owlrayyt!! that's good news.. better Start Porting and Cooking!! hope Wizard roms soon have this kernel.. actually, i'm still stuck on the first encarnation of the Touch-Ported rom (my ROM is about 5 months old now).. and i'm eagerly waiting for the WM6.1 roms before i flash again..

So this is a completely compiled rom for HTC Hermes?
Moths ago I heard that it should be possible to exchange some files in WM to switch to another language, just like it can be done on vista with language packs. Is that true? Would be awsome to check out WM6.1 right now

since i don't have a hermes, can anyone confirm this is real 6.1 before i spend the time to port it? theres been alot of false positives....

not just for hermes.. it's now also available for Prophet.. and it's HOMEBREW! now who has any more doubt?

can anyone tell me if this can be flashed on htc gene... i have wm6 rom by mun_rus.. see my signature.. but if this rom can be used on gene then i can learn to cook and dev touch rom for our gene based on this rom

"Look, WM6.5 is very early development stage specially for Uni. Also you must not forget that the OS has not been released yet. Besides, I can see you've just joined to the experimental dev phase and working on WM6.5 is not an ideal assignment in any case (for you).
Anyway, existing module relocation tool doesn't work well for WM6.5. You need to manually check if there is a conflict. It is also known that M$ has changed the slot's address for 6.5.
By the way, I've stopped working on WM6.5 due to it's instability and waiting for a "release" from the carrier."

WM6.5 for Elfin

Hi all,
just saw some vdoz in utube reg WM6.5..wow, I really liked its today screen and most importantly the honeycomb style program list. Is this available for Elfin??
I have as of now installed the Onyx ROM..is it worth giving it a try(installing WM6.5)
U can get more info abt my elfin frm my siggie..please provide me the link frm wher I can update my Elfin WM6.1 to 6.5.

Wow no response yet. Look in the Elfin Rom Section. It's the same place where the Onyx Rom is. I'm currently running his newest 6.5 Rom and love it.

^^thnx for ur reply..I too saw his post..but in the screenshots he has attached, I culdn see the honeycomb style programs list..i thought he has changed it..tht is the reason I was trying to get a link to just update my Windows to 6.5 without any modifications..is it available anywhr?

I beleive a few months ago there was one by Letva (I think) Anyways it is still in honey comb form..... but it's not outlined that way. Not sure if Onyx did that but the newest ROM is supposedly an official version. I think. Don't take my word for it though. I like it better without the honeycombe outline. Makes things less cluttered.

What do you mean update? Do you mean like when official WM6.5 comes out. No... Only select devices will be suported but even then you have to flash the ROM. So you will lose everything you don't back up.
I'm no expert but flashing it is the only way. You can't just install a CAB. If it were that easy I'm sure it would have been done. Anywho just search..... I bet that's why nobody else is answering.

A Windows mobile 6.5 with the original htc ship rom Album pls!

First of all thanks for the help and support from this forum. without you i dont know what i will be doing with a windows mobile phone.
so to the topic - guys can anyone cook a windows mobile vanilla wm6.5 rom with the original htc ship rom album. i kinda like the circle to zoom feature and the rotate feature in the oiginal album. i have been trying to do it my self but couldnt get it to work. and i tried to overwrite the album.exe file with a file i found from this forum by searching which was said to work when over written but it says the program is in use and i tried other ways and got it overwritten but still it doesnt work. all my attempts have failed so i would like this very much thanks and i really appreciate the work you guys are doing.

No replies - i guess its not possible then. guys is there anyway i can get the original album on an already cooked rom like miris 6.5 rom.

Miris repository has the cab for that . Just install that and you have it

will i get the circle to zoom feature by doing this. thanks for the support drgopoos.

Hi all,
I always use a custom rom from others, because there are many people cooking for the devices i had, butt now i return to my htc touch 3g or htc jade and see that the roms are old.
I try cook to my topaz once and i remember that i change sys to have the newest release of win mobile 6.5.
i don't remember the kitchen i use.
I want ask wich kitchen i use to cook win 6.5 in my htc jade?

thanks for your answer, i already made a kitchen with oskitchen, and eliminate some packages and try and it and run on the jade.
Now I'm try to see witch build is the recent one of win 6.5 with the bottoms in the inferior corner and putt it run.

(im thinking about porting my blackstone rom to Artemis, a big job though, plus ill need to fix my Artemis )

yes butt are to different models and with very different memory's and all.
butt htc jade and htc mega are very similar, had the same processor, memory is bigger in htc mega...
i will try port some apps and things, i have to search about that, because there people who have did that...

yeah i know what you meen dude, some stuff can be copied to artemis, or slightly modified for it.
(it wont be for a while, but definatly thinking about doing it.. another project )

so, do you know how to port things from other devices? can you help me port the htc mega things to htc jade?

id have to learn how to port. im not pr0.
