Alright guys....I flashed back to the original TMobile Wing Rom and subscribed to the Tmobile MyFavs service to save alot of money. Tmobile then downloaded the myFavs application to my device and for your enjoyment I copied all of the files (including the buddy icons).
I then flashed the Open Touch 2.4 Rom (great Rom !!!) and placed the files directly in the Windows folder of the device (must be done manually on the device). Within seconds the TMobile application popped on the screen.
The only problem is that if you hard-reset your device you lose the applications; if someone knows how to keep this from happening it would be great.
Enjoy
You need to cook it into the rom for it not to go away on a hard reset.
just for theheck of it do you think this might work with non t mobile wing units like the att tilt?

Hi guys,
I was trying different ROM's on my Universal today, to see what the different operators were offering. When I came across the Orange Today Plugin. I like the idea of it, but not the setup.
So, I was wondering if anyone here knew how to add, remove, or change the items in this plugin ?
I did a little search of the forum for an answer to this question, but it seems i'm looking to do the opposite to what everyone else is doing.
re
could u be more specific...
In this screen dump, you can see the plugin.
I'd like to be able to change the selections and the links in each selection.
For example, change the five links in the Web selection of the screen dump to five of my own URL's.
Or better still, add or replace one of the selections in the plugin with one that points to My Device. That when highlighted would have links to 'My Docs' 'SD Card' 'Program Files' etc.
I hope that makes sence.
I'm searching the same solution.

Hi filippodisvevia,
I fonud how to change the URL's, but not the sections.
Look in your Windows folder for a file called Full_one.xml, the URL's are at the top and the link names are near the bottom.
Good luck
thnx

Hi cudo,
Here http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=61711&highlight=today+plugi+orange you can file the cab e some other file.
I'd like to personalize the cab if I understand how it work.
It works on qtek 9000\jasjar\xdaexec so I think is good for t-mobile too.
Hi Guys,
That plugin is from the SPV M3100 and works diferently to the Universal version. See my post at the bottom of that link above.
If you want the proper Universal Today Plugin with bigger icons for the Universals bigger screen. You'll have to install the Orange M5000 ROM, as its built into it. Plus the Orange ROM has just been updated with a new Radio driver.
I'm using the new Orange ROM, with the last O2 Ext ROM, and the Signed_ORUK_HomeScreenReg.sa.CAB from the Orange Ext ROM as it has the Reg settings for the plugin. And everything is working great. 8)

I installed the cab posted and works fine on my wizard. Although u do lose all your other today plugin functionality. But the plugin is handy. even though limited in use.
I was thinking of finding some great developers on this site who would like to creat such a program but which could be used alongside the other today plugins. Anyone interested let me know.
Cheers,
Shah
What do you mean "finding some great developers"?
@filippodisvevia,
Heres the CAB file, but it ONLY works with the Orange ROMs. As the files needed aren't in the other ROM's.
@gtm55,
You need the Orange ROM installed before the CAB file will work.

Great or good developers. Who are able to program such a plugin. because u have beginner programmers, novice programmers, and advanced programmers and if you like great programmers.
Just to keep it simple a person or persons who are able to create such a apps, which is usable in different WM phone devices. I just used great, because I know there are some pretty great (good) programmers on this site.
Cheers,
Shah
Thank you, ZaForD, I really like Orange plug-in, but I'll stay with T-mobile (1.30.115 WWE).

Hi, I'm looking for some help. My UK t-mobile Vario II phoned was killed in a car door, needless to say my insurance paid up for a replacement but they replaced it with a HTC Tytn which doesn't have some of the accessories that came with the T-Mobile Vario II I had.
I'm looking for the t-mobile today theme which gives a series of shortcut icons to various phone features, namely
Web and Walk, Contacts, Phone, Messages, Organiser
I downloaded the extended rom for the Vario II from this web site, which contains the settings, configuration and accessories applied to the Vario II by t-mobile.
Does anyone know which CAB file in the extended rom has this accessory/theme or does anyone know where I can download it directly or what it is called or recommend a good replacement?
Would really appreciate the help
Thanks in advance
Ersen
I am also looking for the T-Mobile Today theme. Anybody?
What you're probably going to have to do is flash the ROM to one of the T-Mobile ROMs. You'll find a listing of the ROMs that are available in the Wiki along with the instructions as to how to do it.

Keen to share with me the T-Mobile Blue Theme?
hey ppl
got myself a HTC Diamond touch a few weeks ago and so far i love the fone am in Australia so i had to buy the telstra one its unlocked but still has the telstra pre loaded stuff.
i am a vodafone user and have got the VF MMS and internet working
not interested in a cooked rom yet.
but here is my questions.
how do i use the iphone theme on this rom?
cant find manila folder, is it hidden if so how do i make it un hidden.
aslo in botom left corner it has bigpond link on the bar how can i change this to say contacts or even messages?
cheers guys
i did try using search but couldnt find a clear cut answer, think it came down to the words i am using to search.
oh well anyone with help thanks.
Which iphone theme to you mean?
There is no folder for the manila files, they are all in the Windows folder. If the theme has just these manila files, you need to use a program like total commander to copy the files from the theme's folder, straight into the windows folder, overwriting everything.
then soft re-set, and you should be all good.
If it is a .theme file, then you need to download TF3D Config, save the .theme file to a folder on the phone, and then point the program to the folder. Then, the program will do it all for you, and its easy to change back if you need to.
Hope that helps!
Hi mate,
As above for changing your themes.
The only other extra note to add to that is the simplicity of cabs. Just run the file and it will install for you.
I did the hard work for you:
If you want an iPhone style theme - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=425956&highlight=iphone+icons
Alternative small round iPhone - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=437100&highlight=iphone+icons
And lastly for the Bigpond softkey, you want this program - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2485292#post2485292
Grab the .cab file.
I also strongly suggest a cooked ROM. Once you get rid of that Tel**** ROM you won't look back
Cheers,
Byron.
Hey Uziel,
What did you have to do to get mms and internet working? I have similar issue but I am with virginmobile. Haven't been able to get mms or internet working yet. Not sure if it is some telstra settings stuffing the connection up.
Just a general question that you suggested dickenz. What cooked ROM would you suggest for us with Tel**** ROM's?
Cheers
iFonz
I use iFonz - quite fun and customisable....makes my iPhone friends chuckle...

Hi biggirdz,
For the virginmobile settings - My suggestion is to give Virgin a call and tell them you have a Windows Mobile 6.1 device (don't state it's a Diamond as they don't have Touch Diamonds yet I don't think and they might turn you away as it is 'unsupported') and tell them you want to set up MMS and internet.
EDIT: Just had a thought. If you have a Telstra Diamond with a Virgin SIM I think you'll need to create a completely secondary connection. Again, Virgin ***SHOULD*** be able to run you through this over the phone. Maybe even go on their website and see which Windows mobile devices they do have and tell them it's one of those so you get the settings out of them you want.
I'd go for Panosha 2.4 if you want a 'finished' ROM. But if you don't mind one in the testing phase dutty's is excellent aswell.
I am currently using udK's but he has only had 2 releases so far. However I am very impressed. There are a few bugs but I am sure udK will iron them out in future releases.

So I just got my T-Mobile HD2 and I was wondering if that TP2 Visual Voicemail cab was the same one that's included in the HD2?? If not, how can I extract it from the stock rom?? Thanks
?????????????????
its on the hd2.
i asked in the tmobile forums didnt get an answer.
does this cost extra?

it was free for the TP2, as long as you had the correct data plan, ie the $30+ one. i think you had to go to mytmobile to select it, and the option would only show up if you had the correct plan. i couldn't add it, since i had tzones and vvm was not worth losing my current plan.
The reason I asked is because I flashed a cooked rom and it doesn't have the visual voicemail built in. Can I use the same cab as the TP2?
Nevermind, I have confirmed it's the same cab for HD2 and TP2.

I know, but if i flash another rom on it i will lose it. Using TMOUS BTw
Hello,
I'm finally buying the HD2 that I should of bought when i got my nokia N97.
It's the T-Mobile flavor by design as i intend to use it on iWireless 3g which is an affiliate and uses the same 1700/2100 3g.
I intend to unlock it via code and then plan to unbrand it via firmware and via facia replacement.
I'm looking for the latest unbranded/streamlined/stable T-Mobile USA rom that is out??
suggestions???
also, will i need to replace the boot splash or is that included in the rom?
Thank you
main suggestion is go to the tmous (t mo us) specific section and look there.
less risk of flashing the wrong thing.

The U.S. HD2 has smaller physical dimensions than international HD2s.
well the front facia is specifically for T-mobile hd2(but unbranded) so i still fail to see the problem..
I unlocked it, hspl3, and flashed 3 diff roms so far.
kumar, energy and now laurentius v4 which im extremely happy with.
So basically a done deal.
unlocked, debranded, and now using iwireless 3g 1700/2100
within an hour of receiving it thanks to this website.
So whats up with the screen position??
my n97 changes the orientation as i turn the phone from up to landscape and back..the hd2 seems to only do this in certain apps and menu items?
is this a hardware issue or win mobile?
I guess im just a little confused about this..

The screen rotation is only enabled in certain apps, yes. The easiest way to enable it in a program that doesn't have it already, is to download and install BSB tweaks, which has an option to let you asign auto-rotation abilities to virtually any program that you can install on your device.
Thank you.
and btw..
I found this rom to be very nice
HD3.0 UnOff Series 21914
so far is my fav.

New Question
Ok,
Things are going great...love the phone. blows away the N97 in most regards...
I Really like it.
MMS & WAP all configured on the phone which is running "unlimited - 3G Talk Text Data" Pay In Advance with iWireless(T-Mobile affiliate)...3G working Great..etc..
The Question I have now is can i run a T-Mobile Rom and enter my own mms settings? or will it just default to the locked down tmobile mms setting on the stock rom? Is there a new version of a connection wizard-tool-setup that has Iwireless prepaid and actually will work with a T-Mobile Rom?
I'm using the cracing Rom at the moment and really like it but I also like the idea of using the stock T-Mobile roms...even though iWireless is a T-Mobile affiliate they do not share the same mms settings...
LIL HELP?
is there a config tool to do this for me or a reg hack?
my current rom has a great "Connection Setup" app which works great..
I'm beginning to ramble so i will just leave it at that and I hope someone Can help with this...I presume someone else has been in this situation..??
the connection app you refer to is 'connectionsetup' which all roms except tmous have as standard.
Do a search for connectionsetup.cab, its available in several threads. Plus, since its a cab install, you can install it, it runs automatically at restart, sets up your connection, then you can uninstall it, saving 12meg.
yup, i found like 6 of them and found a couple that work quite well.
I have a new question...I'm having problems with icons being jagged on apps that are installed after the flash...
Is there an icon rebuild app or something to remedy this?
rebooting doesnt fix it..
its driving me nuts..
I have a nice looking list of apps etc and then these straglers that look oddly out of place due to their resolution...
there is i think an icon cache which you can clear, but ive never dealt with it so dont know where it is. Look in the hints and tips threasd maybe.
