I need to block someone from calling or texting me if I can and I dont want to change my number
there must be something I can do with my o2 xda mini s to block a number?

I use Call Firewall (attached a zip). I don't know if you can block text messages, but it is efective in blocking numbers. I have mine set to block unknown/private numbers, and any numbers not found in my contacts list. Hope this helps/is what you were looking for. Some of the cooked WM6 roms also have this program incorporated into their rom.
i just need to block one number and i know what it is, i dont want to block withheld numbers as I need to receive calls from these and I understand that this would mean the person could simply withhold their number
would that program work to that extent?
blocking texts would also be required

I am searching one software for my smartphone which could achieve this function as below:
It can detect the send out SMS which is un-authorizated by myself .
those SMSs always sent at background that I can not noticed it and not find the recording in sent out log. It is stealthy.
Because I download some mediaplayer sofwares by internet, when I run the Application, it sent the specifically code to some number at background which means ordering some service,and will cost money.
I hope it can give the tooltips when the sms (which is not listed in allow list) auto sent at background and ask me to allow or block it.
I known there are many block tools for call and sms, but all of them block the incoming messages and calls ,not outcoming SMSs and calls.
Do you known whether there is the software? Please let me known.

I found that the SMS send is failure if changed the Number of SMS Center from system setting(e.g from +8613800210050 to +8613800880050 which is an invalid number.)
I don not know whether it would block all the SMSs (including the SMS sent by stealthily) after changing the number of SMS Center?

I was wondering if there are any apps to block specific phone numbers? Sometimes I get spam from party promoters and I have no idea how they got my number. And clingy ex-girlfriends As far as I know the only way to block numbers is to get your service provider to do it (I might be wrong?), so I thought it would be nice if there were an app that could do it for you, like you could enter a list of the numbers you want to block, and when you're looking at a list view of your text messages or call history, there would be a "block number" option. Is there anything like this?

I haven't tried this myself as I don't get any calls I need to block at the moment but this is supposed to do what you want (CallFirewall):

I needed to block someone, i wont go into the reason why but if you want to do it permanently..... i had to change my number, and it cost me roughly £30 (with Orange), not sure about temporary. If you are able to block a specific number from calling or texting you, what's to stop the person just using a different phone!
I would think that you'd have to contact your carrier and have them block the number.
there are an software called call firewall that block the incoming calls and mesages from the number you choose

I use Magicall -- works a treat. You can set many parameters so you have a lot of control on what goes on. Has always worked for me on many ROMs.

Is there an app to block incoming calls from an entire area code? I get telemarketers from Phoenix on a daily basis. No matter how many numbers I block, they always manage to call from a different number.
Alternatively, is there a call blocking app which has a list I can edit by means of a text file? If so, I can just do something in Excel and have it increment by 1 until I have all 10 million numbers blocked. Of course, that would have to be a HUGE text file!
I program I use which is really great, but not free, is called MagiCall. I think it's well worth the money though cause it lets you block not only calls, but sms and it does incoming and outgoing. This program will let you block a whole area code, or any other way you want to block a number. You never even notice when it blocks a call, unless you want to notice it, then you can set it to show a notification

I bought MagiCall and installed it but I don't get how to block by area code
EDIT: Figured it out!
Examples:
To block the entire area code 852, enter (852)* or (852)???-????.
To block any phone number containing 7, enter *7*.
To block all other phone numbers except 12345678, enter ~12345678.
If you want to block phone number 633-7777 but not care about its area codes or country codes, just enter 633-7777.
Each item consists of a phone number and an optional comment using one space as the separator, so please don't leave spaces among phone numbers. To separate multiple items, use ';'. For example: (123)456-7890 Jack Will; (987)654-3210 Peter Lee; 135-790-8642

Hello guys,
I'm looking to block numbers without letting the calling party/person to know. Actually when we block a number there will be a busy tone and calling person can easily know that his/her number is blocked. Unfortunately there is no other mode of blocking numbers.
I was using RCB (Root call blocker) in my previous device where i could use the mode of blocking numbers where there were continuous rings but in actual the number was blocked; and the calling person dont know if his/her number is blocked.
I dont wanna root the phone (S8) because of not loosing the secure folder.
Please do share if there is any app or any way to do it. Thanks,
