So, you want to have a SIS file turned into a CAB file?
Humm, that's not gonna be an easy task since I can't remember the last time someone was able to take the guts of a Symbian file and make it into the guts for a Windows Mobile file.
I have seen sis to jar before, but it's the sama java platform, don't know about sis to exe or cab yes....
Yes something like that I have been reading about turning SIS to CAB but I really don't have the expertice to do a thing like that but maybe reading this can help becuse Adobe have forget us and they are developing only for nokia and iphone... and a big part of the webpage now days have at leat a flash menu...
Thats Impossible
heY sis to cab is n0t possible due to the fact the files contained in the symbian installation file are ment to run on the symbian os not windows mobile.
in the sis they is probebly an .app and .aif and .rsc n mayb a .dll . Whilst in the cab youve got an .exe n .dll but the .dll 4 symbian n win mobile differ they totally different.
So what you should be sayin is extract sis and port the files to winmobile
Thanks for the info I didin't know that but If porting it to windows mobile is posible will be a good thing to have... As I say I'm not a Programmer I'm Just a Graphic Designer with some basic Knowlage of Java scripting HML, Action Script and some basics of Visual Basic... but I notice that Adobe Have fogot form where they came from in terms of Macromedia and What people now days needs becuse flash is averyware and the flash lite is no uptoday becuse of an old flash player...
Depending on the architecture you may be able to use some of the engine, but the UI/API would have to be completely re-written. Yes, it's much easier to port it to J2ME/Java, but then you would need to run Java to run flash & that's not gonna be an efficeint process. Besides that fact, with this type of app I doubt that the engine is seperated from the UI meaning ALL OF THE EXISTING CODE IS USELESS.
Unfortunately, Adobe currently has NO plans on making FL3 for windows mobile. I posted an exchange I had with Adobe here some time back. I doubt they will ever do it because you now have MS working on their own "Flash-like" app/content in silverlight mobile.
I have looked into this issue on several occasions & you'll see similar posts to this if you search, some of them from me. Not getting the answer I wanted, I did a butt load of reading & came to find; "MUCH easier said than done".

I am not as successful as i would have hoped extracting these diamond images from this rom. I have copied the windows folder to my pc and was only able to get the htc audio manager skin. The comm manager and calc skins do not appear to be in the root windows.
Perhaps somebody can point me in the right direction or have already extracted these great looking skins.
The dialer is there, but there are many files i hope to get them all. If i manage this i will post them on xda if they are not already. Since its a herald rom and im sure others would appreciate this, that do not own a herald
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=407646
i cant post them, if i dont know how to extract them all
i am SURE others would care to have these skins
..::yawn::..
You dont need to poste them because the graphics for this were posted about 3 months ago. Lemme do a search for it..... 1 sec..... that was easy, here it is....

Ever find that french battery status diamond theme? That I know is on here as well. I downloaded it from XDA.
Good Luck in your future search's.
thank you
yes i found that french theme
i always search before asking, sometimes i come up empty
so i was wondering just how one would go about editing the flash lite cab floating around here to make it universally compatible amongst ppcs. is it outrageously complex?? are there liek any simple examples someone could give to show how the code might be changed?
i read a little about cab files but really felt like there had to be a simple solution to the overall buginess and unique situations needed for it to work. if some developers or techies can chime in on this ide love to learn a bit about how to accomplish these things. thanks in advance.
Why would you start a new thread rather than ask in the offical Flash Lite thread ?
Just Download OCP WinCe Cab Manger and open flash lite 3.1 and without modifying anything just press Save and now can install on PPC or SP

just a general tendency of people when they want to make sure they're heard.
totally. i just dont want my question to get buried in the 20+ posts per day that thread already gets. ive posted twice with only one response to anything i mentioned in the post. so i really wanted to ask an important question seperate from just "getting it to work somehow". is it possible to modify the file to be more compatible with the Kaiser WM6.1 so that it will function well right off the bat.
is the real issue that this cab and the opera versions everyone is using are both unofficial? meaning they both still contain bugs and compatibility problems. i wish there was a way to maybe rewrite the Flash Lite program that extracted so that its more universal.
btw, what does the above mentioned software do exactly?? since its already installable, im wondering if someone could change the program itself to work better with wm6.1 roms, and the latest version of opera 99% of time.
wow i posted not too long ago, this thread is now 4-5 pages burried!! hehe. so many posters. i guess thats why i love this site. but then again, i just wish someone would throw out some suggestions.
bump...would like to see this get working on at least all wm6.1 devices.
Hi all..! I have a euro niki 100, and just upgraded to Windows mobile 6.1 using the official rom update from HTC.. Speeds etc is better with 6.1..
However, i've encountered one minor issue with this upgrade.. It ships with Esmertec Jbed. And I guess this particular build doesn't play nice with Opera Mini.
The included build (i guess in the rom upgrade) is build 20080131. Opera Mini does work, however, the workarounds for getting it to work as signed (without the annoying nag screens) don't seem to work for me anymore. I think the old Java Vm version is the culprit. Is this version update-able..? I mean, i can't remove the current version using add/remove programs on the device.. Or is there a better Java VM out there, which would allow me to run, say Nokia s60 games aswell..? (read something about that aswell..) Some pointers please..? TIA
121 views and no reply whatsoever..? Wow..
having similar issue but not able to see any solution
Well, at least i have it fixed with the Esmertec jbed version that's in the default wm 6.1 update.
The workaround thats posted everywhere (edit the selector.utf file) doesn't seem to work (anymore?) because another file is missing (either in WM6.1 or in the newer version of Opera Mini, i don't know, would guess the latter..)
Anways, the solution to this "problem" is almost the same as in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=380504
In short; edit the selector.utf file as mentioned in the thread.. You should be able to find it in the \Windows\appdb directory on your device. Then, and this differs from the thread mentioned before, don't create or look for a JavaDb folder in your \Application Data directory, cause it doesn't exist. Instead, place the posted policy.utf file in the \Windows\appdb directory for the selector.utf fix to work. Kinda stupid i didn't try this before, but the search on XDA din't help me out there either so..
Now to see how Java games run on this Esmertec Jbed client..
Edit: Credits to truggl for posting his fix and uploading the necessary files..
hello community,
I dont know where to post my problem otherwise so I do it here. It is a Windows Mobile based problem so I have to post it in a section about Windows Mobile
Ok. Lets go I have Opera Mobile 10 (Ninja Duck Edition from here) and everytime I want to open a link from Twitter or email or if I want to open an HTML file, I get the following error message (I try to translate it right )
Opera10-armv4i.exe
Die File "Opera10-armv4i" cannot be openned. It is either not signed with a trusted security certificate, or one of its components can not be found. If the problem persists, try to install the new file or restore.
I use RTT RTM TEN in german language... I know that there can be found a fix here, but this is for WWE ROMs I think because it has the wrong folder structure names...

I hope someone can help me here, because I dont got help in our german forums
Best regards

hiiii....
i m using android on my diamond & want to have some cool apps to work on but downloading from market is a task i dont want to do...is there any place where i can download the .apk file & install it on my diamond...plz help me with link or reply...
thanks!
what android version are u using and where did you get it from ?
i am searching this topic for weeks now and can't find a solution on how to copy a working android port on my touch diamond.
seems there is no such webpage and i can't find a forum post that just tells me "here is the most up to date and best android version for touch diamond in a zip file, just copy this to your htc root folder and you're done."
gets me sick.
same with win7 ports. can't find a serious thread for this topic with a simple post like : here is the actual port.. this runs, that doesnt, copy the zip to your root and run the .cab file.
is it really so difficult for people to just do that instead of writing thousands of forum posts to gather 15 different files, and 10 have to be different to make it work.. it's like hell.
and please.. just use the android market, my gf is doing this all day and it works very good. you can search for free apps in topics and with a free search option and you got ALL android apps available. what do you want even more ?
