If you have more memory now than you did before the pagepool then it worked.

here is what pagepool mean
it's kinda like memory cache for hd's in windows

More pagepool=more pages that can be processed at a time. Low pagepool=less pages=slow. But, having >8mb pagepool wont show much improvemnt in performance though

0 pagepool mean dynamic pagepool. Your Diamond's fast because it uses as much memory for papepool as it needs.

It's a windows program. It will not run on Windows Mobile. Sorry.

Great rom...no buts yet
Sergio great rom. No problems at all thus far. Speed, graphics and stability very good quality, Will be donating tonight when I get off work.
About cookie monster. I have to say I love it. I used max manilla prior to this build but I prefer cookie monster after a day of using it. The swipe left thing is a non issue; how much time does anyone really spend in the settings tab anyway? Maxmanilla just seems like a cluttered mess in comparison (Kind of like other roms out there with the "throw everything in including the kitchen sink" mentality)

Soft reset the phone and see if 4mb disappeared from your program memory. (Touch-IT 2.3 comes with a 4mb pagepool already.)

wats the best 3d touch flo for X!1??

well
i tried many " cab " , but all of them had some problems
so is there any which work perfectly???
I tried a couple of .cab installs of TF3D but had similar frustrating problems. So I bit the bullet and installed Jack's v1.06 ROM [ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=445818 ] and it's incredible. Very fast, stable and looks great.
I think it's the only way to get this properly working on the X1 for now.
What is the difference between it and the standard rom? The stuff it adds are available from apps

If you read the first post in the thread, you'll see what the difference is
So if i dont really need the extra memory freed up by the removed portions, the rom is as good as generic?
mmmm
thanx for this help
but actually i was only looking for adding it like a software
more than changing my rom..
so i think i have to wait bit more , maybe one can do it
Touch-IT TF3D works quite well for me. better than the FullHDManila cab...don't asky why.

could you please link the page that you download the Touch-IT TF3D? There seems to be so many cab. files that it is so confusing which cab. to download. thanks

[APP] Battery & Memory Meter (dciBatery) : Cab install

I made a cab install for "dciBattery" + "qwertyMemory". It shows two thin color lines :
. remain battery
. remain program memory => free RAM (not free InternalStorage, neither main device storage)
It will run from WM startup, so I recomend install them on device.
Credits to "lucasjonhy" (who was post these apps on his thread)
Thank you! I could never find just teh battery meter. It's awesome!
great apps.
btw the bar indicates which memory? main or internal storage?

This icons are from "darklord69" taskbar (credits from him).
You must read this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=3274341, but with 2174!!!!!!!! posts there.
I made my own cab install, based on darklord69 taskbar.
It runs from PTG stock ROM 2.03. If the HTC volume control don't run propely, you have to find the correct HTCVolumeControl.dll for your language.
(I can upload cab file, so I zip it => unzip and install cab)
)
Thanks XKAISER!

pcarvalho's 21222 .... the best for now.
Have not tried pcarvalho's 21222 yet but the pdaviet with 3D is great.. No much problem except Opera not working. Have to use Opera mini instead..
Cheers
Just try both, and see for yourself!
But, +1 for PDA-VIET, have used their 6.1 roms for some years, and they've always been great. The 6.5 one looks like it has extensive customization done to it, you might enjoy it.
It depends on what you want. PDA-VIET is a clean rom not many apps on it good if you want to start fresh. pcarvalho's has got loads more apps and has been customizated.
better..?
In my mind pdaviet is more customizated...in pcarvalho`s you must add new folders to the startmenu (like tools, internet etc)
pcarvalho has more programs but the taskmenu icons are from wm 6.1
pdaviet 21502 has a stupid dialer....so i flashed back to pdaviet 21501...its the best for me....
But both rom`s are very good.....and we hope for more...
so you must decide by flashing both roms to see what you want....
fast and stable are both.....
Sorry for the english...i`m german....and thanks for the roms
I really do prefer pcarvalho. It's lightning fast, well finished, more up-to-date and really works.
I prefer PDAVIET ROM because its light ROM, without many unneeded programs...

just out of curiosity...
how much Storage and RAM do you have Free (before install and after)...
and what do you consider needed programs...
cheers
Im sorry, cannot now HR my phone, i dont know about free space
But i dont need these programs : Opera, ZIP, YouTube, JbedJava, Footprints, AudioManager, AudioBooster, WindowsLive, GoogleMaps....
I dont need it cooked it in ROM... I like e.g. Google maps but i prefer to install it. And if it it newer version, i can upgrade with this new version...
And i like radio version 1.65, because i have with this version GPS fix about 15 seconds, i can call promptly after press green key etc...
Im very sorry, i cannot critize your hard work

I get around 101mb free storage and around 42% free RAM after a fresh flash of PDAVIET. It is rather strange because PDAVIET seems to have about the same amount of custom programs as your ROM, but a few more games and tools as well.

rom version 4 that radio is in the works, i get 20secs gps fix...so id say its pretty okay (less than a minute is good)
cheers

Well from memory, it was around 100mb for storage. From memory, at first startup, the HTC Task Manager says 58%, so I assume 58% of the RAM is used. Although this may not be accurate, but currently, at first startup, it results in 58% used RAM according to HTC Task Manager, with the usual startups, plus TouchPal and G-Profile service.

Me too.
It depends on what is intended as the average daily use. For me, with just pocket informant and sms chat, the average ram used exceed 85% after few hours. I let you imagine what happens when I open opera or something big.
My 2c? Expecially with MS operating systems, RAM is NEVER enough.
hmmmmm
both great... I for some reason stayed with pdaviet... no particular reason

For all 576 Mb ROM

Install Opera 10
open Photo from TAB Photo
I can't open becouse not enough free memory
I try it with 448 Mb ROM and work fine
Can you help me?

install 576mb radio and look for available RAM ~ 450mb
install 448mb radio and look for available RAM ~ 330mb
it's true! but some RAM is used by System
to disable it, just flash radio that don't support 576mb radio
is there any way to fix the problem, though? seems to me that photos and opera shouldnt be enough to fill the memory.

this is the Opera 10's bug i think
i dunno. i personally cannot replicate this with opera and photo
Can't replicate with both Opera 9.7 or 10. I can load them and open a photo without any issue.
It may be a bug in your rom?
I even loaded both opera, youtube app, google maps, copilot 7 and tomtom, and i still could open a photo from the photo tab without a hitch...

I only quoted Mr sternas who making the best ROM on this forum in my opinion, so I'm sure that he know that things
This is an Opera 10 bug... The workaround is to open Albums BEFORE opening Opera 10 and after that you should be able to open Albums WHILE Opera 10 is running...
Re: 576MB "trick"...
you're probably on a ROM whose Chef has chosen to differentiate their ROM from All the other ROM's whose Users actually benefit from the 576MB RAM that's there...
How do ALL the Chefs who Enable 576MB on their ROM's know this is NOT a trick? (Aside from the fact that there is nothing changed in the Registry to "Show" 576MB)
We tried creating a Pagepool of 448MB (on 576MB ROM's that's what's left after the 128MB is allocated for the Graphics etc.)... As you know, increasing the PagePool decreases available RAM...
by increasing this (PagePool) to 448MB, the ROM should not even Boot if the 576MB RAM is a "trick"... but it did boot... slowly and sluggishly... but it booted.
PagePool and 576MB RAM

I know that even filling 448MB with normal use is nearly impossible, so 576........

Just to confirm there could be something weird going on with Opera 10.
If I have Opera open, and I try to start g-alarm, it won't pull it off because of "not enough resources", which cannot obviously be the case.
Same thing here, mates
