Hi, after flash my X02T (TG01 from SoftBank) with T01A ROM, my phone work good with pin way for restart, but i have some problem for make a connection with SoftBank.
Some ROMS stop at SIM unlock and need a passwork, anothers ROMS i can use the OS, but cant make a connection. My SIM is from SoftBank and my bootloader is from DOCOMO (T01A).
Another ROMS stop with a SIMUnlockP error. I try use the software from TOSHIBA for choise the service, and choise Japan > SoftBank, but this dont work too.
Plz somoene have any idea for make my phone work whith my SIM again?
OBS: SoftBank also called Vodafone Japan.
the connection you mentioned is Wcdma network connection?
Circuit-Switched network or Packer-switched network?
In another word, does this mean now your X02T with T01A rom becomes a PDA,without any network funtion?
try this program, configure to Japan Softbank...I am not sure if works to you...

You might have to dial 01191 + the number, that is the normal way to access India from the US. But that seems strange, because the access numbers should be via your local phone provider. I'm assuming you changed your SIM chip...
Be careful of custom ROMS - your T-mobile HD2 is different from the international version and will not accept a world wide ROM. The ROM has to be made for T-Mobile US.
Yes please make sure if you use a custom Rom that its made for your US model some can be used for both

Thanks stevedebi
My problem is limited to some nos. Most of the nos I can dial. Thats what puzzles me.
Like Blackberry, where you select the country prefix in settings, can I select the country in HD2? Or is there some registry tweak to solve this? I am using an India SIM card. There is no issue with SIM as I am able to dial all nos using same SIM in a different phone.
Is there a ROM update for T-Mobile HD2? Pl help with links...
Thanks
I have a galaxy S4 sch-r970 (from US Cellular) and I am located in Europe (Greece), when I put my local carrier sim it says invalid sim, do you think that my phone is sim locked?. Also in options, at available bands, it has only cdma/lte, no gsm/wcdma to select.Anyone know how can I enable the GSM band to use it in my Country? I know the phone hardware supports the GSM bands, also its written on the manual and on the box. Can I flash a european rom and rebrand the phone to a gt-i9505? or flash another modem to enable GSM?? I cannot find any complete instructions about this. Plase if anyone know what to do give me some light, I have searched all over the internet without a clear answer

Your phone is Qualcomm based. The hardware supports GSM and LTE. Did you try flashing a GT i9505 ROM? That should come with a GSM enabled radio. I wonder if the antennas on your phone support your country's frequencies.

I just tried to flash the custom rom omega now for i9505 and working, but first problem I cannot turn on the wifi.I insert my sim card and it says NO SIM card inserted. At original rom used to say invalid sim. Maybe this has to do with the sim lock. I will try to call us-cellular and ask them for unlock code. Also in supported networks now I have also gsm/wcdma but I when I select one of them it returns back automaticly to CDMA. So maybe its something that has to do with the modem. Can I flash a european modem or it will hard brick my device? anyone know?

Try flashing an XX modem for the i9505 from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192025
That way you won't have to reflash the whole ROM.

Did you try to SIM unlock the phone with the method described here:

MAKE AN EFS BACKUP FIRST!!!

Go into service mode by dialing *#0011# and see what network type settings you find.

are you sure that it is safe to do this? some say flashing another carrier modem can hard brick devices! I dont care if it will soft bricked and then reflash it *with odin to revive but I dont want to end with a complete dead phone
I have copied the entire EFS folder to a safe place? is this enough for backup? also tried already this sim unlock method, but doesnt seem to do something, I still have the invalid sim error message.
by dialing *#0011# I find that has all the network settings about WCDMA,GSM,LTE,CDMA, and also all the frequencies about each band.
another question is: if the hardware its completly the same as the european version, theoretically someone can flash the european modem, rom, kernel and bootloader and transform the device completly to a european model. Can anyone give me a clear answer if this is possible? because I dont know a reason why this cant be done.!! and I am much interested to do this, if its possible

I don't know if the hardware is completely the same or not. You have already flashed Omega 6 which is based on a GSM stock ROM and includes GSM modem firmware which works in Europe.
The issue here imho is configuring the modem correctly, since it was configured by Samsung for US Cellular so it works in CDMA mode. Does the phone go into GSM roaming mode if you plug in a US Cellular SIM card?
Copying the contents of the EFS partition is not enough. I would use an EFS backup/restore app for that task.
Playing with the baseband configuration can hard brick the phone, as some have reported.

the omega rom didnt changed my modem, I can see in about phone but it remains the original.
I have put the us cellular sim card but cannot connect to any network.
Also about EFS, I tried the efs pro but after recognising the phone with ADB doesnt show in the list inside the program. Maybe due to not known model like i9505

You are right about Omega 6 not changing the modem software. I have been using Omega for S3 since Aug 2012 and I thought the modem firmware was always updated to match the rest of the release. Sorry about that mistake.
Can you call US Cellular and ask if they have roaming agreement with your Greek GSM operator? That might shed some light on compatibility.

I will give them a call, but I believe the reason why cannot find network with uscellular sim its not having roaming agreement with Greek GSM as you said. But I dont care about roaming. I want to use my local sim cards for GSM network and pay for local prices.
little update: I just called us-cellular customer care, and they cannot help me! They are trying to tell me that this is a not world phone and I can use it only with their sim cards ! they Dont know also something about sim lock, cannot provide me any unlock codes they said. So, anyone can tell me what can I do now? I dont want to sell it.

Well, if selling it is not an option, you can try flashing an old 9505 XX modem from the post I mentioned previously and then try to SIM unlock it from the service menu.

What about buying an unlock code on eBay? I've done it several times and it usually works. The cost is very low, usually less than 5 US dollars
hey any update

Did you ever manage to solve it?
Hi to All! I'm from Uzbekistan and my provider is Perfectum cdma operator. I bought my redmi 2 from aliexpress. About 2 month I used first slot as cdma. There is no Ev-Do in my country. Thats why I subscribed to GSM operator and put SIM card to first slot and used WCDMA for internet. Regularly updated original MIUI rom. But week ago want to back to my CDMA operator and put Ruim to first slot. The phone cannot connect to cdma network. No signal bar. Tried change bands from *#*#4636#*#* but no result. When put this RUIM to another phone is ok. What should I do to connect to CDMA network?

Thank you very much! But this is for 813 version. Maybe this version is GSM. My is 821 and lost signal only for first CDMA slot. Can I do this method for my 821?
Hi, nurali.
I own the same 821 version. Here in Ukraine "Intertelecom" provides EvDo, it works fine but to get it worked provider's engineer tried several types of R-UIM cards until one of them recognized by phone. So you can ask provider to try other types of R-UIM cards.

can you send me backup of your modem? After 2-3 reflashing my modem baseband version shown as unknown. Is baseband=modem?
