For everybody that is still looking for an alarm clock, from the creator of G-Invaders, a more peacefull application: G-Alarm.
The clock supports VGA and it is free
description (by the author):
"G-Alarm is a free alarm clock for many Windows Mobile based PDAs, PocketPCs or Smartphones.
G-Alarm is a alarm clock with special mechanism to wake you up. I'm a person who needs some activity in the morning, so I decided to make a alarm which asks me to guide a ball through a labyrinth before I can stop or snooze the alarm."

now i do know why the program installed itself under the ageye directory together with g-invaders
first thank you and after that one question: why the alarm does not repeat? i have to use full songs. ring tones are not repeated. can u do something about it?
After I've uninstall this program everytime I use the original alarm I get an error like the galarm.exe is missing.
I've never used this program just installed run it ... watch it ... then unistall it.
Hi ageye,
Really like your GAlarm.
Any chance you would include a talking clock/alarm or have Galarm execute a talking clock program or other program when it's time to activate alarm?
Thanks.

How I can change the sound of Clock alarm? It is not present in Sound and Notifications...
When you set the alarm and time, click on the alarm icon on the left of the days
But, I'd recommend you get G-Alarm insted I find it much better.
If you are using the built in alarms, click on the bell symbol in Clock & Alarms -> Alarms.
Here you can select the sound, if it repeats and whether to flash and vibrate.
omg ty
and how to add more then three alarms? I am surprised of this limit...
You can't to my knowledge.
With G-Alarm however, you can have many many alarms setup, and you have a much broader options and configs.
I highly recommend using it insted of the basic windows alarm:

How can I make the alarm notification repeat? I remember how to do it on a touchscreen version but not the smartphone version.
Cheers
I use dontforget. look for dontforgetsp.cab
if you set an alarm on the calender item you get a 2 sec. sound and that is it..
anyone know a way to change the calender notification sound and/or make it longer... and louder thanks.
You cannot change the sound so easily. The SGS would need a trackpad ou touchpad to select the Calender of which you want to change the notification sound.
But you can try searching calender notifier in market. This should allow you to change the sound. Personally haven´t tried it because i don´t use the calender to remind me.

this pissing me off too:/
Yeah, and I thought I ve done something wrong. Unbelivable. I am starting to think that Android has not so much over Symbian. Very dissapointed. For every little damn thing we need to get a third party application. I am moving to Nokia N8 as soon as it's released. This android is exactly like windows mobile. A bunch of third party apps to get the basic stuff going.

I use this calendar snooze, its brilliant, you get a prompt to snooze for any length of time, just like in old windows mobile and you can setup the calendar notification sound, etc...
if your phone is rooted you can change the notification sound, i've done this some week ago by replacing original audio file with a custom and longer sound. If you want to try search in developement or theme forum

I just switched over to the new CM7 yesterday and am quite happy with it thus far, except for one thing. I really loved being able to set the alarm clock app by spinning the wheel to the correct number on the original ROM. I'm guessing this was part of the Sense UI setup. Is there any alarm clock app that has something similar? I've downloaded a couple and though obviously the widgets and UI differ, they've all had the same boring + - to change the times. Thanks in advance
yeah, the spinning is part of the sense ui. but now that you bring it up, one thing i miss is being able to use music to wake up to, instead of 'beep beep beep'. i don't want to have to download another alarm to have that :-(
If you use Handcent SMS You can set Music to the Alarm. It allows you to set music to just about all your ringtone & Notifications.
I know it's not ideal to download another alarm app, but there are two small ones in the market (I'm talking kilobytes) that are awesome. "Good Morning" can wake to music with text-to-speech telling you the time, weather, news, etc. AppAlarm can wake you to Pandora or any number of other apps as well. Both work amazingly.
