM6.1. I'm using DCD's 3.0.4 kitchen and it seems that ever since I've been using the standard text messaging program I've been having problems.
1. After a soft reset I lose some of the more recent messages in my inbox.
2. After a soft reset my phone will randomly resend an older message. I've tried to find a pattern as to which gets resent, but there isn't one.
I have tried many things to fix these problems, but nothing seems to work. I'm back to using the Palm threaded sms app, but I really preferred the native threaded sms. Does anyone have solutions to either of these problems or am I the only person with these problems?
Do you know if a hack is available to add "unthreaded? text messaging back to the Mogul? Our IT folks have Moguls and just upgraded to 6.1 and they receive text message alerts from their LAN/WAN monitoring program on issues with their customer networks. The threaded messaging is really a pain because it lists all the messages under the same heading?
Anyone have any ideas?
Download Schap's Advance Config Utility and disable the threaded sms.
Thanks
Thank you very much it worked.
Hey everyone,
I love the TouchFlo3d's threaded SMS look, but can't stand that in Touch Flo, it's hard to just go thru each msg one by one. I like opening the regular Windows mobile inbox because it's already presorted by users. Only thing is that when I open up a thread, I only get WM's ugly threaded SMS window.
Is there anyways, or can someone make a program/script that links up WM's inbox to HTC's Manila threaded SMS window?
