is there one? I had a treo for years and really enjoyed the way I could assign colors to categories. I haven't found an app for the Mogul that allows that. Does anyone know of one I could try? thanks!
free today and tomorow only
free today and tomorow only - Pocket Informant - does what you want and more! http://software.pocketpcthoughts.com/product.asp?id=1025
not really what I'm looking for. I tried it and it's way too complicated! And it highlighted the whole appt, not what I'm referring to. Made it hard to read depending on the color. I am looking for something rather simple like the Treo 650/700 has.
There's Agendus.

I think I know the answer to this question, but what is that program with caller picture thumbnails you have?
Ant
Hey that looks so cool, what software do you use to get you desktop looking like that?
Nothin' Fancy
Kinda boring but it works for me
The first screen is for work, the second for play.
I usually switch both sims and desktops.
Note to self: I need to get a dual sim adaptor
New to making themes and struggling with VGA themes but this is my current screen. If anyone is better at this and cares to help me sort this out I'd be extreamly grateful!!!

My old Universal. Haven't dusted her off for quite a while.

How is vjsihaya coming along?

LOL,
how do you make this great screen ???
That is SUPER !!!
I was just looking at the screenshot - January 2006! Sheesh. I haven't programmed anything specific for VJSihaya since then - reason being, when I had the idea way back when, I knew what I wanted it to do, but knew what I had to go away and learn LOTS of new stuff.
I've been tinkering with different ideas, bits and bobs, so that I can eventually throw them together to make it as complete as I want it to be.
Like I've said elsewhere, stuff like VJVolubilis is just R&D, that I've released stand alone, but I like the idea of VJSihaya. However, HTC really need to get more VGA screens out. I'm thinking of going to TyTN, and at QVGA VJSihaya isn't as beautiful

Sorry for stupid question, but how do you change your screen to make it look like DavidT's?

I think that is WisBar Advance he is using. It is not free though.
Yep thats Wisbar Advance I'm using along with a windows vista theme. The picture dialer is the one ripped off from the Treo 700W and was designed for QVGA and square screens thats why it looks so small on the Universal's VGA screen but it still works great
A couple of questions:
Does it not totally destroy your eyes trying to read the text on true VGA mode?
I used WisBar Advance once when I had my alpine - it made it so there was no ring when an incoming call happened, are there any problems with using it on a phone now? If not, do you know why not? Is it the new device or a newer version of the WisBar software?
Thanks guys, I'm off to investigate Wizbar Advance!
Anjow - to answer your question.
Yes the text is small in VGA mode - in Word set your font size to 7 point font size (perhaps 6 - hard to tell) and you'll get an idea of how big the text is.
I find it perfectly readable and LOVE the extra space it gives me, browsing the internet actually becomes worthwhile as well!
VJBigPhone makes the phone work properly on VGA (Thanks again!!!) - my only problem is that Solitaire still thinks it's using 320x240 and is too small!!!
It depends upon personal preference and what you intend to use the device for.

Do you mean on my PC or my device? If on my device it seems I can't go lower than 8?
Thanks.
Sorry I meant on your PC
Hmm, perhaps tolerable then. I'm surprised because when I'm using pocket opera some of the text is really tiny already? Perhaps that's a feature of opera though.

What plugin are u using for the memory used and battery life status on your today screen?
That wud be a great help since, i am looking for a similar but light weight plugin. Pocket plus has it but i find it heavy and thus don't use it anymore.
on HTC home screen. How can I set it to show today date for calendar and task. I saw some of you have that on yours, and some even have how many days to the next task, etc.
How can I do that?
I use SPB Diary, others use SBSH PocketBreeze. Look into either of these and see if they are what you are looking for.

Then try TodayAgenda It's freeware.
I'm looking for a weather program for my XV-6800. I don't want something that adds weather to the today screen, but something that shows it seperately.
Any ideas?
Here's a great program, and it's free:

im just the opposite, I want some that adds something to the today screen. I use weatherpanel, but I'm looking for something new to use, that actually gets updated now and again. I like how I can make weatherpanel use small icons and get a 7 day outlook easily.
Any ideas?

I don't use Touchflow3D, because i like this one better
ok here it is...
My today screen.. today
And where's yours ?
Here is Mine :
Here's mine... I don't use TF3D either so I'm using SPB Pocket Plus along with a selection of other 3rd-party Today plugins. SPB Phone Suite, in combination with the standard WM notifications, gives me massively better functionality than I found in TF3D. Free RAM is 62MB after a soft-reset or 70MB if I use the standard WM dialer rather than the HTC one. Skins for the WM dialer can be found here.
I've configured Pocket Plus to auto-hide its tabs so that I'm returned to the task manager and music player whenever I close or minimize a program or press the Home key. The free plugin I'm using as a task manager is called DevState 1.5, which is capable of showing all kinds of device information and even launching programs but those features are already handled by Pocket Plus. Pocket Plus has its own task manager too (pictured) but it's handy to have an extra one that's thumb friendly. Pocket Player, TouchPal and Resco Explorer (so useful I've put it on my right soft-key) are some of the other programs that I feel really enhance the Diamond's abilities but, like most of the programs I've mentioned, they aren't free.
If anyone's got any queries, drop me a PM and I'll see if I can help. Oh, and the photo was taken near Ölüdeniz in Turkey

This is a thread for pictuers of your today screen. And not a request section. Dont ruin this thread with nonsens. If u need a clock, wallpaper or theme, then search after it in the threads that is already made by other skilled ppl. And
please keep this section on topic.
I really find it un-user-friendly
Im always going week-day-month-year over and over again.
can anyone suggest something decent please?
standard windows mobile. and i have to say .. its ba far the most powerfull calender i met. works basicly exactly like the outlook one does.
whats the problem???
I find Pocket Informant to be the best. Worth the money!
I've found SBSH Calendar Touch to be the best for light usage, pocket informant has many more advanced features though.
Can pocket informant preset reoccuring events so i dont have to enter starttime, endtime, category ect. everytime?

well i find its not very easy to navigate. for example if im looking for when my mates wedding is and i know its in january, i have to go through all the dates, when im wrong, then press day week month 3 times to get back to month try again....
i just do not find it user-friendly at all. i think the calendar on my old w810i was much better.

You can just choose the month or other look from the menu, without pressing all over again.
I'm happy I can have so many views.
IT IS one of the best calendars out there.
BTW if you look for somethin', just use Search app.
Get ThumbCal. It's seriously good stuff! Looks good too.

I think you can still find the free version of thumbcall .(it`s an old version but it works fine on the xperia try freeware site)
Still haven't found a decent free one. I just don't feel like paying a lot for a function that should be good in the first place.
depends on the point of view ... i like it alot and dislike most of the other calenders which are available.

Yep. You can use oggsync to sync google calendar with your winMO calendar. It works like a charm. never had any trouble with it.
I have many reoccurring events like soccer practices and my job (only in the weekends) and it handles those perfectly.
In an attempt to turn this topic into something a bit more informative;
Here's the summary of beforementioned calendar applications, these are all paid.
- Pocket informant
- Thumbcal (personal favourite)
- SBSH
- Google calendar
---
Now my problem is that these all cost 15~30 bucks which is just a bit too much imo.
Thing to keep in mind that they must be able to work with WVGA.
Who knows some more nice calenders we can try out?
