Does anyone know of a replacement for the PIN unlock screen. My company pushes a policy forcing me to lock the phone, fine.
A better app would make it less painful.
Short of that, does anyone know how to make SU2 work when the phone is pin locked?

Wow, it's like working for my company. "That feature will be out with the next release"
Thanks, I'll keep an eye out.
Alternative solution
go to HKLM > security>policies>policies and set 1023 to 1.
That re enables the pin lock screen and you can turn it off

Is there an application out there like this that is freeware? i would love to track the other phones from my phone, but more so so the others on my family plan do not know i am doing it (otherwise they turn off their phone..lol)
ttttttttttt
this would be awesome!
as intriguing an idea as this is, it would require upper level network capabilities that only your service provider can provide. this is also possible if your phones have gps.
Don't quote me, but i'm pretty sure that is the only way.
there has to be some evil genius on here that can do it.
still no evil genius figured this out yet lol... years later..!! =(

It looks like it is good for Windows Mobile platform. I lost Samsung Rant. Does anyone know any sms I can send to my lost phone to retrieve its location?
TIA

This app is able to track other phone's location silently from one's phone.
It is here,

No more support on window mobile tracking app. So far I know still window mobile tracking app has the best choices but sadly they are no longer available..
I was getting annoyed at iPhone users shoving one of these in my face, so here's a reply.
Simply install, and run "InstantRimshot" from Programs. Then hit the big red button.
Notes:
The first play may be a little laggy
SndPlayAsync() is too slow for my liking.. If anyone knows a lightweight *.wav playing system that's fast and works on WM, tell me...
Needs WM6 and above (SndPlayAsync doesn't work on WM5, sorry about that)
My graphic skills are awful... If anyone has a better button, I'd love to use it instead of 20 seconds of me and GIMP...
Tap in the top 40 pixels to exit.
Should work on any resolution WM6 and above touch screen device.

but the sound isn't perfect imo.
Maybe you should copy it from here: http://www.instantrimshot.com/
I take it this is for following around our funny friends for each time they tell a joke?

I tried recording it from there, but it didn't work well...
If anyone has a better sound I'll happily use it.

Does the EVO have the same kind of caller id as the Wildfire?

Our next-generation Caller ID
When someone calls you, your Caller ID doesn’t just tell you their name and number any more – it tells you useful stuff like their Facebook status and birthday date, too.

First of all, I'd like to say that Caller ID feature is pretty freaking awesome.
Second of all, I'd be dumbfounded if HTC didn't include this new version in the Evo. I mean, what's the reasoning on putting it on one of their midrange devices while excluding it from their best smartphone to date?
Unfortunately, no it doesn't. This feature is (as of right now) exclusive to the Wildfire.

As of right now, meaning within the first couple weeks there will most likely be someone who cooks a rom that has it built in, and with the recent rooting of the rom, that day will be probably before launch date of the phone lol
wow, I didn't see anything about that caller id til mentioned here.... really cool
I was just having a look around on google, with not much luck...
Does anybody know if there is an app, which allows the android style lock screen to be used on the Leo.
If you do, a link would be very much appreciated.
Thanks.
ThrottlLock is the only one that I know of presently. It's okay, but at least it is free...

Thanks, tried it out, but not exactly what i was looking for. Was hoping for something a bit more aesthetically appealing, like the lock on the HTC desire...thanks again anyway.

Is there a lockscreen where you could input a code to unlock the phone?
In PocketShield you can setup PIN lock also.

Exactly and it works pretty fine. Add a pin and your safe to leave it on the table lol.
Im with the starter of this thread on this one.
My brother has the Nexus One with the Desire rom and I am jealous at the fact that he can have music control on his lock screen.
How can I get that sort of stuff on my HD2?
I think Cookie's hometab has a lock screen widget for controlling music.
Long time waiting for a solution to mirror wp screen to pc/tv/projector. It Seems that currently there is no solution for wp (although we have seen it in Microsoft' presentations, and people from Microsoft have told us that due to Security reasons it can only be done with a device with an especial rom with that implemented).
Perhaps now that ativ s have been unlocked, it could be done. Any ideas?

I don't think its due to security reason but rather patent issues..
Anyway, it doesn't matter the reasons, the fact is that there is NO way to make a live presentation with your Phone, isn't it? Brrrr

Sad but true.
The current state of hacking is interop-unlock.
If anybody can hack the bootloader and custom roms are available maybe this feature can be enabled.
Wasn't the issue to do with drivers. I'm still not sure we can fiddle at that level
