Hey,
I'm new to WM6, I don't really like the Text/MMS being combined in messaging. Does anyone know how to separate the folders like in WM5?
I've been searching like crazy for a while and can't seem to find a simple cab or registry edit to fix this in the Arcsoft MMS that comes with the Tmobile Wing default ROM.
Thanks!
It's the version of Archsoft that causes it, I believe, and not a setting.
am looking for it too
yeaaa mann...i need that....just like on the excalibur the htc Rom seperates it..
Need? I LIKE it but I don't think I need it.
In any case, you'll have to cook your own ROM to get it together or use a ROM that already seperates them.
I got This From The Herms upgrading thread

I just downloaded the touchflo alpha 3 cab on my T-Wing and it works! I now have the touch scrolling features.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334965
is it any different or better from the ones in cooked roms (such as touchit?)
I have the original rom that my wing came with, all i did was install the cab. I can now fingure flick my contacts and IE pages
I think I'm going crazy. All I can find is the Ftouchflo but not the real biotouch. I know it's here somewhere. I downloaded it once for my Wizard... or at least I think I did. Or was that a whole ROM I downloaded? Someone help me out here. My searches keep giving me references to fTouchflo. I'll probably just end up downloading a ROM that has it and extract the touch.dll instead. (So far I haven't had luck, though... everybody removes the RGU files...)
Just upgraded to Sprint 6.1 Rom on my vogue and lost my dialer, anyone know where I can find it (CAB) again? I really dont like the new one since there is no "talk" button. Any help would be great. Thanks.
id be willing to bet google knows where that dialer is
Been looking for awhile now, maybe Google doesnt like me.... Thanks though.
Use the ppcgeeks kitchen, make yourself your own rom, unlock your device, put the vogue dialer in that ROM, flash and feel accomplished
ppckitchen.org
I'm not sure what is the name of the dialer though but it's included in open touch v4 rom for xda herald:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=377939
Frankly I really hated this dialer. The number buttons are small and very unresponsive. The color is not as pleasing. I recommend the iphone dialer of the newer minimal dialer.
that is actually the wm6 default dialer. I remember seeing a cab of it somewhere around here (for the wm5 folks)
This may be the cab you are looking for. From WM5.
I had to scout around and find it when i upgraded to WM6.
Cheers.
make the following edit in your registry and soft reset.
hklm\security\phone\skin\enabled = 0
thanks "black_mamba" @ ppcgeeks.
hey ppl
got myself a HTC Diamond touch a few weeks ago and so far i love the fone am in Australia so i had to buy the telstra one its unlocked but still has the telstra pre loaded stuff.
i am a vodafone user and have got the VF MMS and internet working
not interested in a cooked rom yet.
but here is my questions.
how do i use the iphone theme on this rom?
cant find manila folder, is it hidden if so how do i make it un hidden.
aslo in botom left corner it has bigpond link on the bar how can i change this to say contacts or even messages?
cheers guys
i did try using search but couldnt find a clear cut answer, think it came down to the words i am using to search.
oh well anyone with help thanks.
Which iphone theme to you mean?
There is no folder for the manila files, they are all in the Windows folder. If the theme has just these manila files, you need to use a program like total commander to copy the files from the theme's folder, straight into the windows folder, overwriting everything.
then soft re-set, and you should be all good.
If it is a .theme file, then you need to download TF3D Config, save the .theme file to a folder on the phone, and then point the program to the folder. Then, the program will do it all for you, and its easy to change back if you need to.
Hope that helps!
Hi mate,
As above for changing your themes.
The only other extra note to add to that is the simplicity of cabs. Just run the file and it will install for you.
I did the hard work for you:
If you want an iPhone style theme - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=425956&highlight=iphone+icons
Alternative small round iPhone - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=437100&highlight=iphone+icons
And lastly for the Bigpond softkey, you want this program - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2485292#post2485292
Grab the .cab file.
I also strongly suggest a cooked ROM. Once you get rid of that Tel**** ROM you won't look back
Cheers,
Byron.
Hey Uziel,
What did you have to do to get mms and internet working? I have similar issue but I am with virginmobile. Haven't been able to get mms or internet working yet. Not sure if it is some telstra settings stuffing the connection up.
Just a general question that you suggested dickenz. What cooked ROM would you suggest for us with Tel**** ROM's?
Cheers
iFonz
I use iFonz - quite fun and customisable....makes my iPhone friends chuckle...

Hi biggirdz,
For the virginmobile settings - My suggestion is to give Virgin a call and tell them you have a Windows Mobile 6.1 device (don't state it's a Diamond as they don't have Touch Diamonds yet I don't think and they might turn you away as it is 'unsupported') and tell them you want to set up MMS and internet.
EDIT: Just had a thought. If you have a Telstra Diamond with a Virgin SIM I think you'll need to create a completely secondary connection. Again, Virgin ***SHOULD*** be able to run you through this over the phone. Maybe even go on their website and see which Windows mobile devices they do have and tell them it's one of those so you get the settings out of them you want.
I'd go for Panosha 2.4 if you want a 'finished' ROM. But if you don't mind one in the testing phase dutty's is excellent aswell.
I am currently using udK's but he has only had 2 releases so far. However I am very impressed. There are a few bugs but I am sure udK will iron them out in future releases.

Thanks for that. I will see what I can do over the weekend.
Hi guys!
I'm a bit afraid of asking...but anyway.
I'm cooking for the Xperia X1 right now using osKitchen (newUI). The Kitchen is great and I already figured out a lot of tweaks. Currently I am using Build 28230 SYS/XIP and everything is fine. Except for one thing: Messaging is not working at all!
I can start the tmail.exe and see the account-selector. but I cannot open or compose a new message. Both email and text is affected. I already tried to leave out some OEMs that I do not need (cooking a ROM without Manila 2.5 but some HTC tools) but with no success.
Is some component missing for this or is one of the OEMs just incompatible? Of course I am not using the HTC Message_Enhancment, as it is slow and I do not like it...
Does anyone have an idea of what is going one / wrong here? Any help is appreciated
Thanks a lot!

There is a module that you left out called webview.dll. Without this, you cannot see or compose any new mail/messages. It should be located either in BROWSING or in the root of the SYS.
Add it again in your kitchen and you will be in good shape again
Good luck!
Thanks man! You were right, I accidently forgot this package... I probably would never have found the real reason for this. Thanks a lot. I'm cooking now and reporting later after flash
OK, that fixed the problem! I am now able to read text messages and create new ones. Anyway, wenn I click compose the window opens but nothing is clickable. the whole app seems to be "locked" somehow. WM icons and menus are working even though...
What a mess Any further suggestions?
I think I found the fix. I used the latest SPRINT Rhodium ROM to get my sources and this is for cdma radio. Probably some cdma-specific packages caused the secon problem. Thanks anyway

Did you manage to find out the specific CDMA packages causing your sms problem?
I'm using packages from "RUU_Oboe_Dopod_CHS_1.04.706.2_Radio_0.90.00.0 826_ Ship" for my WWE Topaz and Rhodium using 25027. I don't cook in HTC message and HTC messenging client, i.e. just using MS email, when I want to create a new SMS, the SMS app closes. I tried using 24631 and got the same issue, that's why I narrowed the problem down to the Oboe packages.
I've read the above about the webview.dll, which is there. I also have arcsoft. So what else is causing my problem?
I think your problem is not related to webview.dll at all. If you have some time my advice would be to cook a clean ROM with everything working and then enable all packages which could cause the issue one by one. This means a lot of flashing and testing, but I cannot tell you which package caued the problem...and I would suspect several packages in combination.
Sorry that might not be as helpfull as you expected :-(
Hi to all,
I just started cooking my own ROM for my Fuze 3 days ago and I'll say It's really challenging and needs a lot of patience and courage.
I've been fixing my ROM for 3 days now and still has some issues with some components in HTC Sense specifically HTC Messaging Client.
I tried looking for an answers here and there but I had more sighs than Hi's.
It's kind of tiring too to re-flash every time I try to make a small changes like what I'm facing right now in HTC Sense 2.5 were the HTC Messaging Client version for Build 28244 just terminates when I try to create a new SMS. I cannot get the right client for that build.
Is there like an easier way to apply a new client version and any small changes without re-flashing? Or that's the way it is? What about the HTC Sense files or any files in EXT, should I just copy that in Windows folder? But of course in the right directory.
Here's my little problem with my current HTC Messaging Client version.
I am using HTC_Messaging_Client_1_8_2019_3733_00 for Build 28244
When creating a new SMS, tapping on "Tap to add text", terminates the client. What's going on with that?
I saw NRGZ and TAEL rom.
NRGZ ROM, which I usually use and if the "All Messages" is tapped in "Messages" page/tab, it will show the old Messaging. How is that?
Help?
Thanks!

sorry about the confusions
Instead of re-cooking/flashing, most of the time you can test changes by dropping files into your \windows folder, and over-writing the rom file. You can also make registry changes. Usually, a soft reset is required to load the new files.
Can't help you with the messaging stuff; I've removed almost all traces of HTC that I could from my fuze.
Are you cooking in a Text_Selection package? If so, cook without it (or use a diff package), flash and test
I think HTC Messaging is a little complicated package. In my experience I came back to Arcsoft MMS package.
There are many interacts with HTC Messaging: Message Enhancement, dual (or not) sim, manila, windows build, resolution, etc. I think you must macth all these variables. And without Manila I think this not work. A little hard. Get luck!

I dropped the HTC Messaging Client and felt better ..
Currently fighting over with ActiveSync right now... It's just too many DLL dependencies to win the battle..
