Touch Commander Maximize and options? - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

Hey,
I installed Touch Commander and it is awesome except for when i make the minimize-move it closes the program and i therefor have to restart the program everytime I've minimized...
Anyone know why and is there any way to fix this so that i can maximize and minimize like they do in the flashy flash on the developers site?
I also seem to be unable to open the options tab which is more then frustrating since i guess that a solution might be found there..
Thanks on Prehand

Maybe we are both slow, but I'm having the same issue. When I minimize the app it closes. Would really like to be able to push/pull it off and on again.
Did you figure it out?

Low Memory All The Time

Hi guys,
just got my self an O2 XDA Mini S. Getting along great so far with it, still learning how to do some things. The only problem i have found so far is the very low ROM that it comes with. After opening about 5-6 programs, i find it to become very sluggish and simple things such as the phone dialer wont open up. I know how to close down unused programs, it just its such a pain having to keep an eye on this. Makes it worse if you forget to close them, and you get someone trying to call you it all goes wrong. Is there any way to increase the physical rom on this or am i stuck with having to close the programs fully everytime?
Cheers
Chris
I have the same problem with low memory & slow performance.
I use Magic Button; which is free and helps a lot. It allows you to really close apps (rather than "minimise") either with the close button or by selecting them from the top menu bar.
Search this forum / google to find it.
Thanks for your reply, looked at the website and seems like the right program. Havent got my link cable at the mo so will try when i get home. Ill let you know of the result.
Cheers
Chris
you mention the phone app not loading - i have this problem but but i'm pretty sure it's nothing to do with low memory as a warning would appear. I'm yet toi pinpoint the causes of this problem :-(
Ive found that if i reset the phone the app worked because it freed up all the used memory. Because of this, after i use some apps on the phone i use the memory manager, get it to close all programs, and this speeds up the phone alot and everything works the way it should. Im going to install the magic button software tonight that was mentioned to close the programs rather than minimise them each time. Hopefully this should sort all the problems out. Ill let you know tommorrow the outcome on this.

8525 issues with applications

I seem to have a problem with every app that i have put on my 8525. After a couple hours, or maybe even day, it stops working, without warning, or notifications, it just stops working, could i get help from someone? Also maybe a proper way of installing them, or such would really be appreciated. I'm really really new at this, and I haven't been able to find a solution to my problem.
Thanks
memory card or main memory?

Hello, what location do you install your app's?
to my documents on my device, main memory, then install to my storage
app's like?
there shouldnt be a prob.. except maybe you get a prompt after installation, that "the program may not display correctly, cause it was made for an earlier version of windows"?
i'd like to try such apps on my 8525 too. what type of apps did you install?
Aim 2.0, S2U2 but i got that to work now, Slick messenger but i got a different and better one now, thats about it, but another problem i had was i removed AIM 2.0 from my programs yet theres still like an apps icon with aim that doesn't open on my programs list... not sure how to fix that

PointSense Suite V2

Is anyone else here thinking of trying this on their TP2 when it's released in a few days time? Looks good. IMHO.
http://community.pointui.com/topic/suite-video-preview-pointsense-suite-v2-make-it-mine
I'm going to try it, it looks awesome!
Well, I'm just trying this and it seems very good! The only problems I have/had are the time being and hour wrong (corrected) and a problem with the Bluetooth Widget showing on when it's not.
Here's a look:
I read in the forum that this is extremely slow?
It's certainly not extremely slow - it's smooth!
I had the issue with time being wrong (GMT not BTS), and when I installed it the bottom bar was like the default Home2 one. When didn't uninstall properly.
Overall, it looks very promising if it works well, but I'll wait till the issues are ironed out, then once it's working great may by Home2 Pro to fully benefit from this.
Lets hope others innovate as much as this with Home2!
I have tried to install it and managed to get point UI working but when I installed the pointsense theme it crashed and wouldn't complete the install, now it won't uninstall because not all the files are there, and it can't be deleted, i've tried total commander and memaid to get rid of it and the theme folders just won't budge, it stops any reinstall and then stops the pointUI program working, i've tried to clean out related registry files using memaid but and i can't find any reference to the files using file explorer or total commander but when I search for installed apps using memaid once again the "blueOcean" theme folder is there, the folders inside are ALL empty but I can't delete them.
it's basically left a bunch of locked dead folders on my phone that mean point UI won't work properly again. I don't want to hard reset so I'm not very happy about the screw up, i'm not getting anywhere on the pointui forum with this either.
I'm sorry, but I can't help other than to say backup all your contacts etc. do a hard reset and reinstall it.
It's working ok on my TP2 and is very smooth. The only problems I have is that Bluetooth shows that it's on all the time, the vibrate widget doesn't work and 1 or 2 random crashes - but I'm sure these will be fixed soon enough.
Hope you sort yours out.
thanks mate, i'm going to wait to see how they develop it over the next week or so, i think the bugs and crashes are more the theme than the point Ui app. it's been designed very quickly and released quick too.
I will continue to try to delete the BlueOcean folders, I don't want to hard reset yet as it's taken a while to get HTC's TF2 to look how I like it and to get rid of the annoying Vodafone look.
It's my work phone too and I don't want to spend loads of time messing with it.....got work to do

cleanRAM problem/Annoyance

Hey there guys, just a quick one for ya.
Has anyone come across a problem with HTC Addicts cleanRAM?
when i click the the icon to clean it starts the process but then runs my email application(default HTC app) also.
It started doing this yesterday with no changes made to my registry or other device settings.
I've tried un-installing the program and then re-installing but i still get the same (annoying) result.
Has anyone else encountered this? and if so do you know of a fix?
Many Thanks

Well, for me, when I run the Level 3 purge, it takes me to the dial-pad screen for a few seconds. Never really bothered me though...
dial pad
level 3 takes me to dialpad also, wierd, but works ok,,
I also get this with Level 3.
...and for me as well.
This is just how it goes with cleanram. If you have done a customized process list than I would suppose thats why it's bringing up your email because it's purging anything in your list so if it's not running already it will bring it up to purge it to make sure it's not in the memory anymore.
Yea the thing is, i haven't ran a custom purge, i just do Level 3, and it doesn't just pop up, it keeps it open :s Thats why it was annoying for me, doesn't look like there is any kind of fix, just something we have to live with. Thanks for your input!
same here
I think I have the problem that after Cleanram, My Contacts and Programs wont open at all. Then calender says Error: Not enough program memory to start program...
This is a great tool but it keeps doing this to me...
I do a level one purge or 2, same thing happens..
any ideas?

Don't use Clean RAM, lol. It's not like you need to use it. I have 576Mbs enabled and I never use Clean RAM, most of the RAM used is just cache so your most commonly use programs will open faster if you don't use it.
I've never got any slow down from not using it.

Original home screen

Hi there.
Anybody find solution how to fast switch between running apps? It is annoying every time open up home screen and lunch apps again.
This is one of the thing why I'm planning to re flush my device to Android 5.1 or M.
Thank you for any ideas.
I'd like to find a way to do that too. Would love to replace that twitch menu with a recents menu. Preferably with a force close option.

I can't believe that so lazy people over here.
Any way , i found solution Smart+Taskbar+2+(V2)_2.3.0
Its OK at least resolved some discomfort .
good luck
@Zavulon61 I think you misunderstand. It's not laziness, it's efficiency. When you have multiple programs running and need to keep switching back & forth it really gets time consuming. For instance, editing a config file for an emulator in a file explorer then opening the emulator to test the new settings. Especially when the apps are sideloaded and do not show up on the home screen. Some apps even require a force close to reload the changes made.
As for the app you mentioned, I googled it and it seems to only be shortcuts to programs you select, not a list of recent apps.
There is no way to get recent apps as of android 5.0 as Google removed that ability. They had to to get the improvements in, but I digress. I personally use Glovebox on the left, and swapps on the right, with a mouse of course, and it's not as good as it should be on full android, but it's much much better. I'd suggest giving it a shot.
