It's still got all the factory seals on the battery case, screen and keyboard, unopened manuals etc.
This is an upgrade from one of my contracts and is all above-board

Spoke to Mackaby007 about selling it for devs but he's sorted a cheap one for now. I'd keep hold of it for that purpose but I could do with the money at the moment.
There are differing opinions on what a good price is at the moment but I'm sure I'd be cheaper than most for a virginal Ameo. Just looking for one or two offers to deliberate.

It is indeed, an upgrade from one of my contracts.
Believe I should be able to get it subsidy unlocked, though how worthwhile this would be depends on how long it takes for a free solution to come about.
Was looking for around 450. Good price I think for an untouched device from a T-Mobile shop, but I'm up for negotiation.

Forgot to mention in my last post - I will accept an N95 in part exchange, providing it is either unlocked or on t-mobile and not faulty!
I am based in the Midlands in the UK. Collection is preferred as it makes things a lot more straightforward though I will obviously arrange postage if this is the preferred option.

Anyone looking to buy a WING?

I've had my wing for a little less than 2 months. I found an awesome deal on an IPHONE I can't pass up. It looks brand new. Always keep it on my hip in the leather pouch. I paid almost 350 for it back in Feb. I'm just looking to get what I need for the iphone which is 275. I have a friend who can ship stuff for me cheap, so that price will include shipping. I am listing it on EBAY tonight as well, but I thought I would give someone here (who actually appreciates this phone) a chance on a great deal. I am listing it on ebay for 300. That seems to be the going rate. Since so many people here helped me after I got this phone, I figured it would be a nice gesture to help someone else here out and give them a great deal.

I hope you read the blogs on the Iphone before you purchase the phone. In my opinion you should keep the wing & add the the program thats almost the same. there are alot of issues on the iphone

taz is right, iPhone is real buggy at the moment.
I suggest you keep the Wing and buy an iPhone seperatly. If the iPhone is really good, it'll pay back itselfs

Buy a G1 on Ebay or Elsewhere

This seller seems to have multiple G1's to sell, the price is insane but that's what you get for a pre-release device, if anybody's interested go for it and come back with information.

I can get a G1 for a pretty good price, more than the retail will be but it hasn't released and will sell out quick, so yeah. Would anyone be interested in a G1 for like $600 shipped, I'll send it out on Monday morning overnighted USPS with insurance? Brand new, still in box. Let me know.

I actually do need a nice watch, my last Citizen watch finally broke after like 5 years. My wrist feels empty.
As for the iPhone, I have an iPhone 3G brand new in box like 8 feet away from me... And no intentions and/or temptations of removing it from the factory packaging.
Back to the G1, I think I have someone set to buy, but I'll update here later on.

Isn't full price $399...? Only having T-Mobile specific 3G bands, the G1 wouldn't get past EDGE on other carriers like AT&T...

Exactly, it would only get EDGE on AT&T... Why do you think I'd never buy one for myself?
And yeah, full price is $399 but considering they're already sold out and then some on preorders, good luck getting one any time soon.
I could get the phone for like $450-460 shipped right now, but like I said, I have no use for it. There are people paying $1000+ for them, so I figured 600 wouldn't be too bad for both sides.

The pre-order alottment is sold out, yes. The stores in 3G areas will be getting them on Oct. 22nd though. I guess if someone in a non-3G market wanted one ASAP and didn't want to wait until 11/10 -- might be happy to find you

There won't be plenty in stores, if you preordered before October 3rd you'll get yours shipped 22nd-23rd, if you preorder after it'll take them longer to get it to you. I'm willing to bet this turns out to be a lesser iPhone surge, but like I said it's irrelevant to me because I have AT&T. I was going to buy and re-sell it, instead I just gave the guy who asked me contact info of where to get it for $460, I'm too lazy to go through that.

Yeah can't say im shocked about people like this who try and rip people off, if i had that much money to spend on a phone it sure wouldn't be spent on the g1!!

Pretty expensive right? 626,95 USD (4 670,03 SEK) incl shipping to Sweden + tax and customs, but what options do you have when ordering to Europe? Is there a better deal, preferrable "Buy it now"?

I have mine for a few hours and already have it listed on eBay. I had to just touch it and look at it and now .. UP FOR AUCTION. I have the Xperia on order. I think it comes the end of the month. All I know is Windows Mobile.
Any way .. the phone is awesome. The thing I like the best as to the way it is built is the slide mechanism of the keyboard,. I think I have owned just about every GOOD PHONE out this year, including the HTC Touch Pro .. this keyboard is the nicest and the feel and the weight is just perfect. Hoping I like my Xperia as well ...

... I couldn't do it .. My auction was over $300 and I cancelled all bids and put my sim card back in. I will probably still buy the Xperia when it comes out - unless I fall in love with the dream. And if I don't I think I will give the Dream to my son rather than 'scalp' it on eBay.
Haven't had time to figure out how to just do the simple things .. I want to learn how to voice dial .. When I close a program is it really CLOSED or is it still running in the background sucking the life out of my battery ?? Viable to purchase unlocked g1's off ebay?
Hey guys,
I've found some "unlocked" handsets on ebay for sale, but was wondering if they would still be restricted to the 2g network??
As that's where I thought they were currently with their "unlocking" process...
Also does T-Mobile do anything special in order for gmail to push mail to the device, or is that just like controlled entreily over a standard data connection?

2g/3g isn't a restriction. Its a hardware limitation.

When the phone is fully unlocked it will work on any network with both 2G and 3G.

From what I know it will not work with ATT 3G as they are different frequencies and I have heard lots of problems with peoples Unlocked G1's syncing to google/gmail under other carriers other than T-Mobile.

Do you reckon this would be a good deal on a HTC Touch HD...

I dont know if this is the right place to ask this but I was planning on putting my HTC Touch HD up for sale (planning on buying a HTC Hero ). I've only had it a few months and not used it that much, as I use a work phone the majority of the time. No scratches on screen or phone itself at all. I plan on selling with a variety of applications I have downloaded over the few months. I am thinking of setting the asking price as £300. I was wondering if you thought this was reasonable giving this description.

Thats a pretty good price, you could check what there selling for on Ebay too you may even get offers on here also there is a Marketplace thread you can post on which will draw interest, I wouldnt worry about the being on Orange as people can flash new Roms and not have to use Orange, I would attach Pictures of course.........Good luck, If i didnt have a wife I would buy a second HD from you lol

Price on E-Bay for 'real' sales rather then ones that sell then get re-listed a couple of days later have been dropping pretty consistently.
I'd say £220-£240 is probably a good target price now.

Hmm about £200 also it's almost brand new as I got one from warranty about 3 weeks ago and it also has a spare otter box aswell.

Dell has dumped their inventory of AT&T DVP on TechSoup org and they are going for $31 each till there gone. They come with the SIM unlock code.
If you know someone who works for a non-profit in the US you can get one through them. Up to 20 can be ordered by each organization.

I have one to sell, but it's a little beat up and has some significant AMOLED dimming. I think I'll take my chances on ebay. Even though you can get a decent 32GB MicroSDHC card for about $15, the a 32GB version of this phone sells for significantly more than a 8GB version.
A little while ago Secondipity's ebay store had 8GB models accepting best offer submissions of $100. That's the best deal I've seen. Even at that price, it took them a couple weeks to sell out. Now prices are higher. They were the T-Mobile version, but as I've read on the forum, it's just the same hardware flashed with different ROMs.
Either way, you may want to hold off buying anything until you hear what Microsoft has to say at the Windows Phone 8 announcement scheduled for June 20th.

Sorry sold my VP to CeX for £114 and bought an S3 the phone was nearing the end of it's life and, if dell were reluctant to fix a small issue with the compass then, I highly doubt they'll send out an upgrade for the discountinued phone. Bye WP7 and I'll only come back when I'm bored of android. Ciao.

I personally bought the DVP from this seller. ACTUALLY, he is like a half mile away from my home! HAHA. If you order from him, I can make sure he sends you a good working DVP. I am actually helping him unlock some other phones he has and removing some demo software on some Samsung Focus and HTC HD7 phones. He has a few DVP that are kinda messed up and 2 or 3 in pretty good condition. check it out. Look at his other auctions.

Ended up selling my extra one for about $150. Prices were lower last month when an liquidator was trying to move some stock. Prices may go down again with today's announcement that WP7 handsets will not be updated to WP8.
