i dont know why i waited so long to do it but im glad i did. it is awesome. i was ready to throw the phone into the wall with the stock rom, so i tried this dcd's 1.6.8 rom for verizon and it is awesome. very polished and the phone and internet worked right away after the rom was updated. i didnt even need to do a *228 or call verizon to let them know my phone wasnt working due to a hard reset.
it is faster, more stable and just nice and clean re-freshing feeling. all the issues i had with the stock rom are gone.

I have searched but cant find a straight answer. I had a xv6700 and used the kitchen without an issue to make 6.1 roms it seem all the 6900 roms are sprint.
I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a regular verizon not alltel wm6.1 rom with no bugs ex. 6700 had the worst battery drain problem when i installed 6.1 an found nothing to fix it thats why i upgrded to the new phone any help would be appreciated.
I think there should be a dedicated verizon thread now that it has been released im sure there are other people with the same questions.
Thanks again for any help anyone can provide
With no bugs... I am constantly working the bugs out of mine... No where near anything i want to release and support online... There is a kitchen you can get from ppcgeeks or better yet from ppckitchen.org that you can use to make your own rom for the xv6900
ok thanks also do they make the rom installers that dont require the use of a kitchen program just basicly a 1 click upgrade .exe

Hey, it's 2011 and this thread is helping me!
2012 and its helping me! >_<;
HTC 6900
2016 and this post keeps me from having to drill through my 5 TB of backup files to access the ROMs that I used to cook.
Ebay is supplying me with several devices to convert to remote security and pest repellent stations.
Thaks for keeping this post available.
Hello,
I am new to this site, I've read and read about the cooked ROMS for the HTC phones. I'm anxious for the 6.1 update to come out for AT&T, anyone know when this will come out? I know that the TyTn II update came out, but when I log into HTC's website, it's nowhere to be found. However, if I decide to go with a Cooked ROM, can someone direct me to what I first need to do to prepare my phone for it, and where I can load the latest Cooked ROM?
Also, anyone who was scared to brick their phone and did the Cooked ROM how is it and what do you recommend?
One last thing, if I do load a cooked ROM on my phone, and AT&T releases the 6.1 update, I could easily update it with that correct?
Any help is appreciated.
There is a dedicated Kaiser (AKA Tilt) forum
And the stickies there (mainly the Wiki) got it all.
Ok I've installed several different roms since getting my phone yesterday, but I haven't really found one that would stick with me like the original T-mobile rom does. Call me crazy, but I kind of like the rom that came with the phone. I was wondering if I could revert to that rom and how it is done? Also if I did this would I be able to install hardspl in the future to put cooked roms on the phone if I found one that I ended up liking? Sorry if this has been asked before I did a search and didn't really find my answer.
here ya go....

I flash the 2.10.1 ROM whenever I want to go back to the stock stuff and the Hard SPL is still in place with no need to reinstall it.
Thanks I seen that thread earlier lol I just needed some confirmation that that's what I needed to do thanks man I appreciate it. Going to install the version you said and see what happens do I flash it the same way as a cooked rom?
Never mind I figured it out thanks for the help I love this website been a member for a long time, but hadn't had a htc phone since my tilt thanks
NP man!!
My first HTC phone was a Tilt ... then went to a G1 and now HD2
hello i have the motorola q first edition, it currently has wm5 on it and i would like to upgrade to 6,6.1 or even 6.5 if possible, over at hellomotoq.com forum, i posted a thread and someone replied back and said its not possible, but i googled my question and found that at&t had an update for the moto q to use either 6.1 or 6.5 i cant remember which one it was, so i know its possible and can handle it, the only thing is my carrier is sprint, so im not sure if that will work with me...can someone please help me...thanks.
I think that was the moto Qc or Qm that may have gotten the upgrade. Last I looked (2 years ago). No one had done it for the original Q that sprint had.
hmm, i see. well in any case i have phone a fresh install of WM 6.0. in order for it to work on the Q im willing to invest the time in working on it, but would like to know what will i need to change in order for it to work...is the a wiki or FAQ on how to port and cook a rom?
So maybe you guys can help me out. New to the SF, not new to flashing/rooting/etc...
I am simply looking for a rom (other than Powerwashed) that works with Cricket with no other BS required. Just flash and reboot.
I have no idea why this forum is so much more convoluted than the Eris forums, but it's hard to find things here.
im just trying to find out if i put a custom rom on my fascinate will it remove my flash.
im running 2.1 O.F and lots of apps tell me to update to 2.2
