sdhc - Wing, P4350 General

Hi @ all!
I want to now if sdhc cards run with the Herald!?
Some people say, "yes it works with a rom upgrade", and some say "you need a driver"!
I've got the Touch-IT v2.3 beta.
What did you meen??

Hi,
I'm running Itjes germen Touch it at the moment, and my 4GB SDHC Card is working without problems or any Driver installation.
So I guess the 2.3beta might work too.

Looking For O2 Orbit ARTE200 Roms with SDHC

Hello
I'm new to the ARTEMIS community and only just realised there are so many ARTEMIS models so im confused about which ROMS i can use
I've been looking for a WM6.1 rom with SDHC support for the Orbit ARTE200
got any suggestions ?
Cheers In Advance
Hi
I am more or less in the same boat. My Orbit 1 already has wm6.0
Is it possible / practical to update to 6.1 with touch flo. Will this make it the same / similar to orbit 2 (though slower).
Is processor / rom / ram capable of supporting this spec?
What rom? Is there a comprehensive tutorial?
Thanks in anticipation
Best ROM by far are the Artemis Touch roms, unfortunately the creator has left the forum, but there is a thread here which still has the links. This gives you touchflo, and the HTC Home plugin, amongst various other tools.
I use an Orbit 1 - downloaded the ZIP with Artemis Touch 4.02 full, and there's two batch files in there, first one for USPL, then the second one for the ROM itself.
Artemis Best Rom
Guys, the best Artemis Touch v4.02 is here:
4.02 Full with Cube
4.02 Full with no cube
4.02 Lite with cube
4.02 Lite with no cube
4.02 Vanilla
I've been using it months already, and everything is perfect.

How did it go?
Hi,
I have an O2 UK XDA Orbit (wifes old contract phone) and am interested in unlocking so I can go to vodafone for pop3 gprs and I am considering WM6.
I was wondering if you have flashed your phone yet? How did it go and what version?
Also I have to ask what is the with cube/without cube.
hey
welcomes
well first you have to CID UNLOCK your phone before flashing any ROM or you will brick .. for that see HERE
and second choose a ROM you like.
i don't like cube.. for me not a big deal... the latest thing of these stuff is the manila 2D.
now i'm using the YuE line with manila v11.3 which you can see in my signiture.

how to install wm6 instead of wm5 on my hermes

I have wm5 on my hermes and I want to install wm6, how do I do that and where can I find the wm6 to download???
also I want to install HTC touch flow 3d on the phone where can I find it??
the wm6 I want to intall couse its support much more storage for the storage card the wm5 it only Support up to 2GB
thnx DKT
1st, install Hard SPL V7. Its a must to help stop bricking your Hermes. No guarantees but at least theres a better chance of recovery if something goes wrong.
Then go to the wm06 part of the Hermes forum. All new cooked OSes are there.
Forget touchflow 3D. The Hermes barely supports touchflow 2D (not enough RAM). You need a newer phone for that, omnia or touchpro are good.
If you like the rom you're using, there is a "patch" you can use . Use the search function to find "sd card patch wm05".
Search is your friend....
Cheers...
wow... thanx the "sd card patch wm05" great idea
thats all i wanted and you're wright i do like my rom so i will only install the patch!!!

HTC3300 Artemis - 4GB microSD ?

Hi,
I purchased a 4GB microSD card to upgrade my 1GB microSD, the shopkeeper told my HTC 3300 supports 4GB.
But it doesn't, the 4GB is working fine on my friends Samsung L700.
Is there any upgrade/patch which will make my HTC Armetis welcome the 4GB ?
Pls advice.
Thanks in advance.
Phone specs: original HTC rom & softwares
Win Mobile 6 Professional
CE OS 5.2.1238 (Build 17745.0.2.3)
ROM version: 3.7.707.1 WWE
ROM date: 6/21/07
Radio version: 4.1.13.30
ExtROM version: 3.6.707.101
Hi, with a little search you would have found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=351958. Since you have an original shipped ROM, you may need to install the .cab file you'll find at that link. Cooked ROMs usually include this patch. I have a 4GB memory card working simply GREAT!
Thanks sualc,
yeah i did find the thread after i posted my question , i shud have updated my post earlier but i had to go off...
actually i searched first and into Armetis wiki its mentioned that "MicroSD (SDHC now supported thanks to Bepe)", i started looking into all posts of Bepe but his recent posts is of his ROM, which i'm not very comfortable to load as of now as i want first get my 4GB card issue resolved first....
then it clicked to my grey cells and i searched for SDHC and i got the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=310456&highlight=sdhc and the cab SDHC-Armetis.cab
its working like charm now
and i think i'm smart that i joined xda-developers
Excellent, happy it works for you aswell!!

sd wi-fi don´t work - request Cotulla

Hi cotulla i´m using your rom on my Qtek s100 and it´s work´s fine, but i have a sd Wireless card from sandisk and it doesn´t work i don´t now if it´s because the driver is only for Win Ce can you help me?
My sd model is SDWSDB-256 it´s an Sandisk 256Mb+Wi-fi.
Try diferent driver or change back to 02 rom.
There is no diferent driver, and i want win mobile 6.1 and i wope that cotulla help me
You should try a normal SDCard-like WIFI first, seems that Sandisk 256Mb+Wi-fi couldn't work on PPC,or you should test WWE_O2 version.
If there are drivers for WinCe, then you can't get this to work with a Magician, not even with official ROMs. Windows Mobile and Windows CE are two different things, please learn it already. CE isn't that popular anymore, like in the HP Jornada times
andor44
let me tell you that the drivres for win CE works fine on WM 2003 and are the only drivers existing.
I´ve downgraded my Cotulla rom to WWE_O2 and whith the same driver works fine

Welcome to forums
You must know WM 6.5 runs very slow and takes too much RAM on Universal with 64Mb of RAM (this is the factory original RAM that all Universals came)
You can do a RAM upgrade to 128Mb RAM (if you find a place to do that)
1- You can´t just flash a 128 or 64Mb ROM, you can only flash a 128Mb ROM if you have upgraded your Universal RAM to 128Mb
2. If you want a faster ROM then use a WM6.1 and not WM6.5
3. Read here to find out what is G3 or G4: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=549207 (post 2)
4. As stated many many times before, there is no such "best version" or "best ROM"!!!
Try them all till you get your best!
Said that..... I have found Tomal 8.2 and 8.5 the most stable ones
Read, Search, Respect and Enjoy!
Good luck,
Thanks for you reply.
I have read the post of G3 or G4 but i don't unterstand very well.
If i put an SD Card the HTC will be use like ram memory?
worth put a ram 128mb the htc will be more better or just a litltle?
Thanks
The SD card is a storage card. You can put your applications and their data files on it (if the apps allow this). I use mine to install many applications and put my music, videos, maps and books on it.
The main memory (64MB for most Uni's) is taken by the OS (Windows Mobile 5/6) and other programs installed there, and also is needed by any running programs. This memory cannot be increased by an SD card. It is common to try and place as little as possible here, especially if you only have a 64MB machine.
Only worry about G3/G4 if the ROM is specific to one or the other. In that case, you need to find out if your phone is compatible with that ROM (read wiki). Most ROMs are compatible with G3 and G4 machines.
Hi jonny
Are you happy with 128MB ram you see the diference between 64MB?

A good start would be to familiarise yourself with your device and its specifications, as well as how things work, actually know the basics beforehand, so to speak.
Yes, there is quite a bit of difference in performance between upgrading your device to 128Mb and keeping the standard 64Mb RAM, mainly in the number of programs the device will be able to run simultaneously, as well as being capable to handle resources-hungry applications.
Your Radio cannot be 0.0, you will not be able to run the device in any capacity other than just PDA, therefore it is important to flash the Radio. There are a few radio versions, you can try them and see which gives you the best performance in terms of signal strength and stability.

Linux?
As far as ROMs are concerned, stay with 6.1.

Hi Cali, I run WM6.5 and Opera 10, so 128MB is much better. I can also run my navigation system and listen to music at same time etc etc, which I couldn't with 64MB. (Having 128MB means you can run memory hungry apps like OperaMobile10, and/or run more apps at the same time). [sorry, as enigma says.. I have just read her replies]
If your radio reads 0.0, it just means that's the stock radio that your device came with. I would only change it if you are having reception/connection problems.
