hi guys,
does nayone know if htc's network wizard is available to download to put into a rom build?
Thanks
use the search button- it turns up a bunch of results.
I have this one. Hope it helps. Found it by using search.
Does anybody have the HTC Network Wizard cab that was used for the KAVANA ROM for Tmobile Dash (HTC s620) phone?
Or a Network Wizard cab that will work on smartphones for the networks in the US?

That's great!
Now I have no excuse not to buy the Wizard.
Thanks a lot!
Hi There,
Just found the following info there:
http://www.clieuk.co.uk/wm.shtml
Can output packets to a cap file (ethereal) among other things.
Direct link to the software:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...01-49d4-4506-a03b-c41bc76c2f51&DisplayLang=en
And for those overlooking the instructions:
Only install in ROM, not on Storage/SD
Cheers,
Hal
Software placeholder
Here is the software, just in case some can't access this page.
Now the question is: does it work in L2 promiscuous mode? Would be nice to troubleshoot basic WiFi...
Enjoy,
Hal

I'm wondering how it works overall.. I haven't tried it yet, as I've had this fit of customizing OS ROM's that I think I finally have out of my system.. Need to put it on my device, just haven't gotten that far yet.
I would really like to test this little util, but doesn`t work on my O2 Trion.

Works fine on my Tytn.
ROM 1.18.255.3
Radio 1.03.03.10
ExtROM 1.18.266.106
Find this from other forum. Work fine on my HTC Trinity.

oh its taing too much of real estate My screen area!
Does it support VGA?
Backlight working ?
Does the backlight button work with this release ? In the other version your device will freeze at bootup....anyone tested already ?
btw: seems to be the same version like in the other post....
Cheers
Edit:
Could not wait Just installed, no problems on my device (Artemis) and Backlight-button. Looks cool.
What i don't like: in the GUI-Config you can only add apps from the Programs-directory (for example: when you want to add solitaire (which is stored in "Games"), you need to move the shortcut into the Programs-Folder....or you need to add the registry-key in HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCPlus\Shortcuts manually....or am i wrong ?
But in the end.... i think i stay with HTC Home....
Works on Artemis?!

It's interenting that you had no problems. I also installed on my Artemis with official HTC Asia WM6 rom and yes, it works until you switch off the device. Than you can never switch it on again, only by soft reset with stylus!
So I uninstalled the prog quickly...
Otherwise it would be nice to have it on Today screen, so if someone could construct a bug-free cab from the extracted files I would really welcome it!
cheers
Anybody tried this on a Touch?
The "other" Version (as petervbeck says) in the Hermes Forum doesn't work on the Touch.
I doesn't work on my Touch!
Working on Wizard
HTC Plus is Working on Wizard!
just 2 bugs:
when you select battery status in Customization and you tab on the symbol you go to wifi settings and backlight is not working

I'm using Tom's 4.1 full and as i said, no problems. But in fact- i like HTC Home more, but that's my opinion.... on my device i had no problem with hanging boots or something similar, i tested all the buttons....but not for a long time...then i switched back to HTC home...that's my expirience with Plus..
Cheers
How about a little credit where credit is due? This is the same version I posted in the Hermes forum here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=326689
Today I posted an updated version that should help some people who had problems with it.
This tool was non-functional when I found it. I had to dissassemble the dlls to find out why the utility would not work (missing HTCImgCodec.dll).

Thanks! Keep the great work!

Is the "aplication launching pad" of HTC plus finger-scrollable, or the only way to scroll is by tapping on the arrow?
TIA
Can anyone confirm that it uses less memory than HTC Home?

how do you remove HTC plus!? I like it but it freezes my PPC6700 sometimes. I don't use it but I cannot remove it from the today settings menu. Thanks
I do not know if this plugin supports VGA. If you have a VGA device, try it out and let us know.

Before ask for something, try to search it in the forum...

bye
Thanks. I actually did the search, but somehow didn't get to this link (or maybe I'm just blind)
Enjoy...
Not sure if this has been posted before...
What this CAB does is it either adds or modify this reg key :
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Google\GoogleMaps]
"supports_extended_wifi"="1"
and what that reg key does:
Allows Google Maps to work over WiFi. My location does not work but I believe every other function does work.
Please see here for more info.
I found it in Verizon RHODIUM ROM. Thanks to conflipper for link
Thx but by Default Googlemaps use Wifi ( if active)

Yeah my stock vodafone uk TP2 works with wifi (although i have set mine to use gps as the default).
Then it must be different for users in the United States.
Please see this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4490061#post4490061
Can another user in the USA please try this.
I guess it is another way that US phone companies try to screw the consumer into buying a data plan!

TMO TP2 here, works fine on Wifi as well. Data turned off.
I searched for "pizza" it gave me results as well. No Connection error.
Checked the registry, I dont have this Entry "supports_extended_wifi"

very strange then. from fresh hard reset I can not get google maps with wifi to work. I am using HTC Officieal 6.5 test ROM, HTC Touch Pro2 and I am on AT&T. If I use the Google Maps that comes with stock ROM or my custom ROM it does not work with wifi. I use CAB I made and it works. A couple of other testers also had the same results.
Thanks for input!
Are you using the version of Google Maps that comes with the ROM or did you download the latest one?
Works!
Hi all
This works with Unbranded HTC Touch Pro2, ROM 1.19.401.1 with GM 3.2.1(#12) installed.
Cheers
