problem with bluetooth-recieving files - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 ROM Development

I have problems with recieving files. I can send files but when someone want to send me sth they got error like: file cannot be send. I've asked about 7 people to send me file and the result was the same.

Have you gone to Comm Manager and turned on BEAM. I realize it is counter intuitive but you must turn on beam to receive files by both IR and BT.

thx its working now. Meantime i have installed BT stack3900. and i dont need it. how to unninstal it?

bluetooth explorer

i had transformer rom and now i have Cloudyfa's Rom clean one.
after i install bluetooth explorer ( aka ftp ), they dont works properly.
"Bluetooth_FTP_Test.cab" called installs and does absolutely nothing (even bluetooth not appears in drop down of file explorer).
other one "SPBTftp.cab" appears in drop down of file explorer, and launches when you click it... BUT after you open it or choose it from file explorer, it does Nothing ( doesnt searches for bluetooth devices around you). Refresh dont works, Bluetooth ON(visible), other bluetooth devices works..., and my bluetooth not dead for sure because i can send file via "beam file" or i can find other devices in default bluetooth searcher.
so my question is : what im doing wrong? or what else i need to do to make it work.. or maybe my cabs su.cks a.ss ? share good ones thanks <3
p.s. as i remember NORMAL version of bf after you open it, it asks you to turn Bluetooth On.

With the BT FTP program (the first one) it should create a link in your Programs folder that will load it directly.

Problem with bluetooh...

Hi... I've a problem with bluetooth... i can send file but I can't receive files from other device... they said failed... uff... what can I do?
go to start-settings-connections-beam and enable the options that you see. then go to the manager comm-bluetooth-ftp and activate bluetooth explorer.
Bluetooth Error
I have same problem with mine. Changed settings as suggested but still can't receive files. All help is appreciated.
What's the other device?
I think it might have something to do with an OBEX regedit needing to be done...not sure what it is exactly but check the wiki...

Hello. I've the same problem. I've proved with four phones (htc, sony, nokia) and with the pc and can't receive by bluetooth.
Have the solution?.
thanks.
Well.. I have a TD and i CAn recieve files from other phones, conputers etc.. So there IS something amiss with the settings on YOUR niki probably.
No.
My configuration is ok. I have a kaiser, I had qtek 9100, s100.
I know what I did.
Yesterday I receive from kaiser; but today I can't.
Regards.

email attachment!!! how??

Probably , i'm DUMB and Stupid, but i have to send an attachment with this f*****g telephone , why is not possible to chose wich file i want to send. if i click on attach it let me choose only between pictures.
I want to send a music file stored in SD\MUSIC.
:mad
there's no menu on the file ,like SEND TO bluetooth, email, mms
Agreed! Maybe it's worth reporting this to the developer of Android File Manager - he might be able to come up with a solution?
I can't think of any decent workarounds unfortunately - telnet prompt solutions are not really workable for everyone (not me, anyway). I'm sure someone out there is running sendmail or something.

Neither you can download any file nor you can Send it.
Its becuase Android dont have proper File storage system.
I think they should allow Saving Attachments to SDCard and also allow Sending that Files from it.

htc to X10 i bluetooth recieveing problem

hi mates ,
My girl friend has bought a new X10 i 1.6 .I have an htc hd2 phone and tried to share with her some apk files which i have collected on my phone for her. Her bluetooth became active and discoverable.then she got a message and pressed accept.on my phone's screen the sending box filled completely and i assumed that her x10 has got the file.but no where on his phone we found the recieved file ! she opened office box and checked all her storages but there was no received file.
she is new to this.my question is where we must look for recevied files via bluetooth on X10 i 1.6.?? and maybe the receiveing process was not complete ?
a simple step by step guide please !
thanx
I found out that sending .apk files via bluetooth doesn't work at all... I tried to send my girlfriend an .apk file with my x10 to her desire and we always got an error. I tried a simple but successful workaround.
1. You both have to download a filemanager first like ESFileManager or AstroFilemanager
2. To send the .apk file rename it to something else in any of these filemanagers before like .jpg for example: music.apk -> music.jpg
3. Sending this file now should be no problem
4. Your girlfriend has to undo step 2 now so rename music.jpg back to music.apk
5. Install the app by clicking on it
Okay, kind of annoying but working
EDIT: oh, should have read better if she got the file you have to use a filemanager described in step 1 und look in the /bluetooth folder on sdcard.. then follow step 5 office box isnt a file manager at all.. it only lets you choose wich textfile you want to open
very wired things ! what a hassle.!
it's amazing that a smart phone like X 10 has not even a simple pre-installed file manager on it's own !
very annoying ! infact its a shame of sony ericsson. I can realise the consept of Android market and google account thing ,....
may be they want enforce people to create google account anyhow...!
the problem is that she has not any file manager on his phone and no excessive time to create a google account and lurking in android market !
