XDA IIi UK to Imate pda2 uk ROM?

Hi, Does anyone know where I can download the latest ROM for my XDA IIi uk to the latest Imate PDA2 ROM? I have heard that this is better than the 02 ROM? Is there any reason I shouldn't do this?

Thread move to Alpine from UPgrade, mod, unlock.
Try the I-mate ftp site.
For this follow the wiki link for the BlueAngel, go to the avlible roms page, at the bottom is a link for the ftp site of I-mate.

Many Thanks for the imate FTP tip, got the rom ok. I will update everyone once I have attempted the ROM swap

Update to the newer O2 ROM but use Pugs update version as this includes the newer Radio ROM version too

Read right through it though theres 4 pages,
This upgrade will error the first time you try, but it works on the second time.

Many thanks for all your advice. I am going to stick with the modified 02 upgrade, it seems the general feeling is this option.

I could use some help as well here
I was given an I mate PH10B PPC Phone.
Darn thing has a beta OS on it. I see the link for Imates FTP site but I have no clue what files to download. I have nothing critical on this PPC so data is a non issue.
Im a total newbe all I know so far is the OS is a ROM and I can put the device in serial/usb mode. Thats all I know so far.

I found a German ROM for my o2 XDA on the FTP site - here is the link...

Maybe it isnt what you are lookng for, but it got me out of a pinch today.

i have found the rom.And have try it.I can only boot in booloader mode.Nothing else work.If i activate bootloader mode and plug in the usb cable i hear the sound that usb is connected.But if i start the original rom update it doesn't recognize the phone. Error 260 appears Verbindung(connection)

I also had to load this rom from bootloader. If the rom doesnt see the phone, restart the phone into bootloader again. I noticed that if it tried to find the phone once and couldnt, it would not ever be able to unless I reset the phone and put it back in bootloader. this rom will work, just keep playing with it.

there should be some question answered for the ROM inside the archive <P3300_softwareupdate_GER.zip> before flashing.
1. Is the Rom an Original HTC 3300 ROM? (with TomTom inside)
2. Is this ROM WM5 or WM6? (nobody answered that question yet)
3. Which file inside the arcive should be used?
<P3300_softwareupdate_GER_1.exe> or
<P3300_softwareupdate_GER_2.exe> or both
4. In which order should I use that two files?
As long as these question are`t answered, everybody should keep the fingers away from flashing, because he did`t know, what he is doing. Some help from a "guru" would be helpfully. =

Note: ... using MDA compact III (GER) with WM6 O² ROM, with 4GB microSDHC which in`t working. I`ll hope to fing a solution as soon as possible.

Hi i have a quick uick question in regards to upgrading my XDA Orbit i have done the USPL flash and downloaded the WN6 wwe rom which is a os.nb so i wanted to no what program i need to use to flash the rom on to the device

Not sure how you could have missed it but have you looked in the Artemis WM6 forum at all? Of particular note is the complete idiots guide thread.

Can someone please teach me how to port a chinese rom to wwe? some kind of tutorial or something? Have searched for several days on google, but not been too much help.

I think xplode has few experienced on porting CHT/CHS to WWE, sun_dream is another person you can ask.

WM 6.5.3 upgrade needed for O2 Xda Guide

Hi there,
I have just registered with xda-developers. I have an O2 Xda Guide with WM6.1 Professional and would very much like to upgrade it to the latest 6.5.3.
Please can I have the link to download the correct compatible ROM to upgrade my device to 6.5.3?

or try pcarvalho´s, kosta´s rom also in english (WWE)
or salvy.c.83 italien rom or nikkito spanish rom....
have fun

Or you can begin by reading sticky / using search button instead of creating a thread jsut for you case

oh no...no.... i thought you search a guide for upgrade to wm 6.5...you have a touch cruise 2...also known as Iolite....so here is a link to the rom development

I have a colleague with an O2 Xda Orbit 2 which was the reason I asked. Thanks for the link to the development Alexander.
For my O2 Xda, I'm having problems flashing with the Hard-SPL2. I do exatly as the instructions tell me. Good USB connection through ActiveSync, but when the Guide reboots to start the flash process I get the ERROR [260] : CONNECTION. Please help?

don´t know if hard spl is for all phones the same...but i think not...so search in the iolite rom thread for this

It didnt work for me since i am using WM 6.5 on my HTC Touch Cruise Polaris, could anyone tell me how i could upgrade my OS from 6.5 to 6.5.3 ? My current rom is Megan WWE.
