i just buy a new htc hd sim locked i installed SPL 1.56 and after 2 diiferents ROM but still got sim lock message.

I bought a HTC HD 2 wich is locked with (TELIA) i am not sure it is possable
to unlock the device so that i can use every sim card ?
I was thinking about to install HSPL and android (change the radio etc)
but i am not sure if i can destroy the device etc
