Email/Text Notification popup softkeys - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

Just curious:
Is it possble to enable a "mark email as read" from the 'new email notification' popup? Also the ability to delete an email from this popup would be great as well.
Similar in feature to the 'new text message notification' popup>>right softkey "menu" choice "save as read" and "delete." Not sure why MS didnt include this enhancement for emails as well.

How to mark all as read on e-mail

Hey folks-- I was just wondering where or if I can get a "mark all as read" or "select all" option in my e-mail. first of all, everytime i restart the phone it re-downloads all my gmail email and keeps it as unread even if I already read it and marked it read. Second, i'd like to be able to just click mark all as read when i get some read and some unread emails, instead of going by manually and selecting each individually and marking them as read. I find it sort of annoying to scroll through selecting all e-mail then marking as unread and then marking them as read. I'd like to just be able to click a "mark unread as read" option or just "mark all as read." Thanks for the help. My rom is in the signature.

new sms preview

Anyone knows how to enable a 'menu' (right softkey) with say 'mark as read', 'reply', 'delete' and 'dismiss' when a sms alert pop up?
Now there's only a 'Hide' on the left softkey.

I would like to know that too. But so far, no progress on this..
Any solution for this yet? Since there is a preview of the message already, it makes sense that we can just dismiss the message outright rather than just hide....
Looks like the culprit is Messaging Service that HTC installed, however disabling it will render the HTC Messaing app unusable - no text messages can be received. Even though I kinda liked this app, I'm ok to use POutlook, as I used it before on my previous phones. Because having "dismiss" and "save as read" options right in the notification is more important to me.
So I did this:
1. Renamed value "DLL" under HKLM\Services\MSG to "_DLL" (this will disable this service)
2. Renamed key HKLM\System\Inbox\ExternalAccounts\SMS to "_SMS"
However I noticed that SMS count is no longer updating. I searched this forum and I found this: _ttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=556614.
There is a CAB that fixes the count problem.
PS: Damn. Tried to submit this message and got this: "To prevent spam to the forums, new users are not permitted to post outside links in their messages. All new user accounts will be verified by moderators before this restriction is removed.". Changed http to _ttp in the link above.
on my phone, the sms preview automatically disappear after 2 seconds...do anyone know how to change this ?
i have artemis 8.0 rom

How to use Windows Messaging program not HTC as default?

Hello,
On my HTC HD2 I have disable the Sense interface and have used the Normal Windows Today program with the "messaging" option displayed.
So I have the "No unread messages" as normal on my today screen like.
But whenever I recieve a message it doesn't say on the today screen "1 Unread message", but just a notification comes up on the taskbar at the top and when i click it it opens the HTC Application.
How can I make it that whenever I recieve a message I can use the default windows App and have all my messages listed there (Like on earlier OS's).
On 6.1 device when I click on "No unread messages" it comes up with which account to select, there is
"TEXT MESSAGES" and
"SET UP EMAIL".
But on my HTC HD2 it just says "Setup Email", there is no "TEXT MESSAGES" tab.
Can anybody help me to make it so I can use the default messaging application on windows to send/recieve SMS Messages.
Much Thanks.
Boris.
Have a look at this. It looks like just what you need

"Mark all read" inbox question

I know that this may seem picky, but in the absence of the ability to mark things read in the sense 2.5 email tab, i let a few emails pile up and then go to the inbox and use the "mark all as read" menu option.
O.k. is there any way to make the most used option on that menu appear higher in the menu box? It is second or third from the bottom and I have to scroll down to it, once in a while hitting something else by accident on my way down. Is there a registry key or something that determines the order of the entries in the menu?
