windows mobile 2003 se or windows 2005 french version

hello everybody,
1- i have a m1000, orange (both in frence). i do not know how to find the version of the software and the hardware, and how many things (rom, flash, ... i am lost) should i know to update it.
2- i want a french version of windows media 2003 SE. i know that the 2005 is not fully functional, and a lot of bugs percists. this is why i went to the 2003 se. (if there is a 2005 release fixed with not lot of bugs in french or english i'll take it).
3- i'm also interested in the wpa encryption for the wifi. i don't have yet the mc wifi, so if anyone can show me a url to buy it not too expensive.
4- the second interesting point is the GPS. can i have it in my car without subscribe to a FAI ? i just want to buy the gps module, connect it to my pda, install the softs, => and it works.

i think your problem is that the only language that 2003SE have ever been released for is chinese and people here manualy translated each file
and even though 2005 have is in english then it would have to be translated by hand by somebody
now that nobody give official support for any of those versions on the xda2 platform
maybe you could do the translation yourself with the help of those who did the translation from chinese to english ?

i have such a feeling, that french wm2005 for XDA2 will pop up here within next days... ))))))

Pvplayer and orange live tv on HTC TYTN

Hello everybody.
I have a htc tytn:
and i have a problem when would open a live tv on orange world.
When i click on the picture of the canal, pvplayer is opening and i have message of error : la taille de la sequence depasse la largeur maximale (148) ou la hauteur maximal (192). ( the larger of the sequence is too big, she exed the larger maxi (148) or the width maxi (192))
I suppose is a problem with my pv player is not compatible.
PLease send a exemple of the last version of PVplayer.
Me i have the 3.3 build 007.
A people who have a SPV M3100 can give a pvplayer??

I'm using actually a C600 under Bouygtel and i'm looking to change for a Cruise under SFR. Is it a good choice ? What about the GPS module ? Is it possible to us it without the expansive (and useless i think) SFR GPS service ?

La question que je pose est : la ROM SFR est-elle limitée par rapport à une ROM HTC ? Le GPS pourra t -il être utilisé avec un Tomtom 6 ou est-il vérouillé sur SFR ?

=> I did not see a lot of difference between the HTC and SFR ROM
=> Tomtom can be installed on both version and is fully functionnal (but is not provided by SFR because of there own GPS solution)
=> Before buy the Cruise, look around the forum and make your opinion with the bad video performances of the Cruise. Or look at http://www.htcclassaction.org.

TOMTOM 6 Works very well with SFR ROM and With HTC ROM. HTC Cruise has a good receipt of GPS signal.

hi men i gotta a flashed htc touch cruise too but the problem is thatt since i didt the flashing, i cant use my internet connections, wap, 3g....

I've took it, finally.

The Cruise is great. I have not really seen the "bad" video peformance, everything i use is working good...Enough for me, perhaps.
Next to my C600, there is no doubt !
Ok, the Camera is slow and not so good but i don't care. It's a phone after all
I will only use it from time to time ... so i doesn't matter.

My Maps-plus being on my SD Card (carte de stockage) TomTom 6 once installed in the mains, does not find the maps.
Can you please tell me how you did?
How do you create a link for TomTom to find the map and where?

TomTom maps should be in folders at the root of your "Carte de stockage" to be found. Create one for each and voila.

Actually, my Maps are in a folder called : France_Plus-Map together with others as well. The folder is in the root of the Carte de stockage.
Another little detail: TomTom 6 does not give you a choice, it just installs in the mains.
I am completely lost. LOL quelle honte!

Make a folder for each map because some map filenames are common (cline.dat, cname.dat, ...) thus your maps could be considered as corrupted.
Regading having TomTom on your storage card, once installed, just copy TomTom folder on your storage card and uninstall it from your main memory, then create a link to your navigator.exe file on your storage card. That's it (loke on you PC in fact).

I tried to add my city to the Touch Flo : Colmar, France
and used this tutorial :

1. Install WeatherDatabaseEditor_1_1 2. Go to Accu Weather Homepage 3. Enter the City u would like to add 4. Copy the Text from the URL which appears then: EUR|DE|GM001|STUTTGART Example 5. Here: EUR|DE|GM001|STUTTGART 6. Copy this one in the WeatherDatabaseEditor.You have to CHoose your Country above and then Click Edit->Add City and under Accu Weather Code u paste in the copied Code and have teh City u want.

But after having installed WeatherDataBaseEditor, I have en error message : you must install the newer version of .Net Compact Framework
When I install .net CF 3.5 on my HD I have an other error message : "The installation of Microsoft .NET CF 3.5.CAB has failed"
I don't know what to do...

Essaye d'utiliser celui ci, c'est la version française car j'ai cru comprendre qu'il y avait plusieurs versions. Perso j'utilise celui ci et ca fonctionne bien.

may be because you are using an application that requires .net 3.5 (ie. the failed application/error message in the background). just a wild guess. try a soft reset then install 3.5 immediately after it boots up.

Same thing after a soft reset...

first at all, I want to apologise for my english, from france. So I am not sure that I am on the good section, don't hesitate to move this thread.
So, yesterday I rooted and instaleld the cyanogen cutom rom. The new Rom is ok but since this moment, I lost the network and my phone is not able to connect to a mobile network, only "Emergency call only"
I really don't know what I missed and/or what I have to do about it.
So it's a Nexus S with a french provider Bouygues Telecom. If any one can help, I will be very happy

Try checking your IMEI number, type *#06# in the phone, if it starts with loads of zeros, your in trouble.
What ROM and what version did you flash?

So the IMEI is good, I can see it with no problem.
I used the cyanogen 7.0.3 as a custom rom.

I just verified in the phone informations :
cyanogen 7.0.3
build : GRI40
radio : I9023 XXKB1

Ok I had the same problem and I had to add my APN settings because it wasn't there anymore. I'm not 100% of the path since I'm currently running MIUI but I think it's Settings-Wireless Connection-Mobile Network Settings-Acces Point Names.

J'ai eu le même problème que toi. Bref, j'ai du ajouter les paramètres de mon APN car il n'était tout simplement plus là. Donc vérifie si ton APN est bien là et configurer, si non fait seulement l'ajouter et tu devrais retrouver ta connection. Si je me trompe pas c'est en dessous de Settings-Wiresless Connection-Mobile Network Settings-Access Point Name

But apns are only for data access (correct me if I'm wrong). Anyway give it a shot see if it work.
Edit: maybe try your sim in other phone to see if sim is the problem?
